Does anybody know an app where I can specify the time of day I want my e-mail (and possibly other functions) to give an audible beep?
I like having my e-mail beep while I'm awake, but I get a lot of mail throughout the night and I hate hearing the e-mail beep (especially when it wakes me up). I also don't want to have to set the phone to silent or drill down into the settings. It seems like it shouldn't be hard to have e-mail beep only during a specified time range.
I have turned off notifications for mail on my iphone. It shows that it is off. Why do I keep getting beeped every time I get and email if this notification is turned off. I have turned the phone off and back on with hopes that this would work to no avail.
HELP: My 4S keeps downloading and then re-downloading e-mail messages after they are deleted from the phone. My company uses Godaddy.com as their e-mail server. It is a POP3 account.
In Outlook 2010, I keep the message on the server for 9 days in case I am out of town and can't acces my computer in the office. But I am unsure why the e-mail messages keep getting re-downloaded after they have been downloaded on the iPhone.
If I set the iPhone to delete the message after downloading, will my GoDaddy server delete the message? Or will that change only control how many times the phone downloads the message? My BB never had an issue like this and this is the only frustration so far with the iPhone. I suppose i can always delete the e-mails on the server twice a week, but it's just one more thing to do.
I use my S5 to read / respond to corporate emails. At work we use MS Exchange server / Outlook which defaults the email font to 11pt Calibri for both new emails and replies. But whenever I respond to a work email using the stock S5 email app it uses 11pt Times New Roman for the response I type. Not only that but I noticed that it even converts prior messages in the thread to 11pt Times New Roman though they were originally 11pt Calibri. The interesting thing is that while it converts prior email message body content to 11pt Times New Roman it actually uses 10pt Tahoma font for the email header section (i.e. From:, Sent:, To:, etc.) which does actually look much more similar to Calibri than Times New Roman does.
This is all very unfortunate since I would like to use my phone as a seamless extension of my PC. I would like emails sent from my PC or phone to be indistinguishable from each other by the readers. By converting all body content to Times New Roman, it not only looks really bad / unprofessional but it immediately identifies that the email was composed on the phone. As I mentioned above the stock email sender does seem able to use Tahoma font... so as a compromise I would even accept that my replies would default to Tahoma font instead of Times New Roman.
This seems to be longstanding issue for many people using Samsung Galaxy phones and going back to the S3. I saw the "Change outgoing email font?" Though that post was for the S3 and highlighted the problem of changing the outgoing font... it did not call out that the problem is in fact deeper since the stock email system changes fonts of past emails in the thread!?
I dropped my iphone 4s in water almost a week ago. My camera wouldn't open and the vibration was very light. I put it in dry rice for 2 days and it worked again. The only thing that's not working right now is the led light. The light won't go off. Is there something i can do?
The last time I synced with Outlook, a lot of the same contacts came up multiple times -- around 50+ times each. Seems the only way to delete them is individually. I would like to know the following: 1) is there a way to do multiple deletes and 2) what made this happen.
Is there a way to get an AUDIBLE tone or beep from this iPhone 3GS when the battery gets to the 20% mark..?? This whole pop up window on the screen indicator is worthless to me... especially while on a conversation and all of a sudden the call is dropped to find out the battery went LOW and the phone died Or im tethering and all of a sudden i loose internet & to find out the phone died cause the battery went too low.
is there a way to change the beep that sounds on followup messages when texting? It is weak and hard to hear. I know how to change the initial sound/alert, but after that, when continuing a conversation, the weak little beep is all that happens.
I noticed that while charging with a charger that is not supplied with the phone, there is the sound that the phone makes when you first plug into a charger, and then while charging, it beeps every so often.....I believe its because I'm charging with a 1A charger, instead of the new 2A charger, but Verizon told me they were backwards compatible. If so, is there a way to silence this alert?
So today I was listening to music and browins Internet on my phone, hab about 43% of battery and out of nowhere the phone made one long beeb and restarted itself.
I have a Blackberry curve 8520. i was charging it and fell asleep when I woke up it wont turn on no red light and lets out a long low beep. I've tried the battery pull and still the same. I downloaded the desktop manager but the computer does not recognize it anymore.
I have a friend that just bought this BlackBerry Bold 9700 and the call waiting beep volume is so low he is missing his calls. He called blackberry, his provider and is getting nowhere they keep telling him to return the device for a new one and he did once but of course didn't fix this problem. They came out with a new download that was suppose to fix this problem but guess what it didn't.Blackberry doesn't seem to care about this problem but you bet if it was their buisness calls they was missing they'd fix it faster.Anyone no of any new News on this? How do you turn off the in call notification beep for incoming messages? If you have the volume turned up for the voice call it's piercing when a message alert goes off.
I get a random beep and/or random screen ons in the middle of the night. What would cause it, because there is no consistency. The beep sound isn't any of my notification sounds either. It hasn't happened every night (or at least I haven't woken up to it).
Could my charger be affecting it? (My old phone never did it on this charger, but who knows. I'm also waiting for my QI charger to show up and replace my normal charger)....
I do charge my phone at night. Is there a setting that beeps when the battery is charged? Is there something that would tell the screen to turn on for any reason? I'm pretty sure it isn't any apps, since I've only had the phone for a week and haven't loaded very many.
how to stop the awful beep sound during calls for the Galaxy S5? I know there is a thread on this for the Note S4 but the way to turn it off on that device (the enhanced lte trick) is not available/ a feature on the Galaxy S5. The tone is so horrible sounding and hurts my ears.
-Yes have check minute minder- it is off -The sound occurs on speaker, while using headphones, or just holding the phone to my ear. -There does not seem to be a pattern for time or frequency of the tone. -The one thing i have noticed is that it always occurs when I talk to people who have iPhones, but there does not seem to be a consistency with droids.
One annoying issue with the G3 is that it will beep when the battery is full and often continue beeping every so often. It's quite annoying. I have my phone set to silent at night to avoid this behavior. Is the G4 plagued with the same issue?
So I just got my new Moto x and when I go to use google now prompt, it comes on but theres no beep. There is no verbal talk back when I need to enter a pin like it use to on my 2013 edition(android 4.4) either. In addition, I notice that while im in vibrate, it will change my sound settings out of vibrate and basically increase the volume for media so when I click around, i hear the audible "click" too. WTF?
THe google now talk back search responses seem to work fine but the volume sort of fades in and higher as it starts to talk back. Basically, the initial beep and voice upon activating google now doesn't work but responses with search or weather, etc. work ok. I made sure my media volume was up and that didn't work....
I have an HTC One Dual Sim and while the phone is great, have had stellar battery as an added bonus, there is this very annoying static "pop" or "blip" whilst speaking on the phone. It is not regular, but very frequent. More often than not, a word or part of a sentence gets eaten up. Almost like the notification light can be heard as it flashed, but I checked this and there were no messages, mails, IM's or anything coming into or out of the phone.
I changed the phone thinking there may be an anomaly, but the 2nd one does the same thing as well..
Does this phone have the option to turn off in-call notifications, I can't find the setting.
I have my Z5 Premium on my at&t network and I will occasionally get a loud electronic screeching or beeping when a call connects or disconnects. I've tried a few different sim cards and a factory reset and the issue seems to, at very best, just happen less frequently.
I am not receiving an audio notification of an incoming message when I am on a call. I typically end a call to find important txt and email messages waiting for me in the notification bar. This is a feature that I have had on every non-android phone. My emails and sms apps are set to Priority. Call and message interruptions are turned on.
