All of a sudden I have a yellow star icon on the home page - in the same place as where you get notifiactions of emails, texts, etc. I have no idea what it is or where it came from. It appears over night while I was not using the phone.

In the notification area (between the Profile icon and serach icon) where it shows the number of text messages, emails, missed calls etc, a symbol has appear that looks like the WiFi symbol but in yellow. View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8530 and downloaded the FB upgrade last week. I cannot stop the notifications icon from showing up on my homepage. I have gone through the options and removed the checks from the boxes for:
Blackberry Calendar Application
Blackberry Messages Application
Blackberry Contacts Application
Facebook Notifications
And I have turned off the Email Notifications.I have pulled the battery, rebooted, deleted the application, reinstalled the application....nothing keeps me from being notified about notifications.
I have blackberry curve 8520 and the envelope message icon from the homepage has gone missing. I still get new message alerts, but there is no envelope icon to browse when you turn on the phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated to 5.1.1. I use handcent and now when I get a text message it shows the normal icon as it is coming through, but then it just goes to a star icon. If I pull down the menu, it shows the normal icon. After doing some research I found something that says it is interruption mode, but my phone does not have anything in settings or by pressing the volume button doesn't give those options either. How to remove the star icon? I have different icons set up for different people and I would like to be able to look at the notification bar to see who it is from without having to swipe down.
