i have firmware 40.0.005 installed on my 5800. While playing radio all of a sudden radio stops responding. I can kill the radio application but have to restart the phone everytime. Otherwise radio doesnot work.

I also got it checked up/repaired from the authorised Noke Care Centre.The problem still persists.. I may add that I have also reinstalled/update software from Net, but still the problem has not been solved.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSince my E71 was updated to the latest firmware (at a Nokia Service Center) around 6 months ago I have had a number of odd mail problems, which manifest themselves as follows: After an initial boot everything with mail and messaging works fine as expected. However at least once or twice a day the phone switches unpredictably into an odd mode with the following symptoms:
1) E-Mail key stops responding to short or long presses.
2) New e-mails and sms messages which arrive do not appear on the home screen as usual, though they may (or may not) appear as small icons in the top right corner of the screen............
My nokia 5800 Express music V40 go into no-response mode frequently. Means no outgoing calls possible and incoming callers say getting message "phone switched off". After switch off and re-start, functioning normal again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy 1520 has been driving me nuts lately. I'll be using it and then it was start going crazy. For example, I'll be watching a video and suddenly it will start vibrating as is I'm hitting the navigation keys and it will act as if someone has hit the back button a few times, then the home button, and then Cortana. It always freezes after this and I either have to wait 10 minutes or so to get the touch screen or navigation buttons to respond (volume, camera and lock button all work fine), or I have to soft reset the phone. Sometimes I can go a few hours and be fine, sometimes it will start doing this every 10 minutes.
It started doing it shortly after I got the 8.1 update, so I thought it may be related. I did a hard reset and then used the Nokia recovery tool and am still having the problems.
Is there an Internet Radio app. (streaming) for the Nokia 5800? I know it's got FM 'built in' but I can only pick up about 3 stations clearly.....
View 4 Replies View RelatedGreat job here by Nokia on this update.Until now I detected one possible bug.When we opens the radio, on the others firmware, when RDS was available the name of the station appears automatically, now it doesn't appear.
Couple of months back I upgrade my Nokia 5800 to V40. After that, i have started having peculiar problem with the FM Radio. Radio plays fine. but when I keep switching the different saved stations, at one point it just HANGS. No keys on my phone hands free work and the only option left for me would be remove the battery and reboot the phone.

When I goto Radio it gets hanged instantly only option I have is to click on red button or menu button, but radio app keeps running in back ground. When I tried to turn on my Bluetooth I gets a error message 'Unable to perform Bluetooth Operation'. When I got to Albums and tried to send any music file via Bluetooth I get a message 'Unable to connect'. I had already tries hard resetting and re-installing firmware through OVI suite, but I am still facing this problem.

When i try to capture a photo i noticed that gps is not available notification. But when i close my camera option my phone show that gps is available. I also check the settings. View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia 5800 was dropped on the floor from a distance .. within few days whenever i receive a call .. i touch the green arrow to answer the call but its like i'm not doing anything , it works only if i pressed the keylock from the side, and when i make a call i can't use call option if only i pressed the keylock from the side .. its like my nokia doesn't know that i'm here and touching the screen if i only pressed the keylock from the side .. everything work good after doing that .. just the problem appears when i receive a call, make call, stopping the alarm .. they all want me to press the side keylock then i can start working.. i need help because its confusing me.i've been told to turn the sensor setting on, remove the memory , reset , upgrade , but nothing solve the issue , i'm waiting your replay guys.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI listen to the phone's FM radio a lot and and play some of my music, and that side of it is important for me. I have a few different earpieces/buds including a couple of SE's that have come with various phones, All was fine yesterday, but this morning I went to listen to some music and the sound was barealy audible - it was playing, but through the earpieces it was extremely feint. Plays fine through the speaker however. I tried six different earpieces, one that came with the phone so is known to be compatible, one that came with my second phone an X10 mini, and two that are generic but work fine with the Ray, and they all had barely-audible sound the same.
I tried the same earphiones with the X10 mini, and all work fine so the earphones are all functioning perfectly.I downloaded a free music player app to test a new installation/registry/files/whatever, but same results. So I suspected a software fault, and did a factory reset (yes, it is that important to me) but still with the same result.BUT that was when I noticed ... when recreating a couple of things again I brought up the FM radio to have it scan for stations as the reset left it empty. Although it recognised that the earpiece/aerial was connected ok there was no movement of the scanning progress-bar/window and then it closed down leaving the tuning-scale on screen but no stations ... I could manually swipe up and down the tuning scale no problem, however no stations were heard/found/registered.
I repeated the 'empty' radio on the X10 mini so I could test the earpiece/aerial function, and when then retuning-in it found all the stations in a heartbeat with both SE earpoeces - I didn't bother to repeat it any further with the others, no point.It is easy to suspect the earpieces until they play the music fine on the other phone and also scan/play FM radio channels... and it is also easy to suspect the phono/wire/connection until you realise that they are transmitting the played music just not at a listenable volume without straining... and also i is easy to think the aerial-function is faulty and it doesn't interface, until on another phone it grabs plenty of channels in its scan in just moments It hasn't been dropped or in water or anything, just worked yesterday evening then not this morning and it was only on my bedside table overnight.
I am still happily on Gingerbread, haven't bothered to go to ICS, not that fusssed about it TBH - so it hasn't been caused in an upgrade/incompatibility problem with ICS.I actually did upgrade to ICS hoping this might cure it, but it was exactly the same then too!So I flashed the phone back to GB (Flashtool+appropriate .ftf), but still it was exactly the same - very low sound and no station search/reset And that's where it has stopped at now.i am thinking I have missed something blindingly obvious, but now I am too close to figure that out anyway, plus also am undoubtedly in need of someone expert.
I recently added a few new cydia programs including infiniboard and infinidock. Now the bottom half of my keyboard totally stops working, but the problem can be fixed by respringing or restarting the device. I restored the device to its original settings and I have not been able to recreate the problem, so I assume it lies with something I recently installed. Does anybody know what program might be causing this?Ok, so on my totally clean device where I have only jailbroken and installed infiniboard and infinidock, I now see the following when I go to the search page on the springboard. View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to the latest version (23.1.A.1.28), sometimes during using the phone it suddenly stops responding starting from the home button then the desktop icons & the app drawer also don't respond and can't even switch to other home screen pages.
After restarting the phone, it works fine for some hours and then it happens again. This happens at least twice a day.
I tried repairing by pcc and the same problem returned again. This never happened on Kitkat. Is this a common issue (should I flash kitkat to solve it)?
This happens without me even using the app. In fact I think it only happens when I'm not using the app. Is this a know issue with the app and the S6? I'm on AT&T carrier.

I have to do a physical battery pull and then it starts working again. I thought maybe it is a software issue and upgraded to the official 7.0.0.592 yesterday however the problem still remains the same.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two folders shared on my home PC (Intel C2D 3.0 / Win7 / 4GB RAM / 768kbps upload DSL). When I login to the web interface and try to play various things I notice a couple problems.
Fast forwarding through videos sometimes (even on the same file) doesn't work (and once displayed some cryptic error if I see it I'll update this post) Going to > Music > Songs sometimes loads all of my files (5,000 files) or sometimes loads 400 initially and stops. Clicking on another tab like Music > Files shows the PC is offline, then clicking back it is back online again. The zumocast.exe client on the PC stopped responding. I had been trying to play files on a remote PC when it stopped working then I came home and tried to go to the configuration to see if it was responding but it wasn't.
It seems like the client gets lost when trying to buffer things, it needs some sort of reset command when activity slows or maybe the web interface should be able to send a stop/start to the client. It seems like a TCP/IP issue with the host program. Perhaps the web interface should prompt the user when loading large directories. E.G if files are more than 500, show a pop up prompt in browser "show more?"
Running stock and last few days tunein just stops as it's streaming and I have to go back into the app and press play again. Always happens when screen is off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry randomly stops responding on different applications, and then i have to hold the menu button and switch to a different application, and i won't be able to use the un-responsive application until the blackberry is given a hard reset. Also during this time, my BBM will mess up, It won't show me peoples display pictures, it will show that their there when im in a conversation or over their name, but as soon as i go onto their profile or enlarge their image it will freeze, it will not let me send or recieve BBM messages during this 'phase' either, I've tried reloading the OS but that won't work either for some reason.

It's not a matter of it lagging on waking (which also happens), it flat out won't respond period. I would rather not have to go through getting a replacement already.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Droid 4 intermittently stops responding to AVRCP (audio video remote control profile) commands such as play, pause, FF and REW while listening to music through a Bluetooth wireless stereo headset. When I start playing a song, the AVRCP commands work for a while, then the Droid 4 stops responding to them. The headset volume continues to work, but I don't think the phone needs to respond to volume commands because they operate locally at the headset. Here is a list of things I have tried that do NOT solve the problem:Three different music players: factory loaded music player, Power Amp, and DoubleTwist Three different Bluetooth stereo headsets: LG Tone (from Verizon store), Sennheiser MM200, Sony DR-BT100CX Hard reset of the phone Got a new replacement Droid 4 from the Verizon Wireless store "Allow Bluetooth bypass" in the Location & security settings both checked and unchecked.Pin/password/pattern protect both enabled and disabled WiFi turned on and off Screen locked and unlocked.(Toggling between locked and unlocked and vice-versa seems to get it responding to commands, but then wait another minute and it stops responding again.)Installed System Update 6.13.219.en.US on 4/28/12? I listen to a lot of music, so the phone is useless to me if this is not fixed. I'm within Verizon's 14 day return period, so this will be the second Droid 4 I'm returning if the problem is not fixed.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis happens to me every time I use my laptop dock on wifi at home. I use it about 3-4 times a week for about 1-2hrs each time.
After about 30min-1hr of usage the touch pad stops responding. The light is on in the top left hand corner and when I double tap that area the light stays on (normally it goes off to disable the touch pad). After a few seconds of moving my finger around while trying to tap the light, eventually it starts responding, but not everytime. I've had numerous instances where it never started to respond even with the light on. I've had to undock the phone and redock it.
Also I've had issues where the red Motorola logo would not go away and stayed on the screen until I undocked and redocked.
When I record videos on my Elm, it freezes sometimes after I stop recording. The phone stops responding and at times I have to remove the battery manually in order to get the phone working. I'm planning to return the phone if it keeps freezing like this.
