Nokia :: 6500 Meeting Reminder Endless Tone
Feb 13, 2010On my 6500 slide (2 years old), my Outlook meeting reminders only produced a short beep and then it was silent again. On my new 6700, it keeps beeping until I cancel it.
Does anyone know how to tell it to only beep once?

I have a problem in setting ring tone and message tone.When i trying to set ringing tone or message alert tone in the Profiles(General) it showing an error message as "Not enough memory to show all ringing tones. only tones in read only memory will be displayed". But my phone memory has 50.1 MB free space and My memory card has 1.2 GB memory space.

Xseries :: X3-02 Ringtone And SMS Tone Always On "Ascending"?
Nov 11, 2010I just got my X3-02 a week ago. One thing i'm rather irritated by is that the ringtone and SMS tone seem to be always on ascending. i did not set it to ascending. my volume is at level 5.what happens is that it will ring for about 4-5 seconds at a lower volume and then after 5 seconds, the volume suddenly becomes loud enough. Is there a way to remove this peculiar "feature?" I understand that some of the older 6XXX phones have this same problem too. Will a software update solve it? I'm currently on version 5.60

Mar 11, 2010I have an E72 and love it. Just a question, I regularly sync my calender using the Nokia PC Suite and it works well. I silenced a reminder using the "silent" button and now some reminders are silent. The phone's display flashes but no audible alert. I've checked the profile and it defiantly has a setting enabled for an audible reminder. Any ideas?The alarms are perfect.

Mar 23, 2010When I have a calendar reminder pop up and my key lock is on, the phone doesn't allow me to either stop or snooze the alarm.I can understand that, but what I can't understand is that I cannot remove the key lock. When I move the slider at the side the key lock doesn't come off.As a consequence of this the reminder keeps going off every 5 minutes unless I have got the key lock off before this happens.

Oct 13, 2011After the recent update on my N8 every morning when I turn it on the Ovi register/login/later reminder comes up and won't go away till I respond, I don't want to have that every time and I don't want to wait while it goes through the 'oh you don't want to? oh I will try to connect anyway' routine.
Its driving me nuts can I switch that off?

Jul 1, 2010On main page in Active Standby, it shows all To-Dos as pending including those from future as well, like it will say 10 pending tasks while actually 2 are pending while 8 are still from some future date. This was not an issue with my earlier 6120.
To-Do alarm rings only once. Any time I miss a To-Do alarm there is no way that it reminds me again that I missed it until I check my Calender. There should be something like repeatedly ringing every 5 minutes till we respond.

Feb 17, 2012I got a N8 with Nokia Belle. When I missed an event in my Calendar, there is a "Missed reminder" in the pull down menu. But when I click on this entry, I get the message "Calendar: Memory full. Please close some applications and try again." This happens even when the phone is just restarted. There are no additional tasks in background.

Jun 14, 2010So the 'Normal' profile of my 9700 (Phone) is set up to play ALWAYS simply because it is on my desk in the office, it is not in the holster, and I want to hear when it rings.
I also have a ring tone that I downloaded (not the default).I noticed that when the phone is in the holster and it rings, as soon as I take it out from the holster the ring tonne changes from the one I set up to the default AT&T ring tone.

Jun 26, 2010This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.

Apr 2, 2010My E72 suddenly does not vibrate or gives out a tone upon receiving a SMS.I checked the profile I used and the vibration and message tone were checked.I tried restoring the phone to factory settings but the problem still persist.Not sure where the problem lies though. When people call me, my phone does vibrate and the ring tone plays.but if I remember correctly, the notification light may or may not work at times when receiving an sms and the screen does not lit up upon receiving it too (if I'm correct, not sure now since I didn't notice when the problem occurs). This only applies when receiving SMSes.

Apr 23, 2010I have the N86 8MP, I can't fault the phone other than the ring tone problem that I have tried to live with from when I got the phone in December. I don't know if anybody else has had this problem or its just me, but when my phone rings the ring tone slows down like a broken record and then speeds up and slows down again. Whatever I chose to be my ring tone either one from the phone or one I have put on it, it still has this problem. The funny thing is you can play the songs or ring tone's and they play normaly its only when you set them as a ring tone does the problem occur.
