Over the last day my iphone 4 has started to, whilst in the middle of using it for anything, going to a blank screen and then back to the home page. I have all apps up to date, I recently bought an iPad and have iCloud and that's the only thing that I have done differently I think.

I Have an Iphone 4, 6 months old, regular use for games,Ive noticed over the past few days i has been resetting itslef, today whilst logging into a game (draw something) the screen broke up into a million colours and went black however it still has power on.Ive tried the home and power button to reset but this does not do anything. is there another way to do a complete shut down as the screen is black and 1. cannot swipe to shut down. ive tried plugging into iTunes but there is no response and does not recognise the phone. When calling the phone it remains unresponsive however it still rings out on the calling line.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden Twitter has stopped working on my phone. Whenever I click on the app twitter loads to blank white screen with a blue bar acoss the top. Also when I try to go into the twitter settings menu it freezes and I have to go back to the home screen and end the settngs process before I can use it again.
I've tried deleting and re-installing the app, turning phone on and off, resetting the network settings and restoring from a back up and nothing works. I also tried downloading Echofon, another twitter app which wouldn't work either which suggests the problem is with the phone.

Woke up this morning and hit the home button on my iPhone, only to have the screen flicker white and then turn off. I tried pressing the home and sleep buttons, with no luck. In the fist five minutes, the screen flickered white 3 times but then proceeded to a dark screen and has not turned on since.
I have attempted soft and hard resets like some other users, but the screen is still blank. I even put the phone into recovery mode and attempted to get it running with iTunes. I re-installed 3.1.2, but no luck. The sleep button is pretty iffy, and requires you to hold it down in certain positions to get it to work, so it has been hit or miss to get the phone into recovery mode.
Two weeks ago, I reformatted the phone, updated to 3.1.2, jailbroke and unlocked the phone with blackra1n, with no problems in functionality.I also tried re-installing from a backup. I get vibration notifications in conjunctions with emails (since I see them on my laptop at the same time as the vibration), so I know there is some functionality, I just can't see anything. There is no passcode on the phone either.
My guess is the LCD went out since resets and recoveries have not been able to bring anything back on the screen. I'm about to order a new screen, I just wanted to confirm that I'm taking the proper next step.

I was just texting on my phone and all of a sudden the screen went blank, When I tried to turn it back on the apple logo came up for like a minute and then it turned off again, it did this one more time and then wouldn't turn on at all. It was on 80% battery, but it left it on charge over night and when I won't up still nothing?. It didn't go near any water or I didn't drop it or anything. Sometimes when I am making a call or accepting an inbound call, I will try to hit the speakerphone button (because I have a lot of trouble hearing the speakers in regular mode), only to have the screen go blank before I can do so. My iPhone 4 has a blank screen and cannot be powered off using the normal (top) button. Pressing the home button has no effect, and the screen remains black. The phone is charged and can make calls normally using a bluetooth hands free kit in my car. Photos can be downloaded using Image Capture, and music and apps are visible in iTunes. iTunes tells me that the phone can't be restored until Find my iPhone is switched off in iOS iCloud settings - which can't be done as the screen is inaccessible!
