thinking a format of my phone is in order but I would like some advice first before I take drastic action as I have alot of music and precious family photos on my phone etc that i would need to copy over to laptop
View 5 RepliesGot a problem with my 5800 - just today, the touch screen has started being odd. It sometimes works perfectly but then i try and press a button on the left hand side of the screen and it chooses the one at the right-hand side. This obviously makes everything very difficult! Any ideas as to why this might be/how I could repair it? I've tried the touch screen calibration about 10 times, it sorts it out for about a minute.I can send it to Nokia to replace but I could really do without sending my phone away

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen typing using the backlight on either Live Messenger, or writing a document on Word or a long message, the device completely freezes and blacks out, with both screens, keypads being unresponsive. I have to take the battery out and put it back in to make it work again.This has only ever happened when I'm typing with the backlight on, and for a prolonged period. Backlight function is pretty much useless right now. Background apps are not the issue, and neither is any other function.The backlight is basically useless right now.

I have just purchased a BlackBerry curve and have problems connecting to wifi the wireless network is connected yet I cannot get it to work, get the message "unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider". In manager Connection the WiFi is connected but no tick on the right hand side box?

After last update my screen doesn't respond when I touch the right hand side of the screen. The only way to type text is in horizontal position. When I try to draw with Sketch app, there was a vertical line in the right side that don't respond on my touch and stays blank. I didn't drop the phone, glove mode is not on, e.t.c.

Is there any way to disable the ringer volume control on the side of the S2. I've found myself sometimes (not knowingly) switching the volume control to silent and then not hearing a call coming in.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem for a while and now I'm getting work I don't want to miss my phone because I've put it on dead mode. Before I factory reset my phone, I was able to change my volume using the side buttons to go from different levels of sound, then vibrate only, then dead mode (complete silent and no vibrations). Now I only have different levels of sound and dead mode. I read about changing an option in sounds to vibrate only in silent mode, which will fix this but I can't find that either (my suspicians are that this option was taken out in ICS or moved to a secret location to foil my plans).
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy buttons seemed to have stopped working properly. In order to adjust the volume using the side button, I have to shut down the phone and then restart it. It will work for a while and then stops working and I have to go thru the process again. The home button just works whenever it wants. It doesn't fix the problem when I restart the phone. I can slide my finger in a circle around the button and it still doesn't work.

When I receive large emails it requests you to click on the "Load more details" button. When I do this, it simply says "Downloading" but never manages to actually download the rest of the content. I can work around by increasing the default download limit up to 100K but that's not the point. Why isn't it working as it should?i'm using Ice Cream Sandwhich.

What I did was Turning on the Backlight Keypad in Test and then pressed CHANGE APLICATION (Something Like that I have it in Spanish) and then the Lights Keep up all the time. But if I go to the Music Player and I use "MUTE KEY" the Backlight Keypad turns off. (ONLY WHEN I PRESS MUTE ON THE MUSIC PLAYER)
