Every time I turn my E72 on I get the message "Installing Applications from memory card". After a while it fails.I know I have to delete some files from the memory card to correct this but I forget which ones. Can someone help me?
View 4 Repliesi have just installed some apps/games from the ovi store. and after i restarted the phone it stayed on the (blue letters) NOKIA logo. no matter how many times i have removed/reinserted the battery it will always stay on the above mentioned logo.anything i could do beside from resetting the device with the 3 buttons sequence?should i take it directly to a Nokia care point to check it?i have two years warranty, is it possible to provide me with a new phone?Do you want to get all the firmware updates for your phone? Get a SIM-free one!It's so easy!

I am connecting my device via a usb cable, when the pc recognises the device it brings up the phone's folders (mass memory, phone memory, and media card) When I 'drag' the files from the folder in which they are contained in my pc to the phone I cannot 'drop' them as I get that pesky red circle with the red line through it.

When ever i try to install Qt apps on my phone, it ask me for installing the package but the installation stops during ' preparing installation' and does not go through ' finalising installation'. After this i does find the nokia smart installer icon but when i click on it, it says ' no installation pending'. I can also find the application in application manager but can't find its icon anywhere. Some Qt apps does install properly but many including wellness diary, nokia drop, etc doesn't install. My device is Nokia X6 16 GB and i have latest firmware and all Qt components installed on my device.

I haven't had the need to install any new apps for a while, but when I recently tried installing one, it failed. I've updated all software and there's enough space on the phone for the application(s) I wanted to install, yet it doesn't work.When I've purchased an application, it goes to install it, only to stop installing it after about 3-5 seconds without giving any notice or a reason why. I did a baterry pull, and took out the SIM Card and memory card, however it still seems to be stuck on the Network Provider's home screen.I had this issue last time, and I was advised from another forum to turn off the phone from the Off button on the phone, pull the battery and memory card, reinsert the battery without the memory card.This worked perfectly last time. Now, while the welcome screen is showing, if i press the off button, it will "Verify Security Software" and turn off.
Every time I try to install a java application on my wife's k800i I get the message 'operation failed'. I am sure I am doing things correctly because I do the same thing with my c902 and it works fine. Any ideas?

The last time I charged my N97 it just charged continuously without stopping when the battery was full. I didnt think too much of it, but during the same day the phone froze on me. Upon rebooting it stuck on the Nokia start-up screen and just stayed like that, the phone even started to get warm. I have since tried several times to switch it on but it stays stuck on the Nokia start-up screen. Oddly enough, when I removed the SD card and switched it on it worked! I have now tried to switch it on several times with the SD card inserted, no luck, without the card, no problem at all! This is obviously not the solution to remove the SD card each time I need to switch my phone on. Could this be a software problem? Has anybody had the same issue?

It's been plugged into the charger for over an hour and won't do anything, won't display the charging screen or start up. However when I do connect it to the computer my PC makes the "hardware connected" sound then the "hardware disconnected" sound immediately after, despite the device apparently being unpowered.

So the problem is - how can i re-install previously purchased applications in ovi store?I thought it will be easy way, however it doesn't. Despite the fact that all of my previously purchased apps appeared in "My Stuff" section in Ovi Store applications, i cant download it, they only offer me to buy it again, I tried to solve this problem using pc, i wanted to download apps to pc from ovi store website and then move to phone. But all i can do - send a link to phone, and there i was offered to buy app again. It's just shocking omission of Ovi Store, that repels future purchases.

The rest of the phone works fine, but I can't use Maps.
