I would like to copy all my contacts from my phone on to a computer so that I can open them on outlook and excel.
I have the USB cable, I also have the latest Nokia PC Suite Software. However, when It tries and copies the contacts it states refreshing of contacts failed?
I need to move/copy contacts from my Nokia 6500 to bb 8220 pearl , i already downloaded the bb desktop software.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my new phone (Lumia 900) today and so far I love it! I transferred my music via Zune but when my old phone an N900 died I copied my contacts list onto my laptop. I have a folder of vCard files which I want to put on my new phone. I have connected via the USB cord but the phone doesn't appear on the list of drives etc. in windows explorer. For some reason it appears in devices and drivers, but I can't drag an drop into it. What I need is a similar thing to the sync option in Zune. To be clear this is my list of phone contact numbers only, not email etc.

I then switched the one back on and the start up screen worked fine but then after that it the screen goes white then it fades to black and switches of (kinda pixel like switch off). All it shows is the date at the top left hand side of the screen.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had the 'Nokia 6500 slide' a year and a half, and have never managed to use my dictionary. Every time I try to open it it says.
'Vocabulary files not found or unavailable' - Vocabulary memory card not found or not functioning. Two ways to fix it:
1. download files to local PC from www.nokia-asia.com/vocabulary and then copy them to "Dictionary" folder of memory card.
2 Copy preinstalled files from CD rom into Dictionary folder in memory
I've already tried download the files, putting the extracted 2 files in the dictionary file in PC Suite and still the dictionary doesn't work, and that annoying message comes on. I haven't read the CD rom because I don't know where I put it. How to install my dictionary?
I am having a really hard time copying my contacts from my Blackberry, on to my computer. I am using DM 5.0 with the sync feature, and I chose the address book destination to my Outlook express but upon syncing it defaults to the generic Windows Address book. But I get a fail message, that Address book is not available.
I tried it both on XP and Vista but it wont budge. No contacts get copied over.
my 6500 slide shows me "Camera on standby" when i try to launch the camera. The message remains on the screen until i press exit and i am unable to use the camera.
I have searched the internet for a solution, tried software updating, resetting to factory settings etc but nothing seems to do the trick.
Is it possible to get the camera to work again without tampering with the hardware (As described here: http://repair-mobiles.com/6500-camera-operation-failed/) ?

Old phones were simple copy to sim! I have tried mail for exchange but unfortunately this has never worked for me on the N900 I always get same error message re contacting the server! I would really like to be able to use the same contacts on my new phone to save me having to input by hand.

I tried to send them using Bluetooth but they received as messages; so I have 800 contacts that means I received 800 messages. It obvious that it will take a huge time to open each message (or business card) and then save it to my new phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI get an error when trying to add or edit a contact. It says "SIM card error" followed by "Contacts: already in use". The change is then not visible in contacts, ie no new contact can be seen and no changes have been made. The contact is only updated when I turn the phone off then on again. Obviously this is not a practical solution so is there any other more permanent solution?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have put my sim card containing all my contact numbers into my 6700 slide. However, I can't seem to access the numbers now. When I go to Menu > contacts, under the 'Phone' contacts I have nothing, and yet when I change to 'Contacts' it changes to the 'Ovi' menu. I can't remember how to get back to the menu to chose Sim contacts. For some reason, I can't seem to copy over my SIM contact to my phone, I've been through every menu and there's nothing. I've even taken the sim out and put it back into my old phone and all the numbers are showing but I just can't seem to access them at all when putting back into my new nokia. I"m worried that I'm going to have to write them all out and recreate them all manually, surely there's a better way than this?

The screen on my E66 recently broke as a result, I can't see anything that I'm doing. Even worse, I have about 200 contacts that I need transfered to my new phone (Nokia actually).To do this, I want to copy my contacts to the SIM card.
