I tryed with 2 differenent LCDs but the screen is blank.iPhone is recognized by iTunes and it does output the sound. But there is no picture. When i got up it was still doing this but the progress bar gets a quarter of the way then the screen goes blank & it starts again. It has now been about 8 hours & its STILL doing this. For a month or so now, it is difficult to start the main screen with the double tap so could be an issue with touch screen, although once turned on with power button, using touch screen is fine. It's just that initial double tap to turn screen on that is tough sometimes.
When I get screen on, can use speaker or not, and i can use dialpad to dial, say for instance to get to voicemail. However, once dialed, the screen goes blank and I'm not able to turn it on by double tapping, by using power button, etc. The only way to get back to using my phone is when the other side has hung up. Then I can start using power button again.
I don't hold phone near proximity sensor, I don't think it's dirty, I don't use a case. I will put the phone down on the table flat and it will stay on. I then move my hand over it starting at bottom and when it gets a little ways from the top, it goes blank. When I remove my hand, with nothing in the way, it stays that way and I can't do anything.
I'd like not to try the next step which is factory reset and backup, as I have not done that before and really don't want to reinstall everything.

May 1, 2015I get a random beep and/or random screen ons in the middle of the night. What would cause it, because there is no consistency. The beep sound isn't any of my notification sounds either. It hasn't happened every night (or at least I haven't woken up to it).

May 24, 2012I had a MacBook Air and a 6 year old desktop PC. Everything I had was on both of them, so they acted as each other's back up. This Sunday evening just gone, my PC finally died a traumatic death, and I can't even get it to boot from Safe Mode. Then on Monday while I was at work, my house was burgled, and my MacBook Air was stolen, amongst many other things. All I have now is my iPhone 4S which was with me at the time. All my music, photos, videos etc are on my iPhone, but I'm very aware that when I eventually get my replacement MacBook from our insurance company (I'm being realistic and accepting that I'll never see my stuff again), as soon as I plug my phone into a blank iTunes library, I'll lose everything that's on there. Obviously I can re-download everything I've purchased from iTunes, though it will take a VERY long time and I still won't have playlists etc, and I can probably either Dropbox or email what photos I have on there, but I have a lot of video clips from over the last few years that aren't on my camera roll - they're in the phone as proper videos, in the video player app, and I can't get Dropbox to view that location, or figure out how to email them. The videos are very important to me and I really don't want to lose them; so much so that I'm thinking of never syncing my iPhone ever again! Basically, what I'm asking is, how can I copy everything from my iPhone into a blank iTunes library?

May 13, 2012All of a sudden Twitter has stopped working on my phone. Whenever I click on the app twitter loads to blank white screen with a blue bar acoss the top.
