On my 6500 slide (2 years old), my Outlook meeting reminders only produced a short beep and then it was silent again. On my new 6700, it keeps beeping until I cancel it.
Does anyone know how to tell it to only beep once?
I can only choose standard ringtone for reminder alarm, sohow can i choose a song as ringtone for reminder alarm?

I have a problem in setting ring tone and message tone.When i trying to set ringing tone or message alert tone in the Profiles(General) it showing an error message as "Not enough memory to show all ringing tones. only tones in read only memory will be displayed". But my phone memory has 50.1 MB free space and My memory card has 1.2 GB memory space.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've just transfered to the o2 simplicity contract where I supply my own phone.The phone is an ex Orange 6500 slider (my ex works phone) which was unlocked in the local shopping centre and is approx 2 years old.I can send mms's ok but if someone sends them to me I get t text saying i have to view them on-line.I've tried to send myself the mms / wap settings several times via the o2 website / via texting the 2020 number but each time they come through the text calls them Orange World.I've emailed o2 & they say i'm all set to accept them but there's obviously a issue my end with the phone. I'm trying to get into town to speak to o2 & Nokia shops personally but won't be able to for a couple of weekends!Any thoughts please people?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought a "new" nokia 6500 from ebay and when I received it I realized that there was a space from the keypad to the housing itself. when the keypad light is on you can see light from behind the keypad, I don't think this is an authentic nokia housing. I think the ebay shop switched the housing to a fake ebay housing. Is there any other way to tell if its a fake housing?

I then switched the one back on and the start up screen worked fine but then after that it the screen goes white then it fades to black and switches of (kinda pixel like switch off). View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had the 'Nokia 6500 slide' a year and a half, and have never managed to use my dictionary. Every time I try to open it it says.
'Vocabulary files not found or unavailable' - Vocabulary memory card not found or not functioning. Two ways to fix it:
1. download files to local PC from www.nokia-asia.com/vocabulary and then copy them to "Dictionary" folder of memory card.
2 Copy preinstalled files from CD rom into Dictionary folder in memory
I've already tried download the files, putting the extracted 2 files in the dictionary file in PC Suite and still the dictionary doesn't work, and that annoying message comes on. I haven't read the CD rom because I don't know where I put it. How to install my dictionary?
When I sync my diary and tasks with Outlook 2003 and my N85 using OVI Suite the reminders get removed so thye no longer appear in the reminders window. Is there a setting I can change to solve this?

I never want an alarm, and it is a pain to have to disable the alarm for every meeting I create. I silenced a reminder using the "silent" button and now some reminders are silent. The phone's display flashes but no audible alert. I've checked the profile and it defiantly has a setting enabled for an audible reminder. Any ideas?The alarms are perfect.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I have a calendar reminder pop up and my key lock is on, the phone doesn't allow me to either stop or snooze the alarm.I can understand that, but what I can't understand is that I cannot remove the key lock. When I move the slider at the side the key lock doesn't come off.As a consequence of this the reminder keeps going off every 5 minutes unless I have got the key lock off before this happens.

Its driving me nuts can I switch that off?

To-Do alarm rings only once. Any time I miss a To-Do alarm there is no way that it reminds me again that I missed it until I check my Calender. There should be something like repeatedly ringing every 5 minutes till we respond.
I need to appoint business which should proceed in a current of several days in calendar E7. I want to receive reminders each three hours while business will not come to the end. If I press the button to repeat during the next reminder, phone repeats a reminder in 5 minutes. How to make, that the repeated reminder has occurred in 3 hours?

I have searched the internet for a solution, tried software updating, resetting to factory settings etc but nothing seems to do the trick.
