Whenever I get a text message it would show the yellow mail icon the bottom of the screen but now whenever I get a text message it alerts me but that icon does not appear anymore, anyone know what's the problem?

I don't have any new messages, and I can't figure out what it is. How do I remove it? I have a bold 9700 with att.I"ve been researching the icon all night with no luck as to what it is.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox.It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all!
I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing
I can send this things. I know people have sent messages but can't access them. The menu key no longer shows "voice mail" when the icon indicates I have received a voice mail.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe Icon for text messages is not showing them. When I point to it I get "setup". The ONLY way I've been able to find my text messages is to go to "search", type in "tex" (no more because it mis directs me) then the icon with all the messages is there. I tried the BB button and do NOT get an option to move the folder. The ONLY way I've been able to find it is to use the specific search method as stated above. I've been working on the problem for 2 hours now since a friend told me via Facebook that she had sent me a text.

But when I receive an email and i read it in outlook or OWA the "new Mail icon" on my N97mini doesn't disappear. It shows that I have a new email but when I click on it there is no new email.The icon only disappears when i reboot my N97mini.

In the notification area (between the Profile icon and serach icon) where it shows the number of text messages, emails, missed calls etc, a symbol has appear that looks like the WiFi symbol but in yellow. Does any know what this notification icon means or where there is a complete list of icons on the web?

Very nice phone. took some time to get the messaging to work.But still I only receive the new e-mail sound, but no new e-mail icon is shown.Also I noticed that when I use the messaging screen will my phone is closed the icon's on top (like the sync icon) is not shown. When I open my phone(pull out the keyboard) the icons are shown.Does anybody has the same problem or know how to solve it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedProblem observed by me on any firmware version, I'm using actually v 50.0.005 in my 5800XM.If you have over 200 e-mails in your mailbox on server and you have downloaded them into the phone (even only e-mails headers) then icon in upper right corner (that envelope with @ sign) doesn't want disappear. Only phone turn off then turn on is solution which is not so funny.Any ideas? Magic spells? Wake up developers! This bug? is very irritating.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have new Nexus 6 with custom Recovery and rotted, stock 5.1 ROM.
I was just setting the phone up for the first time, when I had to reboot. Upon reboot, I was informed that my data was corrupt and I would have to reset my phone.
The factory reset process took around 1 hour. Now, I can't boot into the ROM. I am stuck on the four bouncing around coloured balls.
Accessing the Recovery Mode, shows a Android robot waggling its ears. This remains seemingly permanently. Eventually I press Home and the Volume buttons. This results in a blank screen with only the words "Formatting /data..." appearing on the bottom left of the screen in tiny yellow text, as in the below image:
This last for a long time before the Recovery options eventually appear.
Have I bricked my phone?
I have a yellow phone icon with an arrow pointing right on my homescreen. The icon does not appear as a notification. I would like to get rid of this. This is my homescreen, the icon is in the top-left corner
