Jan 28, 2010Has anyone solved the problem where it skips a button when your'e texting? Like does the new FW fix it or should I not bother?

May 25, 2010After updating to new firmware via online. Whenever I type using the qwerty keyboard the letters do not appear in the box. Although they are there i.e. when I go back to message screen then what I have typed is there. Anyone who has same problems along with a solution please.

Sep 4, 2012I'm currently using a Bold 9900 under T-Mobile. The phone repeats the letters "n" and "m" nonstop. If I leave my phone down, it would show "nmnmnmnmnmnm" after a minute. The keyboard, trackpad, and unlock buttons are also not responsive. I've tried the batter pull numerous times, and it has shown improvement once (I was able to type in my password and go into the home menu). Soon after that the problem returned. The phone just seems half dead and its reponse to my actions are random. Sometimes I'm unable to unlock my phone even after pressing the unlock button numerous times.
I did go to a beach with my phone. But there was no water or sand damage. It was in my hotel room the whole time. as the phone is completely unuseable right now. The screen works, but I am unable to press any keys to unlock/use my phone.

Jun 30, 2011I got a Wifi Xoom with 3.0.1 stock firmware (like if I could have it in any other version without voiding warranty) and I'm having some problems with my Moto BT keyboard. It connects well, pairs well, types well and without lag, but from time to time, when writing things longer than an URL or a login (for example an email) one of the letters typed repeats and repeats like holding it's key. It's quite annoying, and one of the times, the repeated key was backspace, so it erased all of the text.

Jun 7, 2010I have songs in m4a format and while playing albums some songs get skipped. It happens in two situations. Some songs cannot even be played manually, the player shows correct song length and all meta data from song but then it just skips when starts to play and just does that permanently for some songs from same album. Another situation is when the player jumps to next song in album and then I see for a moment WLAN icon showing up and then the song gets skipped. When I manually play this song it plays OK. Any idea?

Is there any fix? I have both a e71 and a e72 (the e71 LCD screen stopped working, I ordered a LCD replacement and am yet to try it out). Is there anyway I can take the e72's innards and put it in the exterior of the e71?
Why does this happen? My firmware is updated (Ovi Suite says mine is the latest), I have tried soft rebooting, hard rebooting, factory reset, hard reset, whatever possible "standard" solutions. Is there any real solution at all? It's kind of annoying especially for fast typers!

Dec 7, 2012Having fits with my Verizon Nokia 822. Tried to take some videos today & then watch them on the phone. Took 4 videos, 2 saved to my Sandisk 64gb class 10 card, 2 saved to the phone. Took 720 & 1080 video's all 4 videos are very choppy on playback. They skip most of what is recorded. Phone also duplicates music, photo's & video's like crazy! I have 10+ copies of pictures & songs on my phone, it stops duplicating videos at 3 copies!

Feb 8, 2010On some screens, some of the letters are missing on headings eg text messa rather than text message - there seems little space for the remaining letters. Also sometimes it takes a couple of seconds for the full word to appear eg on the personalisation page, it first appears as personalisa and then the final letters appear. Other than that phone is good so far.

Jul 24, 2010Just about every one of the 6+ Billion telephones on the planet displays letters on the number keys, ie. ABC on #2, DEF on #3, and so on.Why is it that Nokia cannot see fit do do the same on the 5230 dial pad?
It can't be that the 'real estate is too small - LG manages to do it just fine on the Xenon GR500FD phone with smaller on-screen buttons.The lack of letters on the dialpad makes it extremely difficult to interact with IVR systems where you need to be able to dial by 'last name'think calling a large company or hospital when you don't know the person's extension.Has anyone found a way to mod the 5230 dialpad to display letters & numbers on it?

Dec 31, 2011I dropped my phone in water and then I dried it with a blow dryer put it in rice. Then it turned on a seems to work fine except when I use the keypad only the number symbol comes up or a square. Like no numbers or letters come up. I cant type messages. If i try to find a word from english to vietnamese, the vietnamese equivalent word will have missing letters.For example: i search "hello" and the vietnamese shows: "xin chao: bi ___ u _ l ___ s ng ___ c nhien" (the underscores "_" are the missing letters.Anyone know how to fix this? I've tried reinstalling the application, and the language pack.

Apr 25, 2011I am having problems with my Xoom wifi skipping while I am multitasking. I notice it most while browsing. This is no surprise as using the browser is cpu intensive, but I have noticed it other times as well. I thought it might be the default music player, but once they fixed the Pandora force close issue on the Xoom wifi I noticed the same problem with Pandora.
