Nokia :: OVI Suite - Cant See Maps - Computer Not Connected To Internet
May 19, 2010I have downloaded and installed the latest Nokia OVI Suite. My phone (E72 - 1, ver 031.023) connects perfectly etc. My problem is that I want to install the latest ovi maps for my phone. Now, according to OVI Suite, my phone has "ALL" maps on it. But I cant see them (when accessing GPS)
Secondly, OVI Suite tells me: your computer is not connected to then internet, when I clearly am. Are there any settings I need to adjust so that the program "Sees" my connection? I cannot connect thorugh my device, as it always tells me: Unable to establish network connection. Please check that your settings are correct etc..." what settings? where do I adjust these?

When I disconnect charger then it works like anything. I had also noted that some times, the wallpaper keeps jumping and suddenly slides upside and random applications gets started. But again when I remove the charger then it works normally. Is there any issue regarding the USB connector?

Jul 27, 2014My new Lumia 1020 was connected to wifi when I began setting it up. I got a data usage warning message the next day, so I made sure it was still connected to wifi - then I got another warning message advising me more charges were being applied to the data plan. I called ATT and explained and was told that the 4GLTE runs all kinds of stuff in the background that uses data and to turn the data off. I did - since then, no more data usage - however - it will not stay connected to wifi after a time out unless it is plugged in. It still shows that its connected to wifi but its not.

There is no indication on the computer that a device has been connected (I checked Device Manager and it's nowhere to be found, not even under hidden items). When I plug it into my computer, it's the same as plugging it into a wall outlet. I've read tons of solutions online and tried them all. It makes me think that something has gone wrong with my phone. The issue isn't my computer's USB ports or even the USBs I've tried. It sounds like an issue with my phone. When I first purchased the phone, it was able to sync to the computer and I could transfer pictures from it.

Aug 8, 2012I just got my new phone (Lumia 900) today and so far I love it! I transferred my music via Zune but when my old phone an N900 died I copied my contacts list onto my laptop. I have a folder of vCard files which I want to put on my new phone. I have connected via the USB cord but the phone doesn't appear on the list of drives etc. in windows explorer. For some reason it appears in devices and drivers, but I can't drag an drop into it. What I need is a similar thing to the sync option in Zune. To be clear this is my list of phone contact numbers only, not email etc.

In the past, when I connected my phone to my computer, I was able to see every picture Zoe had created. While this was a little messy it was great if I wanted to ensure I had at least one good picture; all I had to do was press Zoe and then look through the pictures it created.
However it's stopped doing that; now, when I connect to my computer I only get the 3 second video and the first frame.
