Great job here by Nokia on this update.Until now I detected one possible bug.When we opens the radio, on the others firmware, when RDS was available the name of the station appears automatically, now it doesn't appear.
Is there an Internet Radio app. (streaming) for the Nokia 5800? I know it's got FM 'built in' but I can only pick up about 3 stations clearly.....
View 4 Replies View RelatedCouple of months back I upgrade my Nokia 5800 to V40. After that, i have started having peculiar problem with the FM Radio. Radio plays fine. but when I keep switching the different saved stations, at one point it just HANGS. No keys on my phone hands free work and the only option left for me would be remove the battery and reboot the phone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my nokia 5800 to v5 from v4, after update my radio and Bluetooth has stopped working completely. When I goto Radio it gets hanged instantly only option I have is to click on red button or menu button, but radio app keeps running in back ground. When I tried to turn on my Bluetooth I gets a error message 'Unable to perform Bluetooth Operation'. When I got to Albums and tried to send any music file via Bluetooth I get a message 'Unable to connect'. I had already tries hard resetting and re-installing firmware through OVI suite, but I am still facing this problem.

When i try to capture a photo i noticed that gps is not available notification. But when i close my camera option my phone show that gps is available. I also check the settings. Actually what is the problem ? When i entered camera option then gps option show me that its not available but when i close camera option then it show gps is available. When i first bought Nokia n8 its work its gps function properly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust updated to new firmware 51.0.006 (RM-356) Nokia 5800 and I dont know whether I am just thinking this but the phone seems faster now in operation (maybe with the firmware update it cleared cahes and whatnot maybe thats all it is) - one of the things that was supposed to be changed in the new firmware is browser changes, but I cannot seem to see any diffrerence the layout still looks the same to me. improved mail for exchange dont affect me because i dont use it, improved video call dont affect me because I dont use that, but they did list improved browser and improved performance so thats good anyway. Anyone else tried the new 51.0.006 (RM-356) yet?

I updated my 5800 few days ago, and then I found out that the map on my phone said I can't get to the main road because there's nothing connected between them? If u check the map, at the address: bangkok HuaMak Ramkhamhaeng 24 Yaek 34, compare with google maps on same location, you will see that according to the maps on the phone there's no way out. Where's al these river's been gone? Yesterday, I went to the center of Bangkok to exchange some money, when I came back by doing boat, the river on my location is gone. Please, I want the old map, the maps that been charged.
View 10 Replies View RelatedBoth PC Suite and Ovi were working perfectly until I updated my Ovi to the latest version early this week. Now, whenever I start Ovi, it will crash after 15-20sec if my 5800 is connected ( either bluetooth or USB ). If the phone is not connected, Ovi will stay without any issue. Btw, PC Suite is working fine. Here is the error message pop-up on the screen when Ovi crashed.
"Nokia Ovi Suite 2 has stopped working". A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". No solution is actually provided and the only option is to "Close program". Here is the windows error log :

This is what i did so far :
i) Uninstall Ovi , re-download from Nokia web, reinstall : Failed to fix
ii) Uninstall Ovi and all Nokia related software , clean Registry and reinstall Ovi Suite : Failed to fix
iii) Format and reinstall Windows 7 ( Yes, I did !!! ) , re-download and reinstall Ovi Suite : Failed to fix
I strongly believe this error is caused by the latest version of Ovi Suite, as i have another laptop which running with the older version of Ovi Suite works perfectly with my 5800. I have uninstall the Ovi Suite, I will only try it again when next release is available.
Updated my 5800 software which sorted out the problem with my maps but my full QWERTY has gone. I miss it! I'm left with the other options including the mini QWERTY but it's not the same. Tried turning off and taking the battery out but it didn't work. Any ideas? Do I need to restore factory settings I want my QWERTY back!

View 6 Replies View RelatedAs the title says - updated the phone and now have no option for full screen qwerty input! Everything else working fine - just lost one of the input options, handwriting, mini-qwerty or keypad are all that are left. Annoying as qwertry input was one of the best things about it - handwriting sucks, mini-qwerty is too small and if I wanted an alpha-numeric keypad I would have got a smaller, 'traditional' phone.

Checked the forum and did not find any on this post! Ran my battery down to 4% and radio did not turn off. Has Rim done away with this feature? Not very often i have the battery down this low, and i know it is not good for the battery. I just wanted to see if it would turn off. I plugged my phone in at 4% so I did not run the battery any lower. I thought it was at 5% that it would turn off. Is the percentage lower? Or is RADIO OFF gone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay i've had my Nokia n97 for more than 6months now and its been working great except lately my facebook app wasn't working and i had to update it,so last night i backed up my files on my mobile and i connected it to the pc and updated it with the program that the mobile brings with a cd it was okay then i went back to restore my files and it said it had to restart so it turned off and i went to turn it on again and it stayed a blank screen with the nokia sign in the middle in blue (when you turn it on it that usually shows) but it stayed stuck there it doesn't go to pin code nor anything, and to turn it off i have to take the battery off,

Big mistake as I soon found out that I couldn't update my phone (unless I created a completely new Netherlands based Zune account), but still don't have Mix Radio (don't know what it prevents now).In a global world it is ridiculous that Microsoft still feels it should introduce terrestrial borderlines and even limit access to phone updates and functionality (they even don't allow me to spend money in the Markteplace).

Now after the update the Nokia Mail does not open anymore. When I push the Mail-button on my C3-00 it shows "opening mail" and then NOKIA "Loading Mail", the white screen with the yellow envelope. But then nothing happens anymore. The screen stays this way FOREVER. It does not freeze, I can exit the application YES/or NO.
