When i go to my contacts and scroll down Letters pop up like A , B , C i know it's for my names etc. but i do not need it and find it pretty much annoying, Does anyone know where i can remove this from?

When looking at Contacts on iPhone (5s), the alphabetized lettering on the right side is REALLY small. When I try to tap on a letter to jump to, 9 times out of 10 I open the contact on the LEFT that is nearest the one I'm trying to tap on the right.
Hence, is there any setting to make those alphabetized letters LARGER?Â
I notice sometimes a bit of stutter when i am scrolling through the contacts and log, you notice it when you try to scroll slowly, and in the app drawer there is some too, it happens when you do not open the app drawer for a bit of time, then you open it and slide between the pages and the first slide stutter a bit, after that its fine..... I am thinking of doing a factory reset..... I have my phone for about 5 weeks now....

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently decided to upgrade my memory card from 4 gig to 8 gig. So what I did is I removed the memory card from phone and copied its contents onto the 8 gig card. When I put the new card in the phone it worked and everything, but some applications mysteriously disappeared and neither the contacts key nor the contacts icon (phonebook) work anymore,. ie can't see my contacts unless I remove the memory card.

Problem is it DUPLICATES the contacts on my NOKIA 5230 even if I DELETE all the contacts listed on the PC OVI list. My understanding of SYNCing is that the PC and the NOKIA should have the same information. Either the SYNC is not working or there is a setting somewhere that needs to be changed? MY NOKIA is showing over 500 contacts when it should be half. Manual deletions to remove all the duplicates is a long job and the SYNC process always returns it back to over 500.I have set my NIKA to save all contact to the Phone Memory (not the SIM). Any ideas of to avoid and remove the DUPLICATES.

Also sometimes it takes a couple of seconds for the full word to appear eg on the personalisation page, it first appears as personalisa and then the final letters appear. Other than that phone is good so far.

Just about every one of the 6+ Billion telephones on the planet displays letters on the number keys, ie. ABC on #2, DEF on #3, and so on.Why is it that Nokia cannot see fit do do the same on the 5230 dial pad?
It can't be that the 'real estate is too small - LG manages to do it just fine on the Xenon GR500FD phone with smaller on-screen buttons.The lack of letters on the dialpad makes it extremely difficult to interact with IVR systems where you need to be able to dial by 'last name'think calling a large company or hospital when you don't know the person's extension.Has anyone found a way to mod the 5230 dialpad to display letters & numbers on it?

Sometime typed letters will erase automatically. i tried with all types of keypads (mini,hand writing, full qwerty, numeric) software version v50. v51 not available.

In Maps 3.03 you can only zoom to the geographical center of the route (which is useless). You may jump from turn to turn, but you cannot scroll in the zoomed route, let alone add a route point.So my question goes to the people who are already using Ovi Maps 3.04:Is it possible again to zoom/scroll in the preview of a planned route?Is it possible to "edit" a planned route on the phone by adding or removing route points from the preview?IMHO, regarding a mobile navigation application, manually scrolling, zooming and editing a planned route are exactly what make a smartphone into a smart phone.

Then it turned on a seems to work fine except when I use the keypad only the number symbol comes up or a square. Like no numbers or letters come up. I cant type messages. And when I scroll through my inbox it marks all the messages. I am confused I think my number lock is on or something.

If i try to find a word from english to vietnamese, the vietnamese equivalent word will have missing letters.For example: i search "hello" and the vietnamese shows: "xin chao: bi ___ u _ l ___ s ng ___ c nhien" (the underscores "_" are the missing letters.Anyone know how to fix this? Is there any way the E72 can be used to have a home screen like the Nokia 6500 whereby there are several options clickable from the main screen via a scrolling option. Where we have the 6 set programs, the 6500 has a really handy scrollable list - there are too many useful programs for the six options to be sufficient.
