I have a Blackberry curve 8520. i was charging it and fell asleep when I woke up it wont turn on no red light and lets out a long low beep. I've tried the battery pull and still the same. I downloaded the desktop manager but the computer does not recognize it anymore.
So today I was listening to music and browins Internet on my phone, hab about 43% of battery and out of nowhere the phone made one long beeb and restarted itself.
how to stop the awful beep sound during calls for the Galaxy S5? I know there is a thread on this for the Note S4 but the way to turn it off on that device (the enhanced lte trick) is not available/ a feature on the Galaxy S5. The tone is so horrible sounding and hurts my ears.
-Yes have check minute minder- it is off -The sound occurs on speaker, while using headphones, or just holding the phone to my ear. -There does not seem to be a pattern for time or frequency of the tone. -The one thing i have noticed is that it always occurs when I talk to people who have iPhones, but there does not seem to be a consistency with droids.
When my iPhone dies completely, I plug it into my MacBook Pro and it takes a solid 7 or 8 minutes before the silver apple shows up and it turns on. Whenever I push the home button, the drained battery icon shows. Is this normal? The same thing happens with my iPad.
Windows 7 seems to take ages to start using the phone's connection, after you change the connection type. The internet and sharing center thing hangs for like ten minutes, then it connects.Ubuntu doesn't seem to suffer from this problem.
When making or receiving calls, during the first 5-10 secs. of call i get this weird tone in the ear piece. It's like the tone if you have a call waiting, but the thing is there is no other call. It's getting pretty annoying because it does this on every call. The wife's phone does the samething. We do have the latest update on the 8530.
Just got a refurbished D2G, the Nav app takes a long time to long on > 10min sometimes. Anyone else having this issue? Called VZW up they claim that google pushed out an update which breaks Nav. I called BS, then he tried to blame it on the hurricane.I have been through 4 of these phones, all with different annoying problems, Getting tired of it.
I just bought a Curve (6 weeks) and I am having problems with the battery charge. I have already changed it once via Bell Mobility. Here is an example of what I mean. My phone was fully charged at13:00. I turned the wi-fi, the network, and the bluetooth off. I made no calls. We are now 16:30. My battery is at 70%. This does not seem normal. Can someone offer a solution other than Bell Mobility (lousy service) and Blackberry (even lousier service) Is it possible that that the replacement battery given to me by Bell was another dud?
I have an 8900 and my battery lasts about 15-20 hours even though the phone is in standby mode for most of the time. Is this normal? How long does yours last? No WiFi or Bluetooth on all the time, rarely WiFi.
I am downloading updates for my Curve 9300,first why does it have to download 659 modules this seems a lot??It has reached 286 and stuck?? what happens when I un plug as your advisory say it can render my device useless?
When I first put it on, right after I got it from my service providers it died within three hours, which I figured was just because it was the first time it has ever been on. I charged it all night, and the next day took it off the charger at 7am and it died at 1pm. That's a 6 hour lifespan.
I have a Curve 8530 on Telus (about 7 months old). It takes anywhere from 5-15 minutes for me to receive an email. My huband (9700 on Telus) has sent me an email and we timed it to take 14 minutes. I have 2 accounts on the BB - a corporate and a hotmail account, and the timing is the same for either. I have done a battery pull, backed up my phone and updated it - nothing works.
My BBM has been not sending messages for up to half an hour at times, it just stays on the red clock. It's been like this for a while, I went into the store and they told me to do a software update. I tried that and it got better for a while and then started playing up again.
My Blackberry was once able to send longer text messages now I can't do it at all. I have to break all my messages apart and it's becoming incredibly irritating since I mostly text all the time.
I'm about to switch over to the 8530 and I was just wondering how long you can keep sms/mms texts in your inbox until it becomes "full" and no longer accepts incoming texts (or if that even happens). I had a voyager way before my BBs and I remember when my texts would start getting around 100, it would prompt me with a message saying "Inbox is 80% full. Delete messages..." And I don't know how this works for the bb. And because of the 5.0 threaded sms software, I'll feel prompted to keep the texts longer instead of deleting them every night because it'll be threaded, not messy...
My other question is, (obviously I haven't used my 8530 yet), When you get a text, does that thread move to the top of the inbox or do you have to scroll through and look through all of the people in your inbox to see which one is new? How is the set-up/how does it work.
I noticed that while charging with a charger that is not supplied with the phone, there is the sound that the phone makes when you first plug into a charger, and then while charging, it beeps every so often.....I believe its because I'm charging with a 1A charger, instead of the new 2A charger, but Verizon told me they were backwards compatible. If so, is there a way to silence this alert?
Does anybody know an app where I can specify the time of day I want my e-mail (and possibly other functions) to give an audible beep?
I like having my e-mail beep while I'm awake, but I get a lot of mail throughout the night and I hate hearing the e-mail beep (especially when it wakes me up). I also don't want to have to set the phone to silent or drill down into the settings. It seems like it shouldn't be hard to have e-mail beep only during a specified time range.
I dropped my iphone 4s in water almost a week ago. My camera wouldn't open and the vibration was very light. I put it in dry rice for 2 days and it worked again. The only thing that's not working right now is the led light. The light won't go off. Is there something i can do?
Can we have a feature to start a pre-selected playlist when a run or what ever is started, its a right pain to have to go and start the playlist then start the run, wait for GPS etc etc.
my blackberry curve 8530 will not start up. it continuously loads and when its done loading it reloads. i cannot do anything from my computer because the phone will not connect to the computer if its not on. i have tried starting it in safe mode but nothing happens.
My Curve 8520 is freezing on start up. What happened was my facebook app froze after I tried to log out so I decided to re-boot the phone and now it freezes 3/4s into the start up. I have tried connecting with my desktop software, it is being recognised but not connecting fully so therefore I can't connect with any of the function ie restore. I have tried to do a safe re-boot but it still sticks at the same point.
I am not able to use the camera. whenever i try to do it the message "could not start camera. close other applications and try opening the camera again".
