I have a Blackberry Bold 9900 on AT&T and it for some strange reason starts to scroll on its own. It makes it very difficult to select anything when it does this. I did a battery pull several times and it still occurs.

Lately when I've been txting I've been noticing I guess its the cursor scroll up and down and sideways could this problem be software or would it be the trackpad?

View 2 Replies View Relatedrecently my lock button at the top hasn't be working properly, it will lock, but then won't unlock until he 10th push. Also the trackpad sometimes does not scroll up, only left and right. Also some of my letter/number keys (all the ones under the trackpad) haven't been working the first time I press them! Also the camera button isn't working sometimes, it clicks to take, but doesn't do the first mini click to focus. And lastly my ALT button hasn't been working sometimes. I've done reboots and it doesn't help. The wierd thing is, all the problems are intermittent.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9780 started having glitches a couple of months ago. The P & del buttons started doin weird stuff then one night the phone switched itself off. I had to do the taking the battery out thing to get it on but it continued to switch off. I searched the net and found a solution. I took the battery out for a while then gave it a long 24hr charge. This got the phone working again. I still had a few problems with the p but nothing to serious. Over the last week the problem with the p started to happen again and 2 nights ago the phone switched itself off again. I did exactly what I had done before and it worked but once the phone is on I cannot scroll the trackpad on the main screen which means i cant do anything. if i push a few buttons i can get onto the search screen and get onto the menu where the scroll works but if i get into certain apps like messenger it doesnt scroll again. it also has been switching itself on and off again. when it first started i could still connect it to the desktop software, now i cant even do that.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy trackpad does not scroll but it works when pressed. It has been like this for about 4weeks.I have not dropped it or kept it near water.its just 2monthes old and I baby it so much.there is a tiny red light(I think its the infra-red)showing inside the trackpad so I think its not totally spoilt.since this problem started my phone takes too much time(about 10mins)to come up anytime I take out the battery.and most times the phone is slow in operating. It has worked twice during the 4weeks interval.the first time my battery was flat and I removed it from my phone then when I wanted to charge it came up at a normal time(1min)and was scrolling but stopped scrolling again in about 2mins while I was using it. The other time was wen my camera was not snapping and was giving me error message I removed the battery and put it back and it came up quickly and trackpad was scrolling. I noticed it was scrollin but I did not scroll it much after about 12mins I decided to check and it was still scrolling but when I continued to use it,it just stopped in about 1min.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Bold 9930 with Verizon. About a month ago, I started experiencing this issue. When I receive texts, and there are multiple texts from the same number, the thext screen freezes and no matter what I do, I can not scroll UP to see the previous messages. Touch screen or the touch pad does not work. You can visibly see the time stamps changing to previous messages but the messages do not scroll at all. You can still exit text messages and all other scroll works fine. I have had to hard reboot to get rid of the issue. Then it returns after a week or so later. I have updated the software via VZ when they sent an operating systems update.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone is constantly putting o's into every word, and often just straight up barely types. It also is continuously calling numbers even after I've deleted them from my phone.
I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.
A couple of weeks ago I traded in my 9630 for a 9900 and love it but recently the device has been doing random soft resets for no apparent reason.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm just wondering if anyone has had this one problem as well. I literally just upgraded from the 9700 to the 9900, less than a week ago. Havent had much time to put all my contacts onto the new phone and only added a couple of appsOn tuesday, my phone just randomly shut off while i was texting someone. After restarting it, i was on a web site, reading and it randomly shut off again.o, in total i believe my phone has randomly shut off on me about 6-7 times since Tuesday. I thought it could be a battery life thing, but i had a minimum half battery each time and the phone turns back on right after it shuts off.ll the software for the phone is all up to date. Just wondering if there's a solution? maybe did I just get a "lemon" for a phone? Maybe should I take it back to Bell or what should I do?

BIS is set up to forward messages that do not meet filters.This just started happening today, I'm not receiving random emails! It's been working fine for weeks! So starting today, I would be in a conversation with someone, and I won't get a reply. That person sends me another email asking if I got his last email... coming back home and checking (Apple Mail) I realize I'm missing some other emails today as well. Again, some emails reach my Blackberry, others don't! No rhyme or reason as to why this is happening.

And i can fix the problem by locking and unlocking the screen a few times and it goes back to normal but then like 5 minutes later it turns white again . Btw i tried reloading the os on my phone again it didnt fix the problem but i havent tried downgrading my os to os5 (now ive got os6). All buttons on the device including lock/unlock key while this is happend the blackberry screen is in sleep mode or whatever you call it when device isn't in use but ppl think it shut off automatically. During this time you can receive calls, bbm, nd text and all that you just won't be able to answer the call, reply to bbm, and so on... P.s screen turns on if u receive a call obviously.The only fix for this is to pull out the battery so it reboots fully this is only temporary may happen again.All you other people are just giving RIM false information like "blackberry just auto shut off" without even bothering to look into it your first goto place are these forums..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI opened up my pictures folder earlier today and a random picture of the Blackberry symbol was there, that I know I did not take, and no one else has been using my phone...I deleted some of the apps I no longer use and then rebooted my phone, only to find a few more random pictures in the folder, one being a gold star, and another that looked like the red star that normally appears when there is an update available in the Blackberry app store.

Trying to make a phone call, read text, email, or even just scrolling through apps is very difficult because the screen scrolls down to the very bottom very quickly. When I scoll back up, it scrolls right back to the bottom. When I'm not outside or a bright glare is not on the screen it works great.

I have not selected the "Replace all contacts from this BlackBerry device" yet it still deletes my contacts upon every sync! I even removed all my contacts from my Mac and attempted a fresh backup to avoid these random deletions but still the same.

For example, sometimes I get forwarded chain texts and it won't let me view them, it'll show a random block of text and that's it. And if I try to reply to it, it won't show me my reply, it's only doing this with a few contacts, but it's still extremely annoying.I've tried uninstalling my third party apps and it didn't fix it, is it a setting I have to change or does anyone know anything?

This has happened before but after charging my phone it started to work again. I have turned my phone on and off, tried charging it and the button still doesn't work. Although the keypad will lock when I put it into the leather case.Do you think it is a problem with my blackberry and I should return it? Or is this a problem people have had before and if so, how do I fix it?

I'm having trouble using the trackpad to scroll up, even in the menu, it keeps wanting to scroll down. I've tried taking the battery out and back in, I'm not sure what else to try.
