If I try to power down my Lumia 900 while connected to my pc usb, it shuts down, the battery charging image comes up briefly ,then the device powers back up.I use the pc to charge, but don't need the phone on, right now. Is there something that needs to be changed?
View 5 RepliesI purchased a Lumia 920 on Friday 11/9/2012 from at&t and on Monday 11/12/2012 it died and will not power-up. I returned to the at&t store but they don't have any replacements in stock. They tried to find one in any of their stores in the Bay Area (San Francisco). My question is: when should we expect to have new shipments of the Lumia 920.
View 19 Replies View Relatedhad my phone for 3 days now, i noticed that charging it was kinda annoying from a dead phone, last night it died and i was going to do a full charge cycle, i put it on change before i went to bed, it vibrated to say its connect and i left it, woke up this morning unplugged and it wouldnt turn on so i left it a couple of minutes and tryed again still nothing, i tried plugging it to my computer and it came up saying i need some drivers and need to format the phone i ignored it, the battery symbol came up then the vodafone screen left it for a while then tried turning it on again and nothing just black, not vibes or nothing, now i dont even get a vibe when i plug it into my my computer or power source....

The Nokia Lumia 900 got BRICKED within a week of getting it....Here is what happened, last night I could not get my phone recharged on time and as I was doing something the phone suddenly froze and died as it had ran out of juice. I left it there in that state for awhile and then plugged into wall...first the bottom three buttons lit up, a white screen, then a big battery showed up with with a bit of red charge, then a nokia page and then finally an att page with the words "rethink possible".....and it shuts off and starts this loop.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my Lumia 820 a few days back, and after having a few set-up quirks, things seem to be going quite well.I can only see one problem left, and that's as the When I connect the phone up to the PC (running Windows XP SP3), and having Nokia Suite 3.6.36 running, it comes up telling me that the phone is 'connected in a non-compatible USB mode', preventing me from doing anything in Nokia Suite.

I have a very peculiar issue with my 920. The phone sometimes does not lock when I press the power button. That time, it does not even get locked automatically. I always reboot when it does that; was even about to return the fone coz of this but no device is perfect.

I try not to let battery go totally dead before putting on the charger.. what caused the battery to suddenly lose all the power it had in a couple of hours... I can't afford this battery to do this when traveling.. I need the phone.. and where I am .. I have no idea how to get a battery changed in this phone... since I cannot buy a new battery and install myself.. Don't know why Nokia made a phone that the consumer cannot change the battery in it by himself... this is not good... I can't have the battery reaching 50% power and then suddenly have it go dead in short time... I had hard time getting it to respond to the electricity charger this morning when I plugged it in... I'm very use to use the always on display clock to check time and missed calls/messages. I found this very useful during night etc. It's not necessary to always unlock the phone... I know WP7.5 missed this feature but what about Lumia WP8? If this has still not been implemented, it's very step backwards for Nokia. I thing lot of customers are used to this function...

When I disconnect charger then it works like anything. I had also noted that some times, the wallpaper keeps jumping and suddenly slides upside and random applications gets started. But again when I remove the charger then it works normally. Is there any issue regarding the USB connector?

I have a problem with my iPhone 3 GS. I have bought it two years ago. Since december 2011 a have a problem with it. Whenever it is stressed (loading websites, opening an app, searching network, sending an imessage,...) it simply turns off. I am not able to turn it on without connect it to power source. The display is black and if I try it to turn on there is the apple but then it turns black again. After a few failed attempt there is the simbol of no battery again (before turning off there was enough). Then, after connectet it, it turns on and behold there is enough battery again, for example 60%.

My new Lumia 1020 was connected to wifi when I began setting it up. I got a data usage warning message the next day, so I made sure it was still connected to wifi - then I got another warning message advising me more charges were being applied to the data plan. I called ATT and explained and was told that the 4GLTE runs all kinds of stuff in the background that uses data and to turn the data off. I did - since then, no more data usage - however - it will not stay connected to wifi after a time out unless it is plugged in. It still shows that its connected to wifi but its not.

Everything is fine except that when I have the device locked (via the new, inconveniently placed lock button) and plug in a power cable the phone unlocks. How do I disable this? Maybe I am the only one who is annoyed by this but what is the point of a button that locks the phone until you unlock it if other things can unlock it. It wouldn't be a problem if not for the touchscreen which I always seem to be pressing at the time I plug it in.

Then i came back up to check instagram again and it wouldnt turn on. This had happened before but it came back on after like 1 hour but i really need my phone. Sometimes when I need to reboot/reset my i760 (Winmob 6.1, Spb Shell) it will not finish the boot cycle. I turn it on, I get the Samsung logo, the dark blue static Verizon wireless screen, then it about a half a second into the next screen (where the Verizon wireless logo "floats" down to a light blue screen) the system powers off. You can just see the red check in the logo start to draw and head down and the system just goes off.I thought I had solved it by pulling the battery for about 30 seconds, but now that doesn't fix the problem anymore. The only way to make the phone power on is to connect it to a power source (charger or cradle). Then it powers on normally.It does not matter the charge on the battery at the moment - I've had it do it any charge level, including 100% just off a overnight charge. This battery will normally last me 2 days of hard use.Any ideas?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSInce the latest update 12070, if my phone is plugged into the mains charging when the power / wake up button is pressed, the touch screen is notally non responsive, and you cannot use the phone. If however, you reove the mains lead BEFORE pressing the power/wakeup button, everything works fine.Rolled back to previous update, everything worked fine - mains power or not, put the update back on, and the problem returned!

I know I can shut it down and then wait some amount of time and then restart it, but is there a way to just restart it without the shutdown-wait-power-on dance?
The current process is made more annoying because I don't know exactly when the 950XL has completely shutdown and thus I don't know when to hit the power button.
Use double tap to wake up phone (enable in settings, touch menu) and install Touch and Lock and pin to your start screen to tap and auto lock. I pin mine on the right hand side right near where the power button is located. Easy to tap quickly. Touch and Lock | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States).There are other touch lock apps but some have a pause or splash screen before locking. Touch and Lock is instantaneous.
