Nokia :: E72 - Some Letters Are Missing On Headings
Feb 8, 2010
On some screens, some of the letters are missing on headings eg text messa rather than text message - there seems little space for the remaining letters. Also sometimes it takes a couple of seconds for the full word to appear eg on the personalisation page, it first appears as personalisa and then the final letters appear. Other than that phone is good so far.
Ever since I upgraded the phone's firmware to the latest (v 20.0.080) the mobile dictionary has a weird glitch. I've attached a picture to show.
If i try to find a word from english to vietnamese, the vietnamese equivalent word will have missing letters. For example: i search "hello" and the vietnamese shows: "xin chao: bi ___ u _ l ___ s ng ___ c nhien" (the underscores "_" are the missing letters.Anyone know how to fix this? I've tried reinstalling the application, and the language pack.
I've tried a english to english search, and words don't show up missing letters. this seems to just happen to vietnamese letters.I do a simple search of a vietnamese to vietnamese. even the results show words with missing letters.
Whenever I receive a text message the sender is highlighted in grey, and has mauve font colour; well it may be red, but on grey? well you know!
How do I change the font to white, 'cos I now believe the highlighting makes it a quick link.Took the phone into a big phone store where they used their own 5800XM. They couldn't resolve it. I did notice that my phone has a red side livery ,and has a red font colour; whilst the shop one had a blue livery, with a blue font. Is this any indication, and would it mean I need to download another theme from Nokia?
When i go to my contacts and scroll down Letters pop up like A , B , C i know it's for my names etc. but i do not need it and find it pretty much annoying, Does anyone know where i can remove this from?
Just about every one of the 6+ Billion telephones on the planet displays letters on the number keys, ie. ABC on #2, DEF on #3, and so on.Why is it that Nokia cannot see fit do do the same on the 5230 dial pad? It can't be that the 'real estate is too small - LG manages to do it just fine on the Xenon GR500FD phone with smaller on-screen buttons. The lack of letters on the dialpad makes it extremely difficult to interact with IVR systems where you need to be able to dial by 'last name'think calling a large company or hospital when you don't know the person's extension.Has anyone found a way to mod the 5230 dialpad to display letters & numbers on it?
Sometime typed letters will erase automatically. i tried with all types of keypads (mini, hand writing, full qwerty, numeric) software version v50. v51 not available.
After updating to new firmware via online. Whenever I type using the qwerty keyboard the letters do not appear in the box. Although they are there i.e. when I go back to message screen then what I have typed is there. Anyone who has same problems along with a solution please.
I dropped my phone in water and then I dried it with a blow dryer put it in rice. Then it turned on a seems to work fine except when I use the keypad only the number symbol comes up or a square. Like no numbers or letters come up. I cant type messages. And when I scroll through my inbox it marks all the messages. I am confused I think my number lock is on or something.
I installed a program from app manager , I dont remember the name of te application...everthing was installed correctly...then later I uninstalled and restarted the device.....but now the device only shows me a lot of small letters and restarts again. when I try to flash the phone in a xp 32 bit computer the system shows me that the driver is corrupted....and dont let me do the flash proccess wiht the maemo flasher 3.5.
My IPhone if having trouble with the screen, I can't type neither letter M nor I. I did an icloud backup and restore the phone thinking that could fix it and it didn't. Now I can't get to my backup in icloud because letter M and I are part of the user/password needed.
how to get to my backup? Can I access icloud from iTunes?
i cant use some letters on the keyboard in landscape mode
in english it works very fine but in arabic i cant use 3 letters when i press on screen no thing happens i just dont know how to fix this.the 3 letters which i cant use is in the middle of keyboad in landscape mode
i just got my blackberry bold 9000 today, and i cant seen to figure out how to get norwegian letters! i used to have a curve 8520, i figured out how to get the norwegian letters æ,ø and å on that one, but now its a bit harder with my old curve i also had a little ''menu'' dropping down while writing, where i could choose å on the A button and so on.
In the top right hand corner of my Blackberry it says edge (lowercase) how do I get it to say EDGE (caps)? And do I need EDGE to be in caps to use BBM?
I was just hoping that someone could please shed some light on a problem i have with my Blackberry Curve 8520. Just recently it has started to type extra "a" in when i use it then all of a sudden the "alt" button is putting in * when i press it.I read somewhere that it maybe water damage, but i don't take it near water then i heard it may just be the keypad sticking or thirdly it could be the software needing to be upgraded.if you have had the same problem and managed to sort it or even if you had to get a new phone.
The numbers on the keypad have more than one letter assigned to them. How do you enter letters when dialling so that first of all they are recognised as letters rather than the number and secondly how do you distinguish which letter you are entering out of the 3/4 letters assigned to each number ?
Info: Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Normally on a PC you use the alt button and the numeric keys to put a certain mark on a letter I.e an accent sign on an e. How do I do that on my BB torch
Sometimes when I'm typing on the keyboard, some of the letters are not registered even though the touch is. I'm using swiftkey btw but it's happening on all the keyboards I use including the Samsung one.
quick question since this is my first blackberry and all.I noticied the other day that the little bump that is on the d key lost some of the black and now has the white light shining through. Its not really a big deal just wondering if the keys fading on the blackberry is a normal thing?
Sometimes companies will advertise a toll free number with letters. I am having a problem dialing these numbers on my BB since I cnat spell out the letters on the phone. So how would I dial the numbers? For example 1-888-22-peace.
