does anyone know the best program for twitter on my Nokia 6500 slide phone? with Opera Mini i can read other tweets (though log in is bad), but i can not tweet anything. i just uploaded uTweetMe and it works. But I guess just for my tweets. Perhaps there is a better program (4 free) for Twitter?

I'm having problems turning it on the white nokia screen it comes on momentarily (no handshake) and then it goes off and nothing happens? Battery was half charged when I switched it off due to no ceverage and haven't been able to switch it back on.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just transfered to the o2 simplicity contract where I supply my own phone.The phone is an ex Orange 6500 slider (my ex works phone) which was unlocked in the local shopping centre and is approx 2 years old.I can send mms's ok but if someone sends them to me I get t text saying i have to view them on-line.I've tried to send myself the mms / wap settings several times via the o2 website / via texting the 2020 number but each time they come through the text calls them Orange World.I've emailed o2 & they say i'm all set to accept them but there's obviously a issue my end with the phone. I'm trying to get into town to speak to o2 & Nokia shops personally but won't be able to for a couple of weekends!Any thoughts please people?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought a "new" nokia 6500 from ebay and when I received it I realized that there was a space from the keypad to the housing itself. when the keypad light is on you can see light from behind the keypad, I don't think this is an authentic nokia housing. I think the ebay shop switched the housing to a fake ebay housing. Is there any other way to tell if its a fake housing?

I then switched the one back on and the start up screen worked fine but then after that it the screen goes white then it fades to black and switches of (kinda pixel like switch off). Cause lately I've had many problems with all my recent phones, so in the market at this country the only ones available are Nokia 5130, Nokia 5000 and Nokia 6500 classic. There are other but i don¡t want a phone fold nor slide.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had the 'Nokia 6500 slide' a year and a half, and have never managed to use my dictionary. Every time I try to open it it says.
'Vocabulary files not found or unavailable' - Vocabulary memory card not found or not functioning. Two ways to fix it:
1. download files to local PC from www.nokia-asia.com/vocabulary and then copy them to "Dictionary" folder of memory card.
2 Copy preinstalled files from CD rom into Dictionary folder in memory
I've already tried download the files, putting the extracted 2 files in the dictionary file in PC Suite and still the dictionary doesn't work, and that annoying message comes on. I haven't read the CD rom because I don't know where I put it. How to install my dictionary?
Ok so I read the webpage on how to root the Aria. I am still clueless to how to do it though.How do you get the one program on a sd card, where do I get that program?Can anyone help me out. I want to get some of this ATT bloatware off of the phone to clear up some space and also to maybe overclock it safely.

I have searched the internet for a solution, tried software updating, resetting to factory settings etc but nothing seems to do the trick.

A couple of days ago the Nokia Map 3.0 program just failed to start.
Earlier the same day it worked fine. But suddenly just the startscreen loads and disappears. I've tried to reinstall the map program. I've tried to reset the phone to the original factory settings, but the problem persists.
In this process I have lost most of my settings for voip, email, and more, so now it is less work to buy a new, non-nokia phone, than to get this **bleep** set up again. Both the N85 and N82 have been very unstable and with poor support from nokia.
Of course this happened at the most inconvenient moment, for Nokia, since I'm about to buy new phones for my family. I hope I can get a good answer from Nokia, on how I can get the map and phone working again.
Is there any program for Mac and Nokia N97 mini to handle and send sms and such on screen, as can be done with PC Suite on PC? I tried Fonelink but it doe not wotk with N97.

I use Swiss Manager to try and terminate Maps but it does not terminate. Only solution is to switch off phone and switch on again. Should I delete and reload Maps?

And now register that the e-mail program simply cuts sentences and words in e-mails I send from my PC. Sometimes the text is not displayed at all.
I send email from Thunderbird (v.17.0, released: November 20, 2012). And I've tried different settings for the format I send e-mails without success. When I send from a hotmail account or gmail account from the internet, there are no problems.
Hour ago, I had E7 running firmware 25.007. All features were running fine including Maps application. Under Menu - Apps - Program updates, I found new Nokia Maps application (Nokia Kartat). Selected and let it update.After successfull installation, my Maps application does not launch at all. If selecting Maps (Kartat in my Finnish localised phone) or Drive (Aja), the phone just popups an error 'Maps: Device does not support function' (Kartat: Laite ei tue toimintoa). Damn, how can I get my Maps app back?
