IPhone 5s :: Will Not Charge Or Sync To Computer / Not Recognized To Usb

My Iphone 5s will not charge or sync when connected to my USB port on my laptop. I have an HP Envy17 jt-100 running on windows 8.1. I already checked the hardware and don't even see Apple Device anywhere on the drop down menus. When I run diagnostics itunes says no usb ports found when I have 4. I have already tried switching ports, resetting. I know its not the cord because the cord still works with my wall adapter.

it will not charge. I've been scouring the internet for the last few hours and have been trying to figure it out. I've cleaned out the charging area with a toothpick that I discovered on another board, i tried plugging it back in, it acts like it is going to "connect" but it will not charge, I get the little indicator that looks like a plugin but I still do not get any charge, i have tried two different chargers and nothing is working.

My iphone 4 has always been recognized by my computer and allowed me to sync. Now it only recognizes it as a camera and shows all my pics.

Was working fine up until last week (I've had it for 1 year). This is an Apple USB cord. It doesn't charge or sync through any USB port (not hubs - direct to the computer tower). It will charge plugged into the wall. I've cleaned out the charge port on the phone and no difference.

I tried two different USB cables in several different USB ports on both the PCs. Neither computer recognizes it nor charges the phone. But when i plug the iPhone into a wall socket using either USB cable, it will charge.The iPhone was previously recognized by both computers.

My iPhone 4 suddently won't charge anymore nor get recognized by iTunes it's a hardware issue but not sure which part.
Sympthoms:
iPhone 4 not charging via USB connected to Windows PC, Macbook Pro iPhone 4 not charging via wall charger iPhone 4 not being recognized by iTunes in all my computers (tried in 2 Windows PCs, a Macbook Pro) iPhone 4 not being even recognized as some device, It's like it never was connected.
At this moment I have no remaning battery charge so the phone can't be turned on. Before battery was drained, I tried to reset my phone, turn it off/on again, remore all settings (through the phone, because I can't do it through iTunes)
None of this worked. So, I guess it has something to do with the iPhone dock connector..

My iPhone 4 suddenly stopped charging via ANY charge medium, connected directly to USB port with adapter, via an iHome-like stereo, nor will it work in a wall charger. Also, neither a Mac (10.7) nor will a Win 7 computer with updated iTunes recognize it. Every time I connect it I get a message "USB device not recognized and has malfunctioned..." I have already changed the battery out (it was already out of warranty) still not charging or being recognized.

Setting up my new iphone i also connected it to my computer (w7). while synching the computer shut down due to emtpy battery. Problem: now my computer does not recognise the iphone anymore nor does itunes. Yet it still recognises my ipad.

My iPhone 4 is not being recognized as a USB device by my computer, therefore I can't synch to iTunes. It is also not being recognized when I plug it into the USB port in my car, so it is something with the phone, not my PC. I have the latest iOS on the phone and everything was working fine until today.

iphone 3g doesnt get recognized by my computer i have the upto date itunes an everytime i plug it in with the usb it comes up as "unknown Device" with a message saying that is has malfunctioned when i look into it further it says i need a driver so i try to get an update for the driver it says the software i already have shuld work but it doesnt so i read some where an i done a master reset to my iphone an now nothing its been nearly 3 hours an all that comes up is the white apple logo ive had a look at other suggestions to try fix it but hav come up with nothing it still switches on an off an the usb doesnt pick up the iphone at all an i dont get the message to say it doesnt recognize the device i dont get anything its just the apple logo i tryd pluging in my ipod to the itunes an got a responce

I have a factory unlocked iphone 4s. recently my iphone will not sync to my itunes. The problem started recently when i downloaded/installed the new update, but while it installed, i think there was an error. i had a iphone 4 locked (US) bought purchased a new one since ive been traveling here in asia. another weird thing,I thought i lost some of my old videos, but now these videos are on my phone. anyhow, im very scared that ill lose that content/along with all the other content, although everything should be saved. I have a macbook pro 17" 10.6.8. is there anything i should try before reseting my iphone? also, i have a korean sim and im really bad with phones in general. If i reset/reformat it, i assume i have to enter in some of my phone carriers info to connect right? id like to avoid this at all cost. I just really want my iphone to sync. ever since unpacking, my laptop wont recognize my new iphone 5S 64GB. I tried reinstall several times of itunes and assorted apple services and drivers, restarts of win7 64 bit ultimate and iphone too, no luck. I tried different ports for USB (without other things attached), different sides, different cables - nothing.Â
All other ipads and iphones we have connect perfectly and are recognized in itunes. I even had a home 64bit version of win7 on same laptop, and it is recognized there, but I cant do anything with that version since its damaged. I tried all apple support steps in several documents. I even tried parallel connected iphones to see how the new one behaves in terms of charging (charging also doesnt work) and I got this:Â
1. both iphones start charging on laptop restart.Â
2. both stop charging in middle of windows loading.Â
3. When windows are loaded, old iphone normaly recharges and is seen in itunes, new one not. New one from the box NEVER had option to trust computer.Â
I hear a pluging and unpluggin sound when I connect my usb or lightning connector for that new iphone. but nothing further. I tried stopping and restarting services etc...Looks to me like my iphone remembers my laptop AND win instalation and doesnt want to connect to them.Â

I have an 8530 with 1.5 free space that won't be recognized by my Windows Professional 7 600 G OS. I have uninstalled BB OS, re-installed it, and re-booted my computer several times, The driver won't be recognized by the computer. I've tried updating the driver, but it won't take. "Software for MTP USB device cannot start." On the device driver, the BB phone and USB composite device are working properly, but the "RIM MS/MTP won't start." So the whole device isn't recognized as a device on the system.
Under driver files for the device:
C:windowssystem 32DriveswpdMtpDr.dll
C:windowssystem32Driveswinusb.sys

The driver won't show up in the computer, but the BB phone says, "File version 6.1.7600.16385. Win 7_rtm.090713-1255.Fortunately, I can sync my organizer data, but I can't transfer pictures or music.

Just got a brand new BB9360 as part of a product exchange plan. My old BB's track ball had worn out. Anyway, after 4 trips back and forth from the store I bought it from to work out OTHER problems (bad battery as it turned out) I finally have a phone that I know will work (saw them charge it in the store, from a computer).Now, I know for a fact that my USB cable and ports will support a BB device for charging and syncing with a computer. Both were working just fine on my old BB device which I had until last week. The USB ports in my desktop are all new, and my laptop is less than a year old, all its ports are fine. So far, I've been able to rule out virtually all of the possible issues that the device suggests. I have done a reset by pulling the battery. I have attempted to charge it via a wall outlet with a USB to AC adapter. Nothing at all happens. I plugged it into the computer, and it told me that it cannot charge the device and it recommended I install the Desktop Manager. Well, it was already on the computer. I installed the USB drivers on their own, I've tried all my ports on both computers.

Running the latest DP build of WP 8.1 (8.10.12397.895) and, of course, would like to downgrade back to WP 8 so I can get the Cyan update.
Problem is that my phone is not being recognized on any computer I plug it into.
I've tried two Win 8.1 machines, a Win 2K12 and a Win 7. On all of them, I've completely uninstalled all of the Nokia software (three of the four machines had never had the software installed) and then reinstalled both the NSU and NSU for Retail. No go.
I did a reset on my phone. No go.
I removed both the SIM and the SD card. No go.
I've toggled the hidden USB settings on the phone. No go.
I've rebooted the phone upteen times. No go.
The phone is simply not being detected by the desktop OS and is not being installed on the computer.
I've tried everything I can think of to get this to work.

I am running V4.5.0.110 on my phone, carrier is AT&T. Desktop software is 5.0.1 and Yes, I've tried the battery removal trick, spent hours on the phone with support. 5.0.1 won't even go past the "Before you begin, verify that your current Blackberry device is connected to your computer." At least earlier versions of DM let you clear that box so you could force it to recognize.
