After the recent update on my N8 every morning when I turn it on the Ovi register/login/later reminder comes up and won't go away till I respond, I don't want to have that every time and I don't want to wait while it goes through the 'oh you don't want to? oh I will try to connect anyway' routine.
Its driving me nuts can I switch that off?
I got a N8 with Nokia Belle. When I missed an event in my Calendar, there is a "Missed reminder" in the pull down menu. But when I click on this entry, I get the message "Calendar: Memory full. Please close some applications and try again." This happens even when the phone is just restarted. There are no additional tasks in background.

When I try to sign in a window appears with: Error occurred An unrecoverable error occurred. It might help to reboot device. But it does not! On my PC however I can easily log in.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have latest Nokia Ovi Suite vs. 3.0.0.290 on my PC (XP SP3) and desktop Nokia Ovi Suite keeps giving me the following error every time I try to Sign into Ovi
"Could not sign in. Nokia Ovi Suite could not connect to the Nokia account server. Make sure the internet connection is working properly and try again."
My internet is connected! I manually sign into Ovi.com with no problem. No proxies or anything like that. I have repaired and re-installed the Nokia Ovi Suite on my PC several times and updated expired certificates as was recommended in some threads here. Still no luck! it used to work like a charm before
My wife accidently going through her contacts went to the very top where there's a drop down menu for Phone or Contacts. It went to Contacts. Now whenever she goes to her contacts a message pops up saying Sign In or Sign Up to OVI. She's been on the phone now with Nokia for 2 hours trying to resolve.Anyone out there have any ideas?
And by the way, are other brands of phones this bad, what with setting up loops like this can't be broken. Or, like what I've read here and elsewhere, all the problems with the Lock Code? I mean, it seems Nokia needs to go back to the drawing board and work on their user interface.
Does anyone know what address the sign in page takes you too? When i click sign in it comes up with an error "COULD NOT SIGN IN" ."NOKIA OVI SUITE COULD NOT CONNECT TO THE NOKIA ACCOUNT SERVER. I silenced a reminder using the "silent" button and now some reminders are silent. The phone's display flashes but no audible alert. I've checked the profile and it defiantly has a setting enabled for an audible reminder. Any ideas?The alarms are perfect.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I have a calendar reminder pop up and my key lock is on, the phone doesn't allow me to either stop or snooze the alarm.I can understand that, but what I can't understand is that I cannot remove the key lock. When I move the slider at the side the key lock doesn't come off.As a consequence of this the reminder keeps going off every 5 minutes unless I have got the key lock off before this happens.

View 18 Replies View RelatedOn main page in Active Standby, it shows all To-Dos as pending including those from future as well, like it will say 10 pending tasks while actually 2 are pending while 8 are still from some future date. This was not an issue with my earlier 6120.
To-Do alarm rings only once. Any time I miss a To-Do alarm there is no way that it reminds me again that I missed it until I check my Calender. There should be something like repeatedly ringing every 5 minutes till we respond.
On my 6500 slide (2 years old), my Outlook meeting reminders only produced a short beep and then it was silent again. On my new 6700, it keeps beeping until I cancel it.
Does anyone know how to tell it to only beep once?
I need to appoint business which should proceed in a current of several days in calendar E7. I want to receive reminders each three hours while business will not come to the end. If I press the button to repeat during the next reminder, phone repeats a reminder in 5 minutes. How to make, that the repeated reminder has occurred in 3 hours?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay i've had my Nokia n97 for more than 6months now and its been working great except lately my facebook app wasn't working and i had to update it,so last night i backed up my files on my mobile and i connected it to the pc and updated it with the program that the mobile brings with a cd it was okay then i went back to restore my files and it said it had to restart so it turned off and i went to turn it on again and it stayed a blank screen with the nokia sign in the middle in blue (when you turn it on it that usually shows) but it stayed stuck there it doesn't go to pin code nor anything, and to turn it off i have to take the battery off,

If I click the Icon I get my TalkTalk network described as "known" rather than "Connected". In Connectivity the network is described as "available". In Connectivity Manager there is "no active connection." Am I flapping over nothing or is my battery being eaten up? Oh yes, there is no padlock to the icon when in this condition unlike when connected. Cheers Tim
