Aug 7, 2015When I'm typing with the stock Samsung Keyboard occasionally it deletes the first letter of the word I'm typing automatically. This is really annoying because then it predicts a completely different word to the one I initially meant to type. Also, the issue is only with Samsung Keyboard, swiftkey works fine.

Jan 1, 2011Less than a couple months ago, I got a new Pearl 9100. Two days ago I had to take the battery out and after I put the battery back on, the phone started to reset itself. It goes from the red light on the upper right corner to the Blackberry start screen with the white line where you can guess how much of the OS has loaded (percentage bar?)It loads about 1 - 2% of the bar and then it resets itself. I have tried to reload the OS according to the instructions providen on this site, but it is not possible, since the phone does not stay on long enough for the upgrade.

Aug 25, 2011My Pearl 9100 will not, and has not since I have owned it, retrieve MMS. I get a notification that someone has sent me a message, my phone displays the message and says ***Not Retrieved Yet*** with a button underneath saying "Download Now" and "Expires mm/dd/yy/time". But after I click "Download Now", my phone does absolutely nothing. I have no idea what to do or where to start to even try to remedy this situation. My carrier is Bell Canada.

BB Pearl :: Protect Does Not Complete On 9100?
Dec 12, 2010My wife's Pearl 9100 has been having a lot of trouble backing up over BB Protect software, lately. It used to work perfectly fine before, but now it seems to start the backup and then it aborts after about 90% completion. Also the backup is extremely slow. The Pearl is connected through my home Wi-Fi router and we have 25 Mbps broadband connection, so there should be no speed issues at all, I would think.

May 30, 2011my phone was in my pocket and I assume I pressed a combination of keys. The vertical scroll on my track pad does not work on the main screen or in these screen that gets me to applications and options etc. unless I hold down the ALT button. Now this is extremely annoying especially when trying to move fast through messages and options.
Is there are key combo or a setting I can use to remove this? I do not want to have to press the alt screen to move up and down!

Jun 4, 2010Before I take this phone back to the store I want to find out if this maybe the way that RIM is actually making this phone now.When I get a new email or text etc., the led light flashes red like all the blackberries do but it only goes for a short time then stops. It starts again when there is more emails but again stops.
I looked in the settings and cant find what I would adjust for this. Either the phone is defective or this is the way the phone is.Any help would be appreciated as I will need to take it back within the next day or two.
Galaxy S6 :: Letters At The Beginning Of Words Disappearing Whilst Typing
Aug 19, 2015Since the last update (August 2015), whenever I type some letters letters (one, sometimes 2) from the beginning of the word disappear before I can finish typing the word. This causes autocomplete to think I'm typing a completely different word.
E.g., I tried to type "think" - the "t" disappeared by the time I had gotten to the "i"(despite it initially appearing initially), making the phone think that the word is starting with "h", and leading to issues when I press space (despite typing think perfectly, the phone autocorrected to the nearest matching word starting with H as "h" was now the beginning letter)
This has only been an issue since updating my phone this week. I thought it might have been the swipe function messing up, but turning that off, it's still causing me issues when I type normally.
BB Pearl :: Some Key Presses Result In Double Letters?
Feb 22, 2011Pearl 9100 - some keys, particularly the top row return a double character even if lightly pressed once. For example, if I press the E1R key, it sometimes returns e and r (even if I am really careful). The space bar sometimes also results in a period even though I've been careful not to double press.
This is a new problem not experienced before. It is particularly frustrating when trying to input the password to unlock the screen because the attempt often results in an error.
I have re-booted the device (battery out) and it seems to fix the problem for a moment, but the problem quickly returns.
I have also set the Key Rate to 'Medium Fast' and 'Slow', but with no apparent improvement.
Firmware package Package Version: 5.0.0.1083 is installed (current for Telstra) and there are only a few third party apps (Google Maps v 4.52); Virgin Blue Travel Application; Telstra's My Place; and Sensis Whereis Navigator.

Jan 6, 2010I bought a Blackberry Pearl recently. When i text message i press the "shift key" to turn the letter im typing into a capital. But i noticed, or can't find a way to keep my letters constantly in Capital.
For example, if i want to type, "I WANT ALL MY LETTERS CAPITAL!" i seem to have to press the "shift key" button for each individual letter! is there any way around this, where i could press some "shift something key" to where my typing remains in CAPITAL until i repress this "shift something key"??

Mar 22, 2011I have the Pearl 9105, Blackberry's non-QWERTY phone.Anyone here who has experienced this before? When i press a key, it acts like it's pressed 2x times.Say for example i'd want to dial "12345", the screen's going to show "1122334455".Or when I am texting and I want to type the letter "A", I would press the key ONCE but it would give me a "B" instead.

May 31, 2010quick question since this is my first blackberry and all.I noticied the other day that the little bump that is on the d key lost some of the black and now has the white light shining through. May 10, 2012I am using bb 8110 pearl and I used bis plan 2 months ago and everything worked fine for me and I deactivated and 1 month ago I reactivated it but edge is showing in small letters and I called 2 service provider and they told me my plan is activated and it is same as what I was using before. I did everything like battery pull out, wipe out, upgrade and downgrade and sending registration message from host routing table and also tried on-pff data services. I am calling daily service provider but they said my plan is activated and working but I cant get use anything. I read somewhere if pin is blocked by rim then cant use net services. But I don't know even if mine is blocked. In status I can see pin and imei.

Sep 4, 2012I'm currently using a Bold 9900 under T-Mobile. The phone repeats the letters "n" and "m" nonstop. If I leave my phone down, it would show "nmnmnmnmnmnm" after a minute. The keyboard, trackpad, and unlock buttons are also not responsive. I've tried the batter pull numerous times, and it has shown improvement once (I was able to type in my password and go into the home menu). Soon after that the problem returned. The phone just seems half dead and its reponse to my actions are random. Sometimes I'm unable to unlock my phone even after pressing the unlock button numerous times.
I did go to a beach with my phone. But there was no water or sand damage. It was in my hotel room the whole time. as the phone is completely unuseable right now. The screen works, but I am unable to press any keys to unlock/use my phone.
