How to Change ringtone in Iphone 4S, as of now I am able to change it to default tones in my phone, can we change it to songs saved in Itunes in our phone ? If so, how to change it?
How to change the 'system ringtone'?? I can select it, but the list of ringtones does not pop up. When I go to the sound settings, I have no problem seeing different ringtones - so it can't be that there are none.
Quite annoying that I have a choice between Silent, Default, Current, and Music. I typically prefer a system ringtone.
I bought my Nokia E75 in India and have a problem with changing the ringtone for the device. When I select the Change Ringtone option in Profiles, the only options available are OFF, Download Sounds.
I have updated the software and even CArphone warehouse (authorised Nokia Care point) have reloaded the software and to the latest one.
Just jumped back to Android after a decade of Windows phone (be patient) and I'm trying to change the ringtone for one of my contacts but when I find and edit their contact information the Ringtone ID is grey'd out and I can't edit it. What am I missing?
So I dug all through the settings and found Sound & Notification. When it went in there I found an option for Ringtone ID. What it does other than allows me to set ringtones for Contacts, Favorites or Everyone. When I disabled it I was then able to provide custom ringtones for my contacts.
I know how to change it, but the only tones available to change it to, are the 14 default tones. Is it possible to change this setting to a downloaded tone?
I just got this phone, and the ringtone won't change. I went to 'Sound' 'Phone ringtone' and I select the one I want, and it selects it okay.. but when someone actually calls, it has this annoying voice saying 'Home is calling' or something like that. It's kind of hard to make out what it's saying, so I find it really annoying. I also put my own music on, and they're not coming up on the list of ringtones.
PS. Does this phone take a while to dial out and recieve calls? I tried calling myself and it took about 10-15 secs to actually hear it ringing.
how to change song to ringtone for lumia800 & my bluetooth can't connect to other phone or even my own pc each time i on it, it ask for a pass-code but after i key in the passcode it say not supported?
When I try to change my ringtone nothing changes, I go to settings, select ringtone + sounds, press the ringtone box, select nostalgia it turns blue, check the ringtone box it says nostalgia, ringer on vibrate on, but when I ring my phone the ringtone that plays is the one that came with the phone, it does not change.
I can get all of my ringtones to change (phone, email, mms, etc) but I cannot get my SMS ringtone to change. I'll click the sound icon in the upper left hand corner, go to Set Ring Tones/Alerts>Messages>SMS Text and change the ringtone and then save it, but once I look in my phone book to verify it all of my ringtones are stuck on "Sanguine". The only way I can change my ringtone for my whole phone book is to go through and individually change the ringtone for each person.
A couple of months ago I had downloaded CrunchSMS, which I read on other threads may be the cause of the problem, but I deleted it shortly after downloading it. I have also taken out my battery and media card and done a full reboot.
I have tried to change my notification ringtone on my Sony Ericsson x8 for the 1st time. I have done everything correctly & the settings show that the new ringtone has been saved, however the old ringtone sounds when a text or other notification is received. I keep checking the settings & it shows the newly saved one, but obviously this does come through as that one ....NB I have successfully changed my Phone ringtone, the problem only lies with the Notification one.
I can't find where to change the ringtone saying I have a new voicemail waiting for me. The tone is "shimmer", and no where in the sound profiles can I find it.

Im trying to change my ringtones around on my phone with the eventual goal of making some custom ringtones for certain friends. Before I get ahead of myself with the custom tones, I need to solve a problem: it seems that I am unable to change my ringtone at all!
I previously installed Buzz me from the app store on my phone, and despite having uninstalled buzzme and removing it from 'my world' in the app world, the only ringtone my phone will use is the lame 3 beep tone that came with Buzz me. When I go into profiles to change my ringtone, the same tone plays regardless of which ringer I select. When I made this post I tried notifier_crystal, alarm_electronic, ringer_bbpro, and they all sounded the same
I can't get my incoming message ringtone to change from the default. Have gone through the normal procedure, and it indictes the tone has been changed but it hasn't really..
I have a Nexus 6 running Android Marshmallow, though this was happening with Lollipop too. Randomly, my default ring tone, messenger notification, or gmail notification will change, either to no tone, or just a single repeating beep. When I check the settings, the selected sound ends up being a 5 digit number. For example, my messenger tone is now 53918, no sound plays. Annoyingly for messanger, it will change the notification for all my conversations to 53918. So even if I change the default, all active conversations keep the "number sound."
On my original Droid, I absolutely needed the option to disable ringtone notifications for email (Gmail).I want to do this for the Bionic, but I do not see any Ringtone setting anywhere in the Gmail app.. The closest I can find is this:Gmail -> Menu -> More -> Settings -> (my gmail address). Then there is a checkbox for Email notifications to enable/disable a notification to the Status Bar upon new email arrival. But this appears to be status bar icon notifications only, not a ringtone / sound.
I got a nokia N97 with loads of free memory and space but when I take photos I cannot view them and my music I cant play that anymore, this has only been since friday when I come to change ringtone or wall paper it says system error.
I got this Nokia 500XM phone and when I want to change the ringtone in the profiles it takes ages and just has the scroling bar with opening at the top. I have found a cumbersome work around and that is to take out the memory card but then that just mean I have to stick with the pre-installed ones or copy the selected mp3 file to the phone memory. Is there any way to cut down this wait when I have the memory card inserted? - I wonder if I have added all my mp3 songs to the right folder on the memory card I think I put them in the Music (E: 8gb memory) folder on the memory card I wonder if this is whats causing the problem should they be in another folder? its an 8gb card with 3404mb (3.4gb) and 325 songs or more.
How do I change the ringtone to a short discrete beep, in situations when I don't want a loud ring tone, but don't won't to use only the vibrator either?

This is an unusual situation. I have this ringtone that is a song about a cartoon character. Some kids texted it to me and I saved it in my ringtones folder. Later I tried to text it to a couple family members. On one of the attempts, it didn't attach because I hit the wrong selection (not sure what).Anyway, ever since, the song comes on constantly and plays all the way through. For example, if I receive a text, the normal text alert sound goes off. But afterwards, the song starts to play and I can't stop it until it has played through. If I receive an instant message from someone on Blackberry Messenger, the normal message alert sound goes off, but afterwards the song starts and again plays all the way through. If I make a call, after I hang up the song goes off and plays all the way through. If I send an email, as soon as I hit send button, the song goes off and plays all the way through. Nothing I have tried seems to work.I have checked all my ringtone and contact settings. I have deleted the ringtone/song from my ringtone file and deleted the few messages and emails on phone where I forwarded it to myself or a family member. Putting the phone on silent doesn't seem to work. Once the song starts, I cannot stop it until it plays all 30 seconds. Anyway, I still have the same problem and the song will not quit playing. So, I think you can see my dilemma. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this problem? I thought maybe it had a virus, but no one that I know who has the ringtone has the same problem as me. I did recently install a new update/upgrade of the Blackberry operating system. Do you think it is a problem with the update?
