when you connect the X2 to your computer, that it looks like it has two drives? This might to relate to my question/post about how in Quick Office I see only two folder options (dcim and LOST.dir) that happen to be on one drive, and then everything else seems to be stored on the other drive. I know the X2 has two processors, but that does not mean it has two "drives".

Yet the phone shows most memory free, while the USB card is almost full (I transferred my files to a 16 GB card and added music). I have bought a usb-to-microusb adaptor wihout any luck at all. I mean the adapters seem the right ones, although they are not the otg type. It is just a standard female-usb-to-male-micro-usb adaptor.I`d like to be able to defenitely replace my laptop with my xoom for obvious reasons.Since i already own 3 usb hard drives (usb-powered, no power cordf). Each one a 500 GB unit.Since the xoom comes equipped with a micro-usb input, it seems that a sensible use for it would be any usb external drive, like the WD Passport series or even a std usb flash card?

I've read conflicting reports on whether the Xoom 2 can support usb host with the ability to mount, read and write usb drives out of the box using an adaptor cable or not. I was hoping for a definitive answer.Rooting etc. is not really a solution for him.

I have an OTG cable and android 3.1. can anyone help me I would really like the usb drives working that is all I need. I tried a google search and they all say it must be rooted, is that true? I do not want a rooted device if at all possible. am I missing something in the settings or can I download something I am sure there is someone out there who has it working.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I initially received my Droid 3, 2 weeks ago, I had no problem with either my PC or laptop recognizing the phone when connected via USB. I was given the options in the notification bar for USB Mass storage, charging only, etc. Went to transfer some files 2 days ago, hooked up the USB cord and neither computer would recognize the phone, tho the phone was charging off of the usb cable from the computer. I have reinstalled the drivers on both computers, tried it on my work computer and nothing. Could an APP inhibit my phone from connecting to the computer? I have uninstalled my Task Killer and some other Apps that I think could be inhibiting this. IS there a way to force the phone to turn on USB? I couldn't find anything in settings.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI drove here today and since arriving can't stay connected to 3 or 4G. Turned off 4G to try that still won't stay connected. Tried airplane mode, restart connections, power cycle and battery pull. Luckily I found wifi so at least I have that.

View 11 Replies View RelatedJust picked up my RAZR. Only issue so far is the WiFi. The phone will connect to my home network but any attempt to use the browser gives a connection error. Same issue with any application that requires a data connection. My laptop connects with no issue and my Droid X connects with no problem.

My Bionic connects well on the 2.4 GHz band but does not appear to be able to connect on the 5GHz band. Is the Bionic capable of dual band connectivity? My Xoom 4G tablet connects well at 5GHz and shows the 2.4 GHz band as also available. Specs show the Bionic capable of b/g/n connectivity but does not specify bands.

I turned off both devices and I turned on again, I paired again both phones but the problem persists: Razr sends files but doesn't receive them.No problem with my bluetooth headset.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I got my RAZR about a week ago and it's great with the exception of WIFI. I can get it connected to my WIFI networks both at home and at work, but once they're connected, there's no data at all. I have tried disabling cellular data both manually and with a Smart Action once it's connected to WIFI and that doesn't help. I know it's not the network settings, as it's happening on multiple networks. The network at work is open, the one at home is normally WPA2-PSK but I tried changing the router to an open network and that didn't change anything either. My wife got a RAZR too and her phone has EXACTLY the same problem. Any ideas? I would *really* prefer to use WIFI data at home and at work instead of eating up my 4G/3G plan.

If I open my movies folder its blank, no avi files. The kicker is if I copy and past the .avi files on the phone then past them to another folder, ie the books folder, it shoes the .avi files when I look for them while connected tovm PC.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am wondering if anyone else has problems keeping wireless connected to WatchGuard firewalls since the ICS update. I have an XTM 23-W and an XTM 26-W both running the latest WatchGuard firmware, version 11.6.1. I have a DROID 4 that was recently updated to ICS.Ever since then, I cannot get it to stay connected to either XTM firewall on any access point (each device has 3 available APs). It will connect, authenticate, get an IP address, and work fine for 30-45 seconds, then disconnect, reconnect, and go through the whole process over and over again.The phone works fine at Starbucks (open networks), and it works at two different locations with two different Netgear wireless routers both using WPA2-PSK with AES, the same as the WatchGuard units.I have tried using 802.11 ngb, just gb, and b by itself. When using ngb, it does it about every 30-45 seconds, with gb it makes it as much as 90 seconds, and b only does it even more frequently. With an open network, it does it every 30 seconds or so.Changing channels from Auto (it was on 11) to 2 or 9 made no difference.Changing from WPA2-PSK and AES to an open network made no difference.Having only one AP active (they have 3), regardless of which one, made no difference.On my Netgear WNR3500L at home using WPA2-PSK with AES (the same as the WatchGuard units), it works fine.I cannot figure out why this phone will not stay connected.

But then when I tried to send again, it didn't went through.The error says "Connection failure". When I checked the bluetooth settings the the laptop is paired but not connected.I tried to unpair and then paired again but still it won't connect.I turned the bluetooth on and off and still not connected.I even restarted both my laptop and my phone and still not connecting.
