I am using nokia n8,I am playing music by my earphone and I have a call, after I finished of the call by taking out the earphone the music suddenly starts again which is very nagging, especially when in office,
View 2 RepliesAfter I upgraded to Nokia Belle on my N8, my phone will stop receiving calls, messages, emails and can't even browse the internet. It behaves like I'm not connected my mobile network. I will have to switch the phone off and switch it back on to be able to receive calls again. Every other installed applications work so far they don't need to access the network. The strange thing is that, you won't notice anything. If you are someone that receives calls a lot, you'll just notice that you haven't received any calls or SMS or emails. This happens everyday, sometimes 3 times a day.

Bluetooth headset is connected, music player is not running (or any other application, for that matter). When a phone conversation ends, or a missed call is received, the music player starts by itself. Note: I do not press any buttons on the headset or the phone.

Everytime I'm listening to music via stock 8.1 music app (so called Music or Xbox music, ver. 2.6.414.0) when I get a message or any sort of a notification, music stops and won't turn back until I manually open the app and press play. Not quite sure how often most people make video calls, is it 1/1, 1/10, 1/100 - so why do I have to go through the process of selecting Voice Call every time I dial, even if it is a landline number?Good feature in 2015 but maybe a little too early for our time.Anyway enough of the rant - does anyone know how to stop this function? View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 5800 and recently wanted to play a song. When I started the player, I got an error - something to do with the music library being corrupted. I left it to try and sort the problem for a while and then pressed STOP. When I tried later, the library was empty.I have upgraded the Music player but that also did not help. I removed the memory card where the MUSIC diretory is located and re-installed it. I have also re-booted the phone several times.From my PC I can see the directroy with all my music. All attempts to REFRESH the library on the phone fail with a message saying that 0 songs have been added. I have left it for long periods of time but still have no songs.If I locate a song with the file manager I can play it.Is there some way to delete/reset the library database and force it to re-create it?

I think this is a hardware issue as I have always updated the firmware as soon as its released and I have the same problem no matter the firmware. Resetting and turning off/on again doesn't solve it. Just have to lock the screen and rub my thumb over the entire screen and it seems to start working again. Could part of the touch screen be getting stuck down?

Tried to register with the latest version ovi player on the pc however when I type in the code the page will not respond.Emailed Nokia who confirm the code is valid and suggest making sure its connected to the internet (duh), use the latest version ovi player, clear the browser, reinstall ovi player, consult the website or follow the site instructions.Strangely none of these make a difference. Haven't rung them yet as the don't say what that will cost.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I unplug my headphones music (in my case podcast) continues to play when I unplug my headphones. The audio comes out the built in speakers at the bottom of the phone. Other times, I get a short (less than 1 second) bit of sound out of the bottom built in speakers. This is really annoying to my wife who wakes up from the sound when I unplug my headphones in bed after she has gone to sleep. I expect no sound out of the peakers when I unplug the headset. Seems like a timing issue and a surprise removal can be hard to deal with, but you got it right with the 900.I used to have that phone before the 920 and it never had that issue.

The problem is that despite this being an Xpressmusic device the music player is a bit marginal, IMO. The thing I miss most compared to regular mp3 players is the capability to remember where it was stopped the last time. You're listening to a playlist and you turn of the player when you go home. Next time you turn on the player you want it to pick up where it was and continue with the same song in the same location in the same playlist. You could say you could remember where you stopped but that's silly. What if you had a long podcast or audio book? Wouldn't it make sense to continue where you stopped?
I realize I can pause the player and keep it running in the background but that means I can't power of my phone, right? I've looked at two alternative players and they don't seem to support this most basic feature either. Why? Doesn't anyone take phones seriously as mp3 replacements? I hope Nokia reads this and considers sneaking in this minor feature in the next 5800 update or as an Ovi download.
If I want to have my phone available for handsfree calls and hear the directional prompts using Nokia Drive in my 2011 Acura TSX (not tech package) I have to have the audio set to Bluetooth Audio. But when I do that the Music app automatically starts and plays music. I can turn it off (using the Stop the Music app), but it comes back on after a few seconds. How can I make it stop playing music?

After restaring the phone it works fine. An even more annoying problem is that when this has happened my phone doesn't receive calls either. I've heard that people have tried to call me and it has rang normally but my phone doesn't show that someone has called me.
