View 15 Replies View RelatedSince the intial update (5.5.893) I have had this problem. When I turn on wifi, it takes about 30 seconds for my phone to connect. This happens whether I am at home, at work, or over a friends house. Here is what happens.I turn on wifi with my widget.? Wifi networks available immediately comes up, then goes away and the question mark over the wifi signal remains (on the left of the status bar).About 90 seconds later, I am connected to wifi.If I go to WiFi settings during this time, It does not list any WiFI networks. Then (after the previously mentioned 90 seconds) the wifi network appears, finds the IP address, and connects

My problem is that the key is 64 characters long. When I enter the key I get an error: 'Pre-shared key must be between 8 and 63 characters long.Does someone have a solution, so I can enter the key?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Curve (6 weeks) and I am having problems with the battery charge. I have already changed it once via Bell Mobility. Here is an example of what I mean. My phone was fully charged at13:00. I turned the wi-fi, the network, and the bluetooth off. I made no calls. We are now 16:30. My battery is at 70%. This does not seem normal. Can someone offer a solution other than Bell Mobility (lousy service) and Blackberry (even lousier service) Is it possible that that the replacement battery given to me by Bell was another dud?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I first put it on, right after I got it from my service providers it died within three hours, which I figured was just because it was the first time it has ever been on. I charged it all night, and the next day took it off the charger at 7am and it died at 1pm. That's a 6 hour lifespan.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8530 on Telus (about 7 months old). It takes anywhere from 5-15 minutes for me to receive an email. My huband (9700 on Telus) has sent me an email and we timed it to take 14 minutes. I have 2 accounts on the BB - a corporate and a hotmail account, and the timing is the same for either. I have done a battery pull, backed up my phone and updated it - nothing works.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi own a bb 9320 and i was wondering how long it takes for the battery to be charged from no battery to full battery with full bars
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm about to switch over to the 8530 and I was just wondering how long you can keep sms/mms texts in your inbox until it becomes "full" and no longer accepts incoming texts (or if that even happens). I had a voyager way before my BBs and I remember when my texts would start getting around 100, it would prompt me with a message saying "Inbox is 80% full. Delete messages..." And I don't know how this works for the bb. And because of the 5.0 threaded sms software, I'll feel prompted to keep the texts longer instead of deleting them every night because it'll be threaded, not messy...
My other question is, (obviously I haven't used my 8530 yet), When you get a text, does that thread move to the top of the inbox or do you have to scroll through and look through all of the people in your inbox to see which one is new? How is the set-up/how does it work.
I was sent an email with a large attachment with it and now I'm unable to access my emails nor send texts?Whenever I try, I'm presented with this error message: -'Uncaught exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception' and an 'OK' button. When I click this, (in the vain hope all will be OK from there on in, it logs out of the app and I'm back to square one! Therefore rendering the phone useless! When I contacted Blackberry support, it states that it has no knowledge of 'Uncaught exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception' ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry Curve 9300 running v5.0.0.846. The Wi-fi is always greyed out for open Wifi connections at airports, hotels, etc. I did manage to get it to turn white once but that was for a WEP-protected connection where I connected manually. Are there some settings that are incorrect? (e.g. the APN username and password is blank in TCP/IP menu).

View 7 Replies View RelatedQuick question: How long is the battery on the curve suppose to last @ moderate use (ie. BBM, some web, few apps running).I unplug my phone around 7am in the morning and by roughly 3:30-4pm the battery has almost died. Now during that time all I'm doing is sending BBM messages (no pictures), minimal SMS messages and the only app I have running is 'Weather Bug'. Is this normal for the curve battery to die so quickly? I've read about other users saying that they can easily get a days worth of use out of their battery and they still have sufficient enough charge.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOkay, so I'm on the move a lot, travelling to and from University each day which can take anywhere between 1-2 hours getting there and getting back. I'm always on my phone during travelling as there isb't much else to do and I like to keep in touch with friends. I use Facebook and the internet a lot on their and I understand this is why my battery runs down so quick. Using it for I'd say 3 or so hours and the battery is done, I usually take my usb cable to uni so I can charge it ready for the journey home. Is there anyway I can get the same usage out of it and not drain the battery so much? I am thinking of getting a new battery first off as I'd say the current one would not be able to achieve good life againt, but is there long lasting batteries I can get?
