I have a holster cover for my XPRT, and am annoyed that when in the holster with the screen facing out, the top clip almost entirely covers the power/wakeup button. It means I have to take it out of the holster every time I want to wake up the phone.Does anyone know if it is posssible to set up the quich launch botton on the side to also wake up the phone??
View 7 RepliesI have a 9 month old Xperia Play through Verizon, about a week ago, I started having this intermitten porblem where the display wouldn't wake up by using the power button or the home button. Sometimes it works on a single press, other times it takes multiple presses. occassionally it refuses to wakeup at all, forcing me to pull the battery. I have already tried a settings reset and begrudgingly follwed up with a factory reset, which of course whipped 9 months of data away. Neither reset process had any affect. I have really grown attached to this phone and would hate to lose it

After a power down and battery remove-replace, the first time I push the phone button the screen blinks, then nothing. Each push thereafter does nothing.If I use the phone dialer app it's the same thing. To make a call I have to either use my Voice Mail which works fine, and use the redial function from voice mail, or use Contacts to make a call. If I want to call a number not in a VM or in my contacts, it can't be done.Android 2.2.2

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor the last few days, I've had a hard time waking up my Atrix. I push the power button and it doesn't react. I push it a few more times, and eventually it wakes up and works normally. My first thought was that the power/wake button was becoming defective, but I can press it many times in a row and it will sleep, wake, sleep wake, etc. No problems.
Then today I noticed my phone was shut off completely after I returned home from being out.
I booted it back up and the battery was showing 50%, so it clearly wasn't a low battery shutdown. I have apps that can monitor the system, and I've not found any that are using a lot of CPU or battery, so I'm not sure what the issue could be.
Is there any sort of a log I can look at, to try to determine the cause of the phone shutting off?
What are the plans for future software updates for XPRT?Is Gingerbread going to be the last one? Any chance for 4.x?Because, see, as of today XPRT is lagging behind for like a year on Android updates.It was released (June 6, 2011) with outdated FroYo (released May 20, 2010).Now, if stars align, we'll get GB 2.3.5 update (released July 25, 2011) hopefully in August '12.And that also means that phone that's been out only for a year is already 2 major Android versions behind current one.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to figure out if it's possible to bypass the initial splash screen (sorry I don't know what it's called) that needs to be swiped out of the way in order to go to the home screen. I'd prefer to go straight to the apps screen when the phone wakes up if possible. Then the problem I have with the Home and Apps screens is if I have the phone on a stand and using a BT Mouse and KB, those screens do not auto rotate into Landscape mode, so the mouse pointer is not usable unless you prop the phone up in Portrait mode. Is there any way to make those screens auto rotate as well?

FOR A WEEK MY PHONE WAS DOING FINE AND THEN WHEN I USE THE 3G MOBILE HOTSPOT I KEEP MY PHONE PLUGGED IN AND THE BATTERY SAYS IT IS CHARGING BUT IT IS DOING THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE AND GOING DEAD. View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a completely stock Moto XPRT running 4.1.15.MB612. When I select to check for updates, it says 4.1.110.MB612 is available so I click to download. I'm on wifi so thankfully it's not too slow. The phone reboots, shows the Android guy doing his thing then quickly boots back in to Android before eventually popping up with the error "failed to update". So I lurked the forums and see to hold the @ symbol down when in recovery and do so, here's what pops up.

I have at least 6 XPRT's in my company that users are complaining they turn on by themselves in the middle of the night. This started happening after the Gingerbread update and has happened on phones that I've done a factory reset on. I've had them remove them from the cases to make sure they are pressing on the power button but the problem persists. I've seen some posts from Droid users having had the same problem and one XPRT user on the Sprint forums.
Could it be an app that get's installed. I've confirmed they are shutting them off and not just putting them in "low power" mode.
