View 3 RepliesI have tried to change my notification ringtone on my Sony Ericsson x8 for the 1st time. I have done everything correctly & the settings show that the new ringtone has been saved, however the old ringtone sounds when a text or other notification is received. I keep checking the settings & it shows the newly saved one, but obviously this does come through as that one ....NB I have successfully changed my Phone ringtone, the problem only lies with the Notification one.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 6 running Android Marshmallow, though this was happening with Lollipop too. Randomly, my default ring tone, messenger notification, or gmail notification will change, either to no tone, or just a single repeating beep. When I check the settings, the selected sound ends up being a 5 digit number. For example, my messenger tone is now 53918, no sound plays. Annoyingly for messanger, it will change the notification for all my conversations to 53918. So even if I change the default, all active conversations keep the "number sound."

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just picked up the GW620 for my wife (it's our first Android device) and being the tinkerer that I am, looked into the rooting situation for it.I wasn't aware that Android 1.5 was lacking quite a lot of the features of 1.6 and 2.0 but I was hoping there would be an update from Rogers.
I just contacted LG's live chat support and he said that there wouldn't be an update for the GW620 as it's a combination of Android and S-Class.Would it be possible to update to 1.6 via other methods?
I was wondering if anyone had info on this phone.Recently purchased one and can't save apps to memory card. It seems no one knows much about this phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought my Samsung galaxy s6 edge 5 days ago it's been working fine up until today. When I received a text message it didn't make the sound so I thought my phone was on vibrate or silent but it wasn't so then I went to settings and checked my notification setting and when I clicked the sound it didn't make a sound. So then I checked if I could hear the ringtone and I also couldn't hear. Mind you the volume is all the way up. So I decided to restart my phone and the sound worked gain but after a while the sound went away again and idk what is causing it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the last two weeks, something is causing my 4G/LTE Xoom to ring like a phone, but there is no notification and no trace of any app running that would cause such a ringing. I have System Monitor installed, and tried closing/stopping processes one by one, but I could not identify the cause. When I stop ALL applications/processes at once, the ringing stops. In fact, besides rebooting, this is the only way to stop the ringing. I have tried looking at running processes/apps when it occurs, but no app with a ringtone like this is apparent. I know it is a rogue application, but I cannot isolate or identify it Lookout and McAfee both show no issues when Xoom is scanned.

Quite annoying that I have a choice between Silent, Default, Current, and Music. I typically prefer a system ringtone.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is the only phone that i've had that does not allow the option to link the notification and ringtone volume together. it's really inconvenient to use the volume rocker to adjust the volume of the ringtone, only to have to go deep in to settings to adjust the notitication volume as well.At least on my nexus 7, there's a mini setting when you hit the volume rocker that allows you to adjust the playback and notification volumes from your current screen. i hope that gets added to the JB build of this phone, if we cant link.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn GB we used to be able to link our ring tone and notification volume. Doing that allowed me to use Smart Actions to lower the volume of my phone when at work, or make it go completely silent when at school. After upgrading to ICS I no longer have the ability to link the two volumes (see attached photo). How can I link the two volumes again and continue using Smart Actions. (note I want to try and not use third party apps to do something that was an included feature, ex: using another profile management app to disable notification sounds.)

So I dug all through the settings and found Sound & Notification. When it went in there I found an option for Ringtone ID. What it does other than allows me to set ringtones for Contacts, Favorites or Everyone. When I disabled it I was then able to provide custom ringtones for my contacts.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got this phone, and the ringtone won't change. I went to 'Sound' 'Phone ringtone' and I select the one I want, and it selects it okay.. but when someone actually calls, it has this annoying voice saying 'Home is calling' or something like that. It's kind of hard to make out what it's saying, so I find it really annoying. I also put my own music on, and they're not coming up on the list of ringtones.
PS. Does this phone take a while to dial out and recieve calls? I tried calling myself and it took about 10-15 secs to actually hear it ringing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI can get all of my ringtones to change (phone, email, mms, etc) but I cannot get my SMS ringtone to change. I'll click the sound icon in the upper left hand corner, go to Set Ring Tones/Alerts>Messages>SMS Text and change the ringtone and then save it, but once I look in my phone book to verify it all of my ringtones are stuck on "Sanguine". The only way I can change my ringtone for my whole phone book is to go through and individually change the ringtone for each person.
A couple of months ago I had downloaded CrunchSMS, which I read on other threads may be the cause of the problem, but I deleted it shortly after downloading it. I have also taken out my battery and media card and done a full reboot.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid Turbo, and on both KitKat and Lollipop you have to change volume settings separately. I'm always turning down my volume, just to get a full blast text alert that startles me right out of my seat. On previous phones (including other Motorola droids) all notification volume settings were linked and changed as one. Why is that not a thing anymore? How does that not just make the most sense? I know there are apps out there that could do this, but I don't want to have to download another app to simplify something that should be simple in the first place.
