I can't sync iphone with my macbook even though my phone can find in my device. I try to sync, sync steps show funny and unable to sync with itunes.

I have a factory unlocked iphone 4s. recently my iphone will not sync to my itunes. The problem started recently when i downloaded/installed the new update, but while it installed, i think there was an error. i had a iphone 4 locked (US) bought purchased a new one since ive been traveling here in asia. another weird thing,I thought i lost some of my old videos, but now these videos are on my phone. anyhow, im very scared that ill lose that content/along with all the other content, although everything should be saved. If i reset/reformat it, i assume i have to enter in some of my phone carriers info to connect right? id like to avoid this at all cost. I just really want my iphone to sync. View 1 Replies View Relatedever since unpacking, my laptop wont recognize my new iphone 5S 64GB. I tried reinstall several times of itunes and assorted apple services and drivers, restarts of win7 64 bit ultimate and iphone too, no luck. I tried different ports for USB (without other things attached), different sides, different cables - nothing.Â
All other ipads and iphones we have connect perfectly and are recognized in itunes. I even had a home 64bit version of win7 on same laptop, and it is recognized there, but I cant do anything with that version since its damaged. I tried all apple support steps in several documents. I even tried parallel connected iphones to see how the new one behaves in terms of charging (charging also doesnt work) and I got this:Â
1. both iphones start charging on laptop restart.Â
2. both stop charging in middle of windows loading.Â
3. When windows are loaded, old iphone normaly recharges and is seen in itunes, new one not. New one from the box NEVER had option to trust computer.Â
I hear a pluging and unpluggin sound when I connect my usb or lightning connector for that new iphone. but nothing further. I tried stopping and restarting services etc...Looks to me like my iphone remembers my laptop AND win instalation and doesnt want to connect to them.Â

I was syncronizing my iphone4 with the itunes 10 installed in my old computer. But this computer broke and I lost all the data. The security backup's I was doing in iclouds.
Now I have another computer where I installed itunes but when I try to syncronize it appears a message alerting me that the sync will substitute what I have in my iphone (contacts, music, photos, notes, etc, ALL) by the empty library of this new itunes...
I accessed iclouds online and I can also see the back up of my contacts. Not manage my music or photos.
How can I do to have my stuff again in itunes and freely sync without reseting what I have saved in the iphone4??

i added a movie to my itunes that was mp4 format but it couldnt sync to my iphone. i tried playing it on my apple tv directly from my itunes and it didnt work. i think the problem was the resolution (i think it was 1000 something X ?) should i convert the video? if i should what application should i use? i plan on regularly syncing movies to my iphone4 and airplay them to my apple tv (newest one). i dont mind airplaying them from my mac ps. can i airplay and avi file from my mac to the apple TV?

Yesterday I decided to sync my iPhone to a different PC which my husband uses to sync his ipod. Before I sync-ed I upgraded itunes to v10. When I tried to sync however I noticed that the contacts section in the Info tab had nothing in the list (i.e. The title reads "Sync Contacts with " followed by a list but the list is empty) and when I click the Configure button nothing happens. Anyway I checked the option to sync contacts anyway but got an error saying "itunes was unable to load dataclass information from sync services."
Stupidly I then chose to restore my iphone as suggested in the Summary tab and thereby lost all of the contacts on my phone which I of course cannot sync back.
