i heard that kinetic scrolling is introduced in v40 as shown in a Internet video given below

but i didnt found that after upgrading to v40.is it not pre-enabled and if it is pre-enabled why it is not working in my 5800 device. for this feature do we need to install flashlite. and also please explain all the features of v40 update.
The other day i got a nokia 5800 refurb in brighthouse for £30 and was just wondering if i can have the home screen like the X6 With the scrolling contacts bar at the top and the shortcuts along the bottom
When i go to my contacts and scroll down Letters pop up like A , B , C i know it's for my names etc. but i do not need it and find it pretty much annoying, Does anyone know where i can remove this from?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm comparing to my 5530, On the contacts bar it nicely blends into the back ground, on the 5800 is a dirty oversized white block with the contact in the middle, no blending in or anything, same on the email, a horrible big white square, nothing blended in, I've tried different themes, and reflashed but no good.

In Maps 3.03 you can only zoom to the geographical center of the route (which is useless). You may jump from turn to turn, but you cannot scroll in the zoomed route, let alone add a route point.So my question goes to the people who are already using Ovi Maps 3.04:Is it possible again to zoom/scroll in the preview of a planned route?Is it possible to "edit" a planned route on the phone by adding or removing route points from the preview?IMHO, regarding a mobile navigation application, manually scrolling, zooming and editing a planned route are exactly what make a smartphone into a smart phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI turned it on this morning and was checking my email, as I was scrolling down it started scrolling down on it's own super fast and just kept scrolling until it got to the bottom. I'm having trouble using the trackpad to scroll up, even in the menu, it keeps wanting to scroll down. I've tried taking the battery out and back in, I'm not sure what else to try.

View 1 Replies View Relatedrecently my lock button at the top hasn't be working properly, it will lock, but then won't unlock until he 10th push. Also the trackpad sometimes does not scroll up, only left and right. Also some of my letter/number keys (all the ones under the trackpad) haven't been working the first time I press them! Also the camera button isn't working sometimes, it clicks to take, but doesn't do the first mini click to focus. And lastly my ALT button hasn't been working sometimes. I've done reboots and it doesn't help. The wierd thing is, all the problems are intermittent.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI to am experiencing the pain that is T/B not working in a SMS conversations(OS6). Definitely works everywhere else BBM and such but not in SMS windows. This is a big deal for me because my threads get long and i dont want to have to delete them in order to make it easier to scroll. I shouldn't have to do that.When you get a new message the OS should put it on the screen.. you shouldn't have to scroll for years to get it.

on certain apps (e.g. Facebook, Pleco Chinese dictionary etc.) scrolling through the News Feed/dictionary list is very choppy, and stutters a lot more than my old HTC Wildfire. I've tried using various update versions with the same lag. Scrolling isn't a problem with other apps/Chrome browser/device menus etc (where the scrolling is buttery-smooth!). Is this due to poorly-optimised apps, or a backend issue like hardware acceleration?

The little bar on the right side jumps all over the place whenever I scroll through the list of people. And it always jumps at certain spots. Like once I get past a certain name the scroll bar on the side will shoot all the way back to the top even though I am halfway through the list of names.

(Product code: 0575581) iPhone users get the update directly from apple on the day it is released, why can't nokia do this same. I know people on this forum keep on saying it's the mobile operators problem but it's not. Nokia have control over this just like apple have control over the iphone.
Either nokia should release the update once all of the operators have customized the software or they could release the software and give the operators 2 weeks to customize it, if the operator doesn't bother in 2 weeks, nokia should give the generic version to download.
Lately when I've been txting I've been noticing I guess its the cursor scroll up and down and sideways could this problem be software or would it be the trackpad?

When i scrol down through emails the body of the message disappears and the screen changes to a check pattern. if I scroll backup the text reappears. This only seems to happen on emails - not in a browser or any other app where I scroll through content.
