Recently my blackberry trackball been acting really weird.. everytime that arrow shows on the screen...my trackball keep going up by itself, so its making me really difficult to type especially on messenger window chat...as it keep scrolling up to the top of screen...and it keep happening until the arrows gone...then I can start to type again...but as soon as it shows again..the scrolling start again.

Feb 13, 2010I recently purchased an unlocked Verizon Storm2 9550 from the U.S. I am located in Canada and my carrier is Rogers.
When I got my phone, I took out the SIM card that was in it from the oriinal owner and inserted a Rogers SIM card that I have been using on a number of older Blackberries for about 7 years now. The SIM card series is 8930 2720 3040 3168 7436.
My new 9550 was configured for use on our enterprise server at work. When it works, it's a pleasure. However it is prone to frequent freezing issues - not complete freezing but, rather, the screen doesn't seem to fully click, I lose scrolling through messages functionality, I can never stay within an email. It's really a hodge-podge which is annoying enough that I have to do a battery-removal reboot. (Incidentally, is it normal that it takes about 3 minutes for the unit to reboot?)
Here are my questions:
1) Does anyone know how to resolve the annoying and persistent freezing?
2) Might the freezing relate to the old SIM card? Is there any preferred SIM card that I should be lookingn for?
3) Is there any chance that I could get 3G to work? Right now, only 2G works.
4) Might it be an OS problem? Here are the details that show up :

BB Curve :: Scrolling Down By Itself?
Nov 19, 2010I turned it on this morning and was checking my email, as I was scrolling down it started scrolling down on it's own super fast and just kept scrolling until it got to the bottom. I'm having trouble using the trackpad to scroll up, even in the menu, it keeps wanting to scroll down. I've tried taking the battery out and back in, I'm not sure what else to try.

When i scrol down through emails the body of the message disappears and the screen changes to a check pattern. if I scroll backup the text reappears. This only seems to happen on emails - not in a browser or any other app where I scroll through content. It seemd to fix when i remove the battery and restart the device but a few days later it does it again.

Mar 26, 2012I have never used BBM. I have no interest in using BBM. I have never signed in, don't have a screen name. I have even deleted the application from my BB.
I keep on getting messages pop up from random people I have never heard of. How do I stop this? I do not want to receive BBM messages from anybody, nor do I want the annoying blue icon to appear every time some random person tries.
How are people even able to send me messages, when I have never signed-up, or used the service and have even deleted the application?
BB Curve :: It Won't Stop Rebooting
Aug 15, 2012Alright so my blackberry curve has been rebooting for quite some time now but it always manages to come back to normal at one point, but today, all day today, its been rebooting and I have no idea why. Right now it died and I put it in the charger and it's still rebooting.
