Oct 26, 2014My 4 month old Xperia Z2 has always worked fine until today. It was connected to my Mac computer, and I was asked to update Sony bridge for MAC. After about 10 mins it said Update Failed on the computer. I disconnected the phone, but now the phone wont turn on - all I get is an error message saying "Software update failed, make sure that your phone is connected to the computer and try again"
However when I connect it, the device isnt recognised.
I cant switch the phone off or on, all thats happening is a continuous loop of red light and then the error message (it's on charge at the moment)....

It is also not being recognized when I plug it into the USB port in my car, so it is something with the phone, not my PC. I have the latest iOS on the phone and everything was working fine until today.

May 7, 2012believe the source of the problem to be a faulty install of ICS plus a later rooting, as the phone would intermittently go from Android Phone to Unable to Recognize USB Device, to just not being able to recognize the phone. I've uninstalled KIES along with the drivers and installed them back again to no avail. Is it possible to flash the phone with a working Android version without using the computer - through the SD card?

Its been syncing fine with my XP pc and itunes is fine up to last night, my son had his iphone and connected it to my profile but it didnt sync as you would expect, however now the problem is no apple product will connect correctly to the pc on any profile?We have 2 i phone 4s and 2 ipods 4th gen they all now connect as image devices and itunes doesn't recognise them I think its something to do with the PC seeing the iphone / ipod but im not sure, I have reinstalled itunes and everything else is up to date. but I'm baffled now?

I've cleaned out the charging area with a toothpick that I discovered on another board, i tried plugging it back in, it acts like it is going to "connect" but it will not charge, I get the little indicator that looks like a plugin but I still do not get any charge, i have tried two different chargers and nothing is working.

I already checked the hardware and don't even see Apple Device anywhere on the drop down menus. When I run diagnostics itunes says no usb ports found when I have 4. I have already tried switching ports, resetting. I know its not the cord because the cord still works with my wall adapter.

Nov 19, 2012I used my Blackberry 9900 ( Carrier : o2 UK, OPerating system: OS 7.1) to make a call and noticed it was running out of battery. I then placed it on my table only to return to find it dead. I have tried everything from connecting the phone to 4 different computers, with and without the battery, I have also used about 3 or 4 other batteries and it still wont come on or show any sign of life. The worst part is whilst researching the issue online, I noticed other people mention a light or a sign comes up but with mine there has been no light, no sign, just DEAD! I tried the App Loader method but no PC recognises the phone when connected. The phone was never dropped or wet or ever misplaced or mishandle. I have had it for just over a year and this is puzzling.

Apr 23, 2012I had the problem of iTunes not recognising the iPhone on MOST occasions when I start it. Sometimes it would sometimes it wouldn't. This has been going on for 4 months. After running through all the tips on the web, from apple and everyone else i finally discovered I was low on Disk Space (I tried to copy the iTunes backup files to another location to protect them and they wouldn't fit). So I cleaned out my hard disk and everything worked.

Aug 28, 2010I have an 8530 with 1.5 free space that won't be recognized by my Windows Professional 7 600 G OS. I have uninstalled BB OS, re-installed it, and re-booted my computer several times, The driver won't be recognized by the computer. I've tried updating the driver, but it won't take. "Software for MTP USB device cannot start." On the device driver, the BB phone and USB composite device are working properly, but the "RIM MS/MTP won't start." So the whole device isn't recognized as a device on the system.

The driver won't show up in the computer, but the BB phone says, "File version 6.1.7600.16385. Win 7_rtm.090713-1255.Fortunately, I can sync my organizer data, but I can't transfer pictures or music.

Jul 7, 2012Just got a brand new BB9360 as part of a product exchange plan. My old BB's track ball had worn out. Anyway, after 4 trips back and forth from the store I bought it from to work out OTHER problems (bad battery as it turned out) I finally have a phone that I know will work (saw them charge it in the store, from a computer).Now, I know for a fact that my USB cable and ports will support a BB device for charging and syncing with a computer. Both were working just fine on my old BB device which I had until last week. The USB ports in my desktop are all new, and my laptop is less than a year old, all its ports are fine. So far, I've been able to rule out virtually all of the possible issues that the device suggests. I have done a reset by pulling the battery. I have attempted to charge it via a wall outlet with a USB to AC adapter. Nothing at all happens. I plugged it into the computer, and it told me that it cannot charge the device and it recommended I install the Desktop Manager. Well, it was already on the computer. I installed the USB drivers on their own, I've tried all my ports on both computers.
