BB Torch :: 9800 Right Side Volume Button Not Working With Any Music Program
Oct 11, 2011I have a Torch 9800 and the volume buttons on the right side of my phone don't seem to be working with any music program (Pandora, Slacker Radio, etc.) other than the normal Music program that comes with the phone. Is there something I need to do to configure the buttons for third-party music programs? It used to work just fine with these programs but no more!

Aug 12, 2011I have a holster cover for my XPRT, and am annoyed that when in the holster with the screen facing out, the top clip almost entirely covers the power/wakeup button. It means I have to take it out of the holster every time I want to wake up the phone.Does anyone know if it is posssible to set up the quich launch botton on the side to also wake up the phone??

Jul 26, 2011Two weeks into using my new XPRT and now the green phone button does nothing, well almost nothing. After a power down and battery remove-replace, the first time I push the phone button the screen blinks, then nothing. Each push thereafter does nothing.If I use the phone dialer app it's the same thing. To make a call I have to either use my Voice Mail which works fine, and use the redial function from voice mail, or use Contacts to make a call. If I want to call a number not in a VM or in my contacts, it can't be done.Android 2.2.2

Jul 5, 2012My buttons seemed to have stopped working properly. In order to adjust the volume using the side button, I have to shut down the phone and then restart it. It will work for a while and then stops working and I have to go thru the process again. The home button just works whenever it wants. It doesn't fix the problem when I restart the phone. I can slide my finger in a circle around the button and it still doesn't work.

Mar 1, 2010Got a problem with my 5800 - just today, the touch screen has started being odd. It sometimes works perfectly but then i try and press a button on the left hand side of the screen and it chooses the one at the right-hand side. This obviously makes everything very difficult! Any ideas as to why this might be/how I could repair it? I've tried the touch screen calibration about 10 times, it sorts it out for about a minute.I can send it to Nokia to replace but I could really do without sending my phone away

Sep 5, 2014I have had issues with my sleep/wake button and as my phone was eligible under the program I requested the apple store (India-Bangalore) to replace my phone. Firstly this is not the first time I have faced this problem i.e. I have already replaced my iphone once which also had the sleep button problem. After diagnosis the technician did agree that the sleep button did not work at times, but as the phone was not covered under warranty, I have to pay to get my phone replaced. The reason given for paid replacement given was because of dents to the exterior. However, the major dent is only at the bottom of the phone and not near the sleep/wake button.

Dec 18, 2015Hearing clicking like button on the right side of the screen beside the power button and volume up, down button. I tried to push a little harder on the screen and it seems its under the screen. But the screens is fine when its on no issue ot whatever. But its annoying hearing those click when you push the screen a little harder.. I tried to remove the back case to be sure its not the power/volume button that I'm hearing.

I can move the switch, but my phone stays in silent. However, If I plug my headphones in, Then I can hear everything like I am supposed too. Also, my up volume button does not work. This is with the headphones also. I have tried doing a soft reset, I reset all of my settings, I updated my software, I restored everything back to factory settings, and nothing has fixed it. I bought it from best buy and can send it in for service, but the last time I sent a phone in, it took them 3 months! and I really don't want to go without my phone that long.

May 19, 2011The increase (top one) volume button on the side of the phone does not work. The decrease volume button work fine. For example, I open up media player, put on an mp3, but it is too low to be able to hear so I click the volume button to increase it but it just does nothing. I have threw my Blackberry once or twice in frustration since I got it for Christmas. I imagine this might have something to do with the fault but I don't know for sure.
