Aug 29, 2015Somehow, I lost the telephone icon that appears on my homepage. I had to do a factory reset and somehow or another, that phone icon disappeared. How to restore the icon?

Jul 14, 2015I got a Galaxy S6 Edge a couple of weeks ago. Everything was as it should be until a few days ago. The phone icon went missing and it's not listed with in the apps area/drawer. However, when I check under Application Manager, its shows three phone applications which seem to be dupes. They can't be uninstalled or disabled. I've done force close and restarted the phone but no luck. I'm using Nova Launcher. I just got the the phone set-up the way I wanted so the the thought of a factory reset makes me queasy.

Jun 25, 2010I have a Curve 8530 and downloaded the FB upgrade last week. I cannot stop the notifications icon from showing up on my homepage. I have gone through the options and removed the checks from the boxes for:
Blackberry Calendar Application
Blackberry Messages Application
Blackberry Contacts Application
Facebook Notifications
And I have turned off the Email Notifications.I have pulled the battery, rebooted, deleted the application, reinstalled the application....nothing keeps me from being notified about notifications.

Jan 18, 2013I think my phone updated when I turned on WIFI and this morning the call or phone icon has gone from my main menu, use to sit with the messaging and email icons etc, can receive calls and make calls via the car option and even from messaging, but no dialer and contact list.

May 31, 2010A few days ago I performed the recent update to my 9530 Storm. Things work a lot smoother and faster, which is great, however I notice my Music icon has disappeared since then. And not just gone, but COMPLETELY gone! I have no desktop icon for music, nor is it located under my Media icon. Actually, it is not located anywhere under any folder in the entire device. I know that my music is still somewhere in there, however, as I can access them (begrudgingly) by doing the following: Media --> *Blackberry button* --> Explore --> Media Card --> Blackberry --> Music And there they are! So, my question is this: HOW do I get the shortcut to appear on my main page, as well as under the Media icon, again?

For some reason it is listed in my apps when I go to settings, but the icon is no where to be found so I can't ever open it! I use poynt a lot and it uses bb maps to map out my travel, but I can't just open bb maps to do my own route with an address. What is the deal? However, it is listed as running when you select "Manage Apps." Doing a force stop, then rebooting unit does not restore the icon, even though it is listed as launch by default. Technically, app is "Phone", version 4.0.4-67.21.125. How can I restore it? (Workaround - select People, then small icon phone/dialpad.)

I've looked under the help section in Chrome, but there instructions to change my homepage don't show the same settings that I have on my phone. What Chrome shows me is to go to "Settings, under Appearance check the box "Show Home Page' button, click change, On my phone I have 3 vertical dots and I select Settings, then there is "Home Page (off or on), click on that there is a box for default and I click the large dot at the top of the screen for on or off and the url is showing: sprint.com.How do I change that?

Jan 7, 2015Every time I have to use my Samsung galaxy S5, press the home button to restore the desktop screen and swipe to open, a message appears telling me about a battery saving app or something else then opens a webpage to buy or download an app.
I've tried CCleaner and Avast to get rid of it but they do not find anything.
I would have to press the return button several times to get back to my home-screen.

Jan 6, 2010I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?

Feb 9, 2015I've had my Samsung Galaxy S5 (verizon) for about two months. I just ran into a problem where many of the icons are missing when I bring up twitter. For example, when I'm at my home page, if I look at the menu bar near the top of the page, I see the words ""Home", "Connect", "Discover", "Me", but the icons above each command are missing. Also, the avis in my feed are missing.
If I click on a specific tweet, then the poster's avi does appear, but the icons for retweet, reply, favorite, etc. are completely missing. However, if I touch the screen where they should be located, the commands do work.
Rebooting the phone (off/on) did not work. And this is not affecting any other apps that I have noticed.

I looked under Sounds and Notifications menu and in the phone app. After a google search I learned that many are having the same issue. So now I cannot set the minute beep or the vibrate when pickup, hangup notification and all the rest. Is there any way I can get them back?

Dec 15, 2015I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 on the EE network in the UK. I should have the option to use wifi calling but the option is not present in the settings menus. My phone was not originally supplied by the EE mobile provider, instead I purchased the phone which appears to have come from Italy and has the Italian mobile provider TIM (this is shown on the CSC code on the phone)
How to either change this CSC code to the UK one for EE or at least the generic one for UK specific firmware, or a way of somehow enabling the wifi calling feature - I did look this up but I can't edit the necessary system config (xml) files as they are read-only and my phone is not rooted.
