BB Bold :: 9900 Not Scrolling Within Applications
May 31, 2012My 9900 scrolls fine until I'm in any application, then it will not scroll at all. Everything else appears to be working fine.

Sep 25, 2011just got a new bold 9900, and its been scrolling on its own, it makes it hard to type, or view pictures, it'll be sitting on my desk and ill see it scrolling, tried to pull the battery but still happens

Jul 16, 2012My Blackberry randomly stops responding on different applications, and then i have to hold the menu button and switch to a different application, and i won't be able to use the un-responsive application until the blackberry is given a hard reset. Also during this time, my BBM will mess up, It won't show me peoples display pictures, it will show that their there when im in a conversation or over their name, but as soon as i go onto their profile or enlarge their image it will freeze, it will not let me send or recieve BBM messages during this 'phase' either, I've tried reloading the OS but that won't work either for some reason.

Jul 31, 2012Having issues viewing web pages that are not setup for mobile applications. I figured out to change the font settings so I can reed print, but adjusting and readjusting the touch screen by pinching and zooming in is not practical, each time I click on a link, I lose the setting Ibrowsing just adjsusted, and I have to do this all over again. By doing this 9 times out of ten My phone goes to a ling I have no intrest in viewing, my BB curve was a lot better at browsing web pages than this model of phone.
1. Can I turn off the touch screen?
2. How I do adjust my browser settings so that pages load with having to zoom in or out?
3. Having issues with the phone locking up while texting and viewing web pages, the cell bar (strength ) freezes up at the same time as the phone, i suspect its the battery, but pulling it each time the phone locks up will leed to the phone flying, never to return.
4..Im tired of viewing the hour glass app as the phone decides if its going to worl or not, I have two weeks warenty left and ruuning a up to date black berry operating system.

Aug 22, 2012I have a Blackberry Bold 9900 on AT&T and it for some strange reason starts to scroll on its own. It makes it very difficult to select anything when it does this. I did a battery pull several times and it still occurs.

Nov 19, 2010recently my lock button at the top hasn't be working properly, it will lock, but then won't unlock until he 10th push. Also the trackpad sometimes does not scroll up, only left and right. Also some of my letter/number keys (all the ones under the trackpad) haven't been working the first time I press them! Also the camera button isn't working sometimes, it clicks to take, but doesn't do the first mini click to focus. And lastly my ALT button hasn't been working sometimes. I've done reboots and it doesn't help. The wierd thing is, all the problems are intermittent.

Jul 15, 2012My Bold 9780 started having glitches a couple of months ago. The P & del buttons started doin weird stuff then one night the phone switched itself off. I had to do the taking the battery out thing to get it on but it continued to switch off. I searched the net and found a solution. I took the battery out for a while then gave it a long 24hr charge. This got the phone working again. I still had a few problems with the p but nothing to serious. Over the last week the problem with the p started to happen again and 2 nights ago the phone switched itself off again. I did exactly what I had done before and it worked but once the phone is on I cannot scroll the trackpad on the main screen which means i cant do anything. if i push a few buttons i can get onto the search screen and get onto the menu where the scroll works but if i get into certain apps like messenger it doesnt scroll again. it also has been switching itself on and off again. when it first started i could still connect it to the desktop software, now i cant even do that.

Dec 8, 2012My trackpad does not scroll but it works when pressed. It has been like this for about 4weeks.I have not dropped it or kept it near water.its just 2monthes old and I baby it so much.there is a tiny red light(I think its the infra-red)showing inside the trackpad so I think its not totally spoilt.since this problem started my phone takes too much time(about 10mins)to come up anytime I take out the battery.and most times the phone is slow in operating. It has worked twice during the 4weeks interval.the first time my battery was flat and I removed it from my phone then when I wanted to charge it came up at a normal time(1min)and was scrolling but stopped scrolling again in about 2mins while I was using it. The other time was wen my camera was not snapping and was giving me error message I removed the battery and put it back and it came up quickly and trackpad was scrolling. I noticed it was scrollin but I did not scroll it much after about 12mins I decided to check and it was still scrolling but when I continued to use it,it just stopped in about 1min.

Nov 26, 2011I have a Blackberry Bold 9930 with Verizon. About a month ago, I started experiencing this issue. When I receive texts, and there are multiple texts from the same number, the thext screen freezes and no matter what I do, I can not scroll UP to see the previous messages. Touch screen or the touch pad does not work. You can visibly see the time stamps changing to previous messages but the messages do not scroll at all. You can still exit text messages and all other scroll works fine. I have had to hard reboot to get rid of the issue. Then it returns after a week or so later. I have updated the software via VZ when they sent an operating systems update.

Trying to make a phone call, read text, email, or even just scrolling through apps is very difficult because the screen scrolls down to the very bottom very quickly. When I scoll back up, it scrolls right back to the bottom. When I'm not outside or a bright glare is not on the screen it works great.

Sep 14, 2011I have 3 mail accounts connected to my bb. Originally all posted to one folder messages folder in the message 'center' where all the sms etc go into (middle of the screen icon at the top) i am not sure what has started to happen but suddenly i then had 2 messages folders and now i have 3. They all go to the same place and sometimes contain the same message which just appears in all 3.
I think this started when i started configuring the sync of the deletion of the folders "folder reconciliation". how i can delete these additional folders as they are just a nuicense they mean very little as mail is randomly flowing into them.
BB Bold :: Missing Wifi Hop Spot Option On Bold 9900 On 0s 7?
Mar 7, 2012I had recently downloaded and installed the new os 7.1.0.267 os from SK Telecom form the software download page of on blackberry site to my bold 9900. Upon doing that i was able to access the new mobile hot spot feature and even set it up for use after calling my service provider for the APN which is Lime Jamaica. I even tested it by using another phone which detected it. However sometime afterwards about 30 minutes to an hour later while listening to music my headset got pull out by mistake and upon putting it back in realized music wouldn't start playing back after pressing the side button. Unlocked the phone only to see the play icon highlighted in music player but nothing wouldn't register when clicked with trackpad or touch screen. plus got a message on the screen saying that device media player was busy, which continued for a while. Did a battery pull afterwards which fixed the problem. However a few hours later when i decided to show a friend the new feature and test it by connecting his phone, upon accessing the connections menu the mobile hot spot option was missing even in networks and connections. essentially it disappeared form the phone the only apps on the phone besides the default ones was wikitude and whatsapps. Even after a factory reset it didn't return. Did a clean wipe of the os and installed the os again upon which the hot spot option returned only to disappear again after about a few minutes at which time no extra apps was insatlled just the default ones. Have no idea whats causing this and whats worse the 7.1.0.267 download has been removed from the Sk Telecom link.

Jan 22, 2012i got a 9900, just got the BIS from Vodafone NZ, but here is the thing...i can send and receive txt and call, even use bb internet brower to surf internet but i can not use BIS, like facebook, twitter etc also push mail.checked with Voda NZ, they said my phone is regist under another provider therefore i can not use it in voda but it is new one, im the first owner.

BB Bold :: Cant Seem To Get OS7.1 For 9900?
Jun 21, 2012I dont seem to be able to DL OS 7.1 for my bold 9900, I am based in South Africa and use Vodacom as my SP.I tried to update my software over the air this week but it tells me my software is up to date, yet my phone tells me that my software is version 7.0 Bundle 2406.
Is 7.1 not available in SA or over the Vodacom network?
I really want to upgrade as some of the features on 7.1 are what I am looking for.

Jul 20, 2012I bought 9900 7 months ago and phone has 3 years warranty. After ı used phone 4 months, One night, before sleeping, I plugged it to charger and went to sleep.Morning my mobile was dead. I took out the battery and the reput it. only red indicator was blinking.
- I tried to reinstall BBOS 7 but phone was not connecting to desktop software.
- I tried bbsak it also couldnt connect
- I tried to install OS with application ( after deleting vendor.xml file) loader, but when it comes to middle it gives " JVM couldnt be loaded "
Then I putted it into its box and went to warranty service. Warranty service took it for a week. Then they called me and said, You have your phone dropped and thats why your phones "mainboard" and "processor" has been damaged. So, it will cost 50 dollars for fix.I said, I didint drop the phone and there isnt anything visually damaged on the phone(It is same as new phone), On the other hand phone has warranty, so why should ı pay 50 dollars? because you have dropped your phone and it makes it out of warranty.
Then I gave 50 dollars and waited for a week. while waiting I realized something. what kind of "mainboard and processor cost 50 dollars? Isnt it very cheap? even impossible.
anyway they called me and said that " we couldnt repair your phone and your phone is dead Now, I really dont know what to do, and dont want to live it like that. Somehow I have to access to blackberry or RIM and explain my situation.
BUT HOW? I live in Georgia, I am Turkish and there is no official blackberry service in this country, So What can I do ?

Oct 8, 2011after updating my Bold 9900 tho Firmware 439 (I hope, it will work mith my BMW), I can´t power on the 9900 normally. It doesn´t react in any way, so I have to put out the battery and of course put it back . After that I can power on the device.
