View 4 RepliesMy nexus 5 GPS used to work GREAT under kitkat. However, after the Lollipop OTA update the gps signal keeps dropping and I am not able to use any navigation system.
I did try the factory reset but it didnt work.
A friend of mine is also facing the exact same problem, we both have the 32GB model.
My girlfriend, however, has not faced any issue after the ota update (she has the 16GB model). Her GPS works great! Our basebands versions are exactly the same.
I really need the gps. I use it almost daily!
Since updating to lollipop i have had no mobile signal and the nfc icon keeps switching on and off. I have tried to hard reset my phone as will as factory reset and even reinstalled the firmware but to no avail. Tried putting another sim card in and still not working. everything was working fine on kitkat.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've started having a problem with my Moto X (2014) since upgrading to Lollipop (or shortly after). When I received a voicemail I cannot get rid of the notification unless I restart my phone.
I'm using my phone in the UK on the EE 4G network. I'm using Android 5.0 which is the latest update available.
Having read through advice given to others in this and other forums and spoken to Motorola customer support, I've tried the following:
1. Leaving myself an additional message, listening to it, deleting it. The new voicemail notification arrives but does not clear after deleting the message.
2. Rebooting to safe mode which clears the notification on the reboot, but once I have another voicemail the same thing happens again. This rules out one of my third party apps causing the problem.
3. Clearing all the app defaults.
I just upgraded to OS 5.1.1 on my iPhone 4S and now it tells me that I have no cellular service. !

does anyone know where I can download Windows 7 driver for LG SU-430 (code named Lollipop 2)?My sister-in-law is visiting from South Korea and she only brought the USB adapter. I plugged it into both my desktop and laptop running Windows 7 and it correctly identified the device as LG SU-430 but neither has the driver and as a result, she's unable to charge the phone.
I went to 5 different cell phone stores in a local shopping mall today to see if they have an AC adapter that fits this model but no such luck.
HTC sensation drops its cell phone signal suddenly, restarting with battery removed helps for few minutes only. Believe its the antenna connected to the panel. However,it works the same (drops after few minutes) when the cover is NOT ON, whereas I thought the cover including the back has the antenna and replacing cover helped few.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI live in an area that has no ATT service or any other service yet I use an iphone 4 with ATT service. My husband uses a T-mobile Android and while neither of us receive any cell signal, when our WIFI is on, my husband can receive and make phone calls with his cell phone. I on the other hand have not been able to figure out how the iphone may be able function in a similar way.

Can I disable the cell signal automatically on the unrooted nexus 6P?
I know I can pop it in airplane mode and then turn back on bluetooth & wifi but I want to automate this process so that when I'm at work it will toggle the cell radio off.
Sorry to add to the reception frenzy but I have a rather specific question I could't find an answer to in the existing threads. Is anyone able to replicate the dropped bars phenomenon (with their hand) in normally solid five bar location?
I am on business away from home and my wife shipped me my iPhone. I'm in Waycross, GA. There is no 3G here but the Edge signal is solid. The thing is, I can see the cell tower from my window! I am absolutely, positively, unable to replicate the reported signal problem with my 4. I've tried all sorts of positions with my hand. Stays at 5 bars.
BUT...I'm wondering if this is due to the fact I'm next door to a cell tower? Andy will I ever be able to have children again because I'm so close?
So far, this phone has been awesome. No yellow, no proximity issues and, so far (fingers crossed), no reception issues at all.
I have recently had a problem with my Blackberry 8520.I appear to have a little email icon with a red star showing on the left handside of the screem (usually where the answerphone message icon usually appears)however, I haven't got any new emails to read. My email boxes do not appear to have a little red star indicating I have new emails. All I have is a little baby icon in the top left hand corner.I have taken the battery and SIM card out of the phone, turned it on and off and still no luck.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden I have a yellow star icon on the home page - in the same place as where you get notifiactions of emails, texts, etc. I have no idea what it is or where it came from. It appears over night while I was not using the phone.
View 9 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated to 5.1.1. I use handcent and now when I get a text message it shows the normal icon as it is coming through, but then it just goes to a star icon. If I pull down the menu, it shows the normal icon. After doing some research I found something that says it is interruption mode, but my phone does not have anything in settings or by pressing the volume button doesn't give those options either. How to remove the star icon? I have different icons set up for different people and I would like to be able to look at the notification bar to see who it is from without having to swipe down.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn the new android lollipop the xperia z2 does not show the gps icon on the statusbar if location is on.
Previously it did on kitkat version. I have selected all message icons under system settings.
I have been having a problem with that fact that they moved the keyboard change icon from the notification bar are to the lower right bottom corner each time you open to type something. Â I am the kind that likes to use the one handed keyboard coz i swype but now ican't. I am find it really difficult because everytime am writing something, Â the inside of my palm taps this poorly located icon, i know am not the only one, this icon should have been left where it was before not move.Â
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased the Moto X second edition unlocked pure version, from Motorola web site. For a month I was able to run on KitKat without any issues. After I have upgraded to Lollipop (5.0) I am seeing an exclamation point next to the data icon. Sometimes it takes a minute sometimes maybe 5 minutes to be able to use my data plan and access the internet!
There were situations when I could not even make a call. When switching to WIFi mode I am able to use the phone to full capability. It is just when I am trying to use my carrier's network when I have a problem. It is not related to the amount of data available, it reacts the same when I am at 100mba or 4 Gba.
When I switch between users, from main user to another user on my phone the flight mode icon is lost from expanding notification bar(or quick settings bar; beside WiFi and Bluetooth icon). I need to restart the device to get it back.
My device: Xperia Z3 Dual, Android Lollipop 5.1.1 .
I just got the LG290C from Tracfone. I’m confused as to how the signal strength is displayed via the icon at the top. In the pictures and video I reviewed before purchasing it appears that the icon is represented as the typical 5 bar icon with the strength indicated by the number of green colored bars. Is this correct? On the phone I recieved the icon displays as 5 white bars, never any green filler. So I’m not sure if the display is faulty or there is no green and I am getting 5 bars reception indicated by white bars. Note so far the signal strength display has not varried from the 5 white bars icon in the areas traveled so far..
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo on kitkat i had the voicemail icon stuck. i use google voice, and i think this is just a standard verizon voicemail icon. I've checked and there are no new voicemails.
I figured when i upgraded to lollipop it would go away. well guess what, it didn't. so i did a factory reset, and now it's back.
I found that by deleting the data and wiping the cache on one of the 4 phone apps, i'm able to get rid of it, but then when i reset the device it comes back.
So I made the leap from my iPhone 5S to the Icon on Friday and I'm enjoying it thus far. One thing I've noticed; however, is that the Verizon Network signal strength isn't nearly as good and I'm not sure if there's a way to reset it or others can confirm. For example at my house, where I always had 3-4 bars of LTE with my iPhone 5s and the 5 before it - I now can only get 2 with the Icon.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy 4s shows that I am connected to wi-fi and have a full signal, however it is not actually connecting to anything; safari, apps, can't send email, can't 'see' phone on my mobile phone tracker etc.
I tried reseting the network connections, which did solve the problem but literally only for a few minutes. So frustrating.
Has anyone got a permanant solution to this problem? All relevant software is bang up to date. The phone itself is brand new, only 1 day old.
Please help!

I've seen than HTC phones with similar features than Nokia or Motorola cell phones for instance are cheaper.. Why is that?? For instance HTC Touch Viva is cheaper than Nokia 5800, Nokia 6790 or Motorola MOTOZINE ZN5... Why is that? What are HTC phones disadvantages compared with other brands phones?
