Nokia Lumia :: Can't Get Past Password Screen On 6
Dec 28, 2012
I bought a Nokia Lumia 610 second hand today and saw it working etc. However when I got it home and turned it on it wouldn't let me operate the phone properly. I scrolled up to find it asking for a password. Now the problem is, the person I bought the phone from is not answering his texts, calls or emails and it looks like he has sold me the phone and blocked it. Is there a way around this at all as I really like the phone and want to use it.
I enabled a password on my blackberry 8530 (boost mobile) and after a few minutes it turned off and restarted itself. It loads the bar all the way but then starts over. I have tried a battery pull, and plugged it into my computer both with and without the battery but the DM wont recognize the device. What (if anything) can I do???
I am new to WP7 and Lumia 800. I found that all my calendars (google, livemail, exchange mail) can only show the past 2 weeks appointments in calendar.
e.g. today is 1/1, I can only see the earliest appointment on 18/12 (last 2nd Sunday)
i had a low free phone memory and turned the phone off.I have been trying to put the phone back on but it goes blank after showing the NOKIA start screen (i.e. doesnt get to show the UI).
i have Nokia 1520 just i don't know some how my phone doesn't unlock itself after putting the correct password nothing show and u cant delete.other button like camera or volume or start button or to see notification all work but screen wont unlock.
So now that I have my Lumia 1020 in hand the first thing I wanted to try was seeing if the Pro Cam app would quick launch with a password protected phone. It doesn't. You still have to input your password.
I have four email accounts on my Lumia 900. Two of them, which are Yahoo! accounts, are acting up. All of a sudden, periodically, the email client will ask for the passwords for both accounts (whereas the other two accounts-a work email account and a gmail account) are auto-retrieving emails just fine. What could have made my Yahoo! accounts act this way where it is asking for my password? The passwords are saved in the settings. Could it be my smpt and pop setting address?
I have a LG Lotus from bell mobility, and when I start it up I can not get it to go past the white LG screen. It is out of warranty so I would have to pay to have it reset. Is there any way I can reset it or fix this problem myself?
i have a problem with the WiFi setting.Everytime i try to connect to my home's wifi, the phone says that the password is incorrect. The password is correct, but what can i do?
Lumia 710 Phone does not support alphanumeric password for screen lock, and so I am unable to sync with corporate exchange server as company's outlook exchange server policy for our company requires alphanumeric password.
I need help please! My curve won't load past the white loading blackberry screen. I downloaded an app from the app store and it crashed my phone. I called my carriers tech support but they are backed up and it might be a days before they can get back to me.
I Have A Rooted VS985 And A Couple Of Days Ago, I Turned It Off, Forgot Why, Then Back On And It Wouldn't Go Past The Verizon Logo. I Tried Factory Reseting It, Booting Into Safe Mode, And Trying To Go Into USB Debugging Mode But It Always Goes Through The Verizon Logo And Just Stays There. The Logo Isnt Frozen, I Still See The Shimmer Animation On The Check And The LED Still Rotates Colors From Green To Blue And Off.
My Verizon HTC M8 (Android Version) won't boot up past the HTC logo, I have tried holding power, power+volume down, and have done the power+volume up gone to recovery and wiped cache plus wiped the phone and still nothing. The phone is not rooted and it's also S-On so I'm not sure if there's a way of flashing the stock android from Verizon back onto it especially without the ability to plug it into a computer ( doesn't do much good without USB Debugging I believe)...
Samsung Galaxy s5 froze today and will not get past startup screen. Reading differs posts I tried to reset but still will not go to android screen . Ha blue writing in top left stating recovery booting but then nothing?
I forgot my password on my phone yesterday, so today, after reading many articles and trying to find out how to get around it, I decided to reset my Samsung s5 to factory settings. In the middle of the setting up process, I was redirected to a separate page asking me to log in to the previous account I had before I abnormally reset the phone. Since I never made one, I am now stuck on that screen. Is there a way for me to bypass it or reset my phone so that I do not have to go through the Samsung account log in?
This is my first Blackberry. It's a Curve 9320. I switched it on, and it comes up with Device Language Selection Screen with English (US) and a down arrow, and an OK box. Nothing I've tried gets me past this screen. I would prefer UK English, but either English would do if I could use the phone! The paperwork that came with the phone seems to assume you know how to use it. Searching the Blackberry site hasn't come up with anything useful.
I dropped my phone I've had for the past 2 years for the last time. I need to access my contacts but I guess when it hit the ground the face buttons got disconnected so I can't do anything at all. I'm due to get my new phone this tuesday and I have a couple hundred contacts, most are important. What should I do? I've tried syncing it and backing it up but that's only for the media card. I can't access the device memory to get into the contacts. I also have like a bajillion texts left unchecked.
I used odin to return to original firmware, and it passes but won't go past title screen. The battery won't even charge. Is everything deleted? Can att tell it was rooted?
I purchased the Motorola Spice xt531(called motorola Fire in the USA) yesterday and can't get past the screen that has the bar showing the padlock(it's unlocked), the other side of the screen shows a speaker. I am a USA resident living in MX so I don't speak much spanish.
Is it possible to lock a Lumia so it requires a password using some kind of a command?
I've set the password counter to 30 minutes as I don't want to enter the password every time I need to use my phone. However, sometimes I'd like to password-lock the phone immediately (like today when I would have liked to leave it on a table in a client's office during lunch break). I haven't been able to find such a functionality. Am I correct it does not exist?
my wife and I both have an AT&T Lumia 920. We both setup Kids Corner and are both experiencing the exact same behavior as what users are complaining about here: [URL]
To summarize, Kids Corner requires our PIN to get access to it, if enough time has passed for the PIN timeout to come into effect. This was completely unexpected for us both. We feel like it is a bug & not the proper behavior of this feature based on the way it was marketed. It seems to us to somewhat defeat the purpose, or at least be more cumbersome to use with the current behavior.
I am seeking an official response from Microsoft or Nokia, as to whether the behavior we are expecting is indeed the intended behavior. If so, we are certainly interested in a feature enhancement that would give the user an extra option in the Kids Corner settings to disable the requirement for a PIN at any time (regardless of the normal PIN timeout setting).
My admittedly very old Blackberry Bold 9000 has turned itself off and won't turn on past the white loading screen. It has a constant red light on with a black screen. The red light will disappear and the screen will go white and show the black timer box thingy for a minute or so like it is about to load then the process will repeat. It's been doing this since last night. I've finally admitted its time to upgrade and have ordered a new handset but would like to boot this up even if it is only to transfer current information.
Earlier today after I woke up, I was just gonna check something on my phone, when I was met with several errors saying that this and that programmed had stopped working. I chose the option "ok" on all of them because the other option report would not really get me anywhere. The thing was these errors kept coming repeating themselves (same apps getting errors repeatedly).
So after 10 min of just pressing ok on these errors I decided to reboot my phone, but when I came to the startup it stops/freezes on the SONY EXPERIA display. I can't trun it off with the on/off button, so I searched everywhere on the internet about this issue but none of the classic hold volume down + volume up + on/off button to turn it off gets me past the freeze after it goes off.
