i had a low free phone memory and turned the phone off.I have been trying to put the phone back on but it goes blank after showing the NOKIA start screen (i.e. doesnt get to show the UI).

I bought a Nokia Lumia 610 second hand today and saw it working etc. However when I got it home and turned it on it wouldn't let me operate the phone properly. I scrolled up to find it asking for a password. Now the problem is, the person I bought the phone from is not answering his texts, calls or emails and it looks like he has sold me the phone and blocked it. Is there a way around this at all as I really like the phone and want to use it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Nokia too and I got an 2760 (I know not the latest model) as gift. Since the battery from my old phone is almost ruined, I'm using it. What baffles me - in the manual I can't find how to change the start-up screen (Nokia) or better, how to block it. This was possible with my old one, but with this one?
To make matters even more complex.it used to be a T-Mobile model (I'm no T-Mobile subscriber) and the menu differs even from the (very short) manual.
I've got a X6 since a month or so and I always left the start screen settings in place. Recently, the shortcuts on that screen have gone. Only the phone and menu buttons at the bottom are visible. I've tried setting the Theme to no avail.
I've also tried a hard reset (soft wouldn't do it), and that works fine. But when I restore my phone, the same problem persists. Even when I do not restore the phone settings, but only contact, messages, etc, the shortcuts on the start screen are gone again.It feels like there's some corrupt data in the backup. Anyone got another tip?
As the title says. The date on the start screen is stuck and doesn't change. Now it's tuesday, but it still says it's monday on the phone. The clock is ok. Also the calendar is ok (events and everything).This happened 3 times in the last month or so. I have a few programs running. The one I'm suspecting the most now is X-Plore (trial version). It's the only extra program that I'm running from a few days before when this bug didn't happen. But I'm not sure, since this is an old bug that happened quite some time before and I don't remember if X-Plore was running then. Also, when I'm entering some numbers on the start screen there is the correct date, but when I clear those numbers it shows the wrong date again. I don't know exactly what fixes it, a restart for sure, but also some other actions I think.

Can call out,can receive calls, but, can't view screen. Removed battery, for whole night, put back in. Sim card is fine...still...blank screen.

In the middle of the setting up process, I was redirected to a separate page asking me to log in to the previous account I had before I abnormally reset the phone. Anyone have any idea why my nuron 5230's camera wont start up? it just gives me a blank black screen and when i try to switch it to video mode it tells me "memory is full switch memory?" then i click yes but it just crashes and brings me back to the home screen. anyone have any idea whats wrong? or any fixes? i already tried to take the battery off, restore to factory settings, and that reset [press and hold green, red, camera, and power button till phone boots up] but its still like this.

But I can't see any maps... It did work a few days ago but now it stopped working out of the blue. I updated the maps but the problem was still there. Then I deleted the cities folder and then I tried the new Beta version of the maps. Problem is still there... The nokia server is also correctly defined.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is my first Blackberry. It's a Curve 9320. I switched it on, and it comes up with Device Language Selection Screen with English (US) and a down arrow, and an OK box. Nothing I've tried gets me past this screen. I would prefer UK English, but either English would do if I could use the phone! The paperwork that came with the phone seems to assume you know how to use it. Searching the Blackberry site hasn't come up with anything useful.

I need to access my contacts but I guess when it hit the ground the face buttons got disconnected so I can't do anything at all. I'm due to get my new phone this tuesday and I have a couple hundred contacts, most are important. What should I do? I've tried syncing it and backing it up but that's only for the media card. I can't access the device memory to get into the contacts. I also have like a bajillion texts left unchecked.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy admittedly very old Blackberry Bold 9000 has turned itself off and won't turn on past the white loading screen. It has a constant red light on with a black screen. The red light will disappear and the screen will go white and show the black timer box thingy for a minute or so like it is about to load then the process will repeat. It's been doing this since last night. I've finally admitted its time to upgrade and have ordered a new handset but would like to boot this up even if it is only to transfer current information.
