View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Curve 8520 is freezing on start up. What happened was my facebook app froze after I tried to log out so I decided to re-boot the phone and now it freezes 3/4s into the start up. I have tried connecting with my desktop software, it is being recognised but not connecting fully so therefore I can't connect with any of the function ie restore. I have tried to do a safe re-boot but it still sticks at the same point.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSome background info:Carrier: Vodafone (holland)Model: Blackberry curve (I think 8520 but I am not 100% sure).OS version: unknown (I think maybe 5, but I am not sure sorry, since it won't start up I can't check. my phone is about 3 years old, I've tried to install updates but on the website it always sais that there is no new updates available whenever I try).
The problem:Since yesterday afternoon, my blackberry won't start up.When I plug it in, nothing happens. When it is plugged in and I hold the green button, a red light appears for about 20 seconds, this disappears and then after about 10 seconds a large picture of abattery with lightning appears (it is light blue and it is large, not in top of the screen but in screen center). After a a few seconds that one disappears as well.
Ive tried:
- another charger
- remove battery
- remove battery and replace after 5 minutes
- remove battery and replace after 5 minutes while phone was on charger
- left it on the charger the entire night.
I don't recall doing anything special before this happened, my phone worked. A couple of hours before I had plenty of battery.
I do think this happened before, but after starting it a couple of times (pressing some buttons at once, battery pull) it started again. Now it doesn't .
- What is most likely ging on
- How I can start my blackberry up again.
I have a curve 8530 and last night it was running slow so I pulled the battery to do a restart and now all it does is start loading then the bar reaches the end and it shuts off and restarts nothing else when I try to hook up to my desk top software it says it cannot communicate while rebooting

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed my Facebook app found on the application world on the phone last ight. After it successfully installed the phone asked me to reboot. By doing so the phone went of, But does not come on agian. The red light flashes ans flashes and.. Anyway, then it goes on and of and on and of..I only had the phone for a couple of hours, after Vodacom gave me 1 back, because my prevoiuse one kept on taking green photos. That one i only had a week. i waited 3 weeks for the other one to arrive, and now this... is it just a BALCKBERRY RED CURVE giving this problems or what. Non of my friends has a red, and theirs are working PREFECT. 2nd unit had a sticker at the back - " REFURBISHED UNIT"?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was using my blackberry on low battery, listening to voice notes on blackberry messenger (another user was sending some series of voice messages, one after another), when my other phone rang I've pressed the pause button to answer my other device. When I came back to my device, I noticed it was totally dead. I assumed it ran out of battery, but after 3 hours plugged to the wall charger, I still have no sign of life from the phone, not even the led light turned on.So I unplugged it and try to connect via USB to the notebook, no answer either.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the 8330 phone. For the last 3 days it's said "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again." I've searched the error on main bb help screens. Even found where others had same issue here. OK so it was one person and he got response to remove the battery and reinstall. While I've done that no less the 6 times. Others had commented on persons post that it didn't work either.I don't have many apps on my phone. None I've downloaded in the past week.

So i got a blackberry 2 days ago and thought i would get blackberry app world. So i downloaded it, it told me there was an error about java script or something like that. Then it say to finish downloading blackberry app world i have to reboot it. When i clicked reboot it went straight to a black screen! And it stayed lke this for the rest of the night, until morning. The red light keeps on flashing but when i try to turn it on, it wont.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI received a call then I clicked the volume button to silence the phone, then after a while I noticed that the phone is totally hanged, so I tried to do a hard reset by removing the battery and putting it back again, but while booting the progress bar goes up to about 70% and then it stops and the phone never starts..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a curve 8310 with me, which suddenly stopped working a few days ago. I'd been travelling, and the phone was low on battery, so i switched it off - hoping to be able to start it the next day. However (and god only knows why), the phone hasnt woken up since then..When i plug my charger in it, there's no response from the phone - the LED/screen doesnt glow at all; and the phone obviously doesnt boot.On connecting via USB to a PC having BB desktop manager, the computer briefly recognises the phone via its PIN...but this is only for about 3-4 seconds. Immidiately after this, the phone gets *disconnected* from the dsktp mgr, and i see a '?' on the screen for a while......and then in another few seoncds the phone plays dead. Its out of warranty (3 years old or so), and i wanted to know if there's some way in which i can load the OS again/make this phone work. Am in a remote place, so havent been able to go to the service centre for getting it repaired.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry curve 8520. i was charging it and fell asleep when I woke up it wont turn on no red light and lets out a long low beep. I've tried the battery pull and still the same. I downloaded the desktop manager but the computer does not recognize it anymore.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo earlier I reset my phone by pressing Alt+Right Shift+Del.And since then it' just been freezing on the start up screen with the Blackberry logo and loading bar, the bar loads to 2/3 of the way full and then stops. I've tried pulling the battery out, plugging it into USB etc.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI updated my blackberry 2 days ago and everything worked find, until I ran out of battery this morning. So I charged it and was able to go on internet to check my mails, BUT THEN a message popped up on my phone saying that an update has been successfully installed or something similar, and the phone just switched off itself.
Now I can't do anything with the phone, and it tells me I have no battery, but I have a battery ! How stupid is that ? It wouldn't be able to tell me I have no battery if I hadn't any battery! I can't even charged it !
This is basically the same problem as This post, with the red light showing and I have like 3 second of the progress bar and then it show the no battery logo!
I installed Blackberry protect on my curve 8520. After installation, it asked me to reboot phone. After that it won't start?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got me a BlackBerry Curve 8520 and installed the latest version - 822 that leaked but still no show. My problem is that I can't find the AppWorld - I mean can't find it anywhere in the menu. And the Application list says I have it installed. Anyone has any idea?! Look all over the menu but somehow can't see from where to start it up.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a big problem on my blackberry. My battery died last night. i went to charge it this morning and about half an hour later i turned my phone on. It got past the loading page and got stuck on the Tmobile startup screen. I cannot see my main home screen and pressing any of the buttons does not work either. Yet i can hear text messsages coming to my phone but cannot see them. Before the Tmobile startup screen a message appears saying 'media card inserted.' I took it out and it said 'media card removed.' I have restarted my blackberry by taking the battery out many times now it is not loading to the homepage.
