Converted ringtone file from mp3 to wma format, downloaded wma file to the ringtones folder using Windows Phone application, the file plays using Windows Media Player on workstation from ringtones folder on phone, file appears under custom in the list, but does not play on the phone when selected.
View 4 RepliesWe have the set of default ringtones from both Windows Phone and Nokia pre installed and those from Insider app. I made many custom ringtones, but none of them has the quality and sound that of preinstalled or Insider ringtones. I tried with Mp3 at 320 bit rate and as well as WMA. What is the best format for the custom ringtone which can match with the pre installed one???? without this info the custom ringtones are waste of time..............

I put two and two together today when I received a call while the phone was plugged into my ps3. unplugged, it rang properly. plugged into my pc--same issue. tried my wife's phone plugged into my computer--same issue. Plug the phone into the RIM charger, the ringer works correctly.

Whatsapp works on 3G and WiFi but not on EDGE/GPRS. I tried reinstalling. I tried deleting account, reinstalling and re-registering. I also tried switching to 2G while it is working on WiFi.I also have updated to latest version but nothing works.It works fine on 3G and WiFi though.

I have purchased several TV shows and movies, all of which play fine on my desktop, laptop, and Microsoft Surface. Some of the video is from the Zune store and one of the videos is from the XBOX store on Windows 8. Regardless of how I purchased the content, I get the following message: "We are unable to confirm the media usage rights for this content."

my Lumia 920 has problems with internet sharing. It will work for a couple of minutes. And then it will not work. It won't work again till I reset the phone. After a reset. It will only work for a couple of minutes. I called att support and they told me I probably have a bad phone and to bring it back. Does anyone else have issues with internet sharing? I tried some stuff I found on the internet to fix this. Downloaded the Spanish language keyboards. To no avail.

View 3 Replies View Related1) the screen doesn't lock anymore; i mean the slide to unlock thing doesn't appear : when i lock the phone the screen just goes black but when it's in my pocket it unlocks itself and start messing around like calling by itself!
2)the central button now only lights the screen; it doesn't go back to the main screen anymore! i have to use the button <-- (back) as many times as i entered in a folder to go back to the main screen..
3)the phone doesn't ring anymore! i can listen to music or whatever but it will just vibrate when someone calls me! also when I try to change the sound level with the side buttons, even if i go max, it will say :Ringer Volume silent ringtone selected
4)the camera crashes as soon as i open it, it's just black as if something was blokcing the camera.. the only option reamaing is to turn off the phone and then reboot!
5)by the way when I press the shut off button usually you have 3 choices : *plane mode *power off *xxxx (i just can't rember what it was)well now i only have one option: power off!
6)Oh btw it has already happened to me a few days ago; after much searching in the internet with no answers i simply did the 'factory data reset' thing and it worked!

I just got my nice new iphone and have found trouble putting custom ringtones on. i can succesfully sync 1 ringtone (yes its 29secs long acc format with .m4r ending). In my itunes ringtone folder i can see the 3 ringtones i have put on there so far yet when i go to settings on my iphone only one shows up, not the multiple copies others have experienced. im using itunes 9.0.3 and have iphone 3gs 16gb version 3.1.2

View 4 Replies View RelatedI set my wife's contact with a custom ringtone. Sometimes when she calls, the phone plays the custom ringtone. Sometimes she calls, and it plays the default ringtone.
I check the settings, and the custom tone is still set correctly. And the ringtone is on the phone, not on the memory card.
Today I noticed that when this happened, the phone started ringing the default tone while her cell number appeared on the screen, before the phone detected it was the contact with her name. Could it be that the phone delayed recognizing her number as being on the contact list, and therefore played the default tone?
how do you set custom ringtone for text messaging. It seem like only the call ringtone are allowed to use custom ringtone but not for text messaging.

But the text message one has me baffled? I select text message >menu setting > messaging settings > select ringtone. But I don't want to have a custom text ringer for those people. Whenever I set a custom ringer for those contacts, it automatically changes the text ringer as well. Is there any way to only give them a custom call-tone and leave all text messages as the same tone?
