I bought my Lumia 820 a few days back, and after having a few set-up quirks, things seem to be going quite well.I can only see one problem left, and that's as the When I connect the phone up to the PC (running Windows XP SP3), and having Nokia Suite 3.6.36 running, it comes up telling me that the phone is 'connected in a non-compatible USB mode', preventing me from doing anything in Nokia Suite.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI did not have any problems using earpod with HTC Titan 1.At Microsoft's BUILD conference, Nokia gave us their 920 (great phone, btw), but it does look like 920 is compatible with EarPod:
1. Mic does not work. 920 does not recognise voice commands when earpod is plugged in
2. When I try to call anybody while earpod is plugged inm, i hear high pitched noise in the headset. I dont hear that noise when i play music, though.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my Lumia 610 with charger, Its touch screen gets stuck. It does not allow me to unlock the phone by sliding the wallpaper upside. When I disconnect charger then it works like anything. I had also noted that some times, the wallpaper keeps jumping and suddenly slides upside and random applications gets started. But again when I remove the charger then it works normally. Is there any issue regarding the USB connector?

I got a data usage warning message the next day, so I made sure it was still connected to wifi - then I got another warning message advising me more charges were being applied to the data plan. I called ATT and explained and was told that the 4GLTE runs all kinds of stuff in the background that uses data and to turn the data off. I did - since then, no more data usage - however - it will not stay connected to wifi after a time out unless it is plugged in. It still shows that its connected to wifi but its not.

View 19 Replies View RelatedI know that with my old Windows Phone 7, the menu was broken down in sections by the starting letter of the app (So it would say "A" and beneath it were all the A apps.) Currently, my menu list is just a list--no letter headings, so you can't push on say, S, and zip down to the S apps. (Kind of how you find people on the Facebook app.)I am not articulating this well, but do you know if there is a way to jump to a particular letter in the 920? Right now, I just have a long list of apps, which is time consuming.

ever since I bought my Samsung Galaxy S II 4 months ago If I connected my laptop the phone would enter 'PC mode' or would say 'PC mode only available when idle' and I would have to close whatever was running at the time, this worked fine for connecting to Kies and syncing my contacts, calendar and updating the firmware etc. For the past week whenever I connect it to a laptop (tried 2) the phone only chargers via USB so I can't get it to work with Samsung Kies. I have tried enabling/disabling USB debugging in the options to no affect. I tried a factory reset assuming that would sort it out and it just the same! how annoying.

I'm limited to a few models only, mostly directly from them.Does anybody know what the chances are that this will change in the future? That Nokia will have more models with compatible bands? WP8 only shows the number of devices connected and not the names..
(Reason I ask is that I had shared my tethering password with a bunch of guys at work but can't tell who is connected)

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen the N900 came out in the UK I bought it on the same day! But I'm disappointed with the fact that the N900 is still not compatible with Ovi player. This is even so after the recent firmware update! Overall it seems that the N900 was rushed into the market. Sadly, some of the reviews claiming that the N900 would be known as the "iphone eater" was very wrong! I did manage to copy music to my N900 in mass storage mode but it wasn't a very smooth experience.Come on Nokia get your act together and give the music lovers out there something to cheer about by getting the basic's right! BTW if I have the fact's wrong re compatibility with Nokia Ovi Player please let me know?
