Samsung Galaxy S II :: Widget Installation Plus Add Button Missing?
Sep 25, 2012I dowloaded a widget and tried to install it, but on the homescreen menu, there is no + add button. Only wallpaper, manage apps and system settings.

Mar 28, 2012Email widget stops working after the boot usually on one or two hours. You can click and open existing emails, but new emails are not listed and you cannot select which email box to view. Killing widget service or email won't help. You have to add the widget again or reboot the phone.

May 8, 2011I synchronised with my gmail account succesfully and then I added my most common contacts to my second home page using the +Buddy widget. One day later half the widgets were empty and half of them maintained the assigned contacts. I was surprised but I renewed them thinking maybe it was something I did wrong. After using these widgets for a day with no problem, today I am surprised to see all of them are unassigned to contacts now.

Jun 7, 2012Last night I picked up my Galaxy SII and must have accidentally deleted my AccuWeather widget off my home screen. I have tried pressing and holding the screen and looked through the widgets, and yes I found the AccuWeather.com widget, but when I drag it back onto my phone home screen. I get all weather for the next five days on my home screen as well, instead of just the current weather with the temperature etc.

May 23, 2010I am N900 user and downloaded the app "Conversations Inbox Desktop Widget". But somehow by mistake I uninstalled app (1.0.4) from my N900. And now I want to reinstall the new version (1.1.1) by downloading from app manager.Then error comes out and says:

I want to back up my phone to do a factory reset because it keeps freezing unexpectedly.When I connect phone I get the error message "Hardware Id Missing".I have removed and reinstalled Kies but still get the same message. Jul 21, 2015I have an s6 and the factory installed 4x1 clock/weather app no longer works. The clock still keeps time, but the weather icon on the right hand side does not show the current weather, will not update, nor will it allow me to touch the widget and enter into the settings/different cities. It was working fine up until about a week ago. I've tried restarting my phone and removing/re-positioning the widget, but no luck. It can't be uninstalled as it came with OS.

After some time, I went to view the photos and videos again in my gallery. Suddenly the photos and videos I took on January 1st were missing but photos I took before January 1st 2015 were still there. I'm sure I didn't delete any of the photos. Apr 17, 2012My boyfriend just got the Samsung Galaxy S2. He is coming from an iphone4. He managed to get all of his contacts from his iPhone onto his PC, gmail recognizes all 1715 contacts! He synced his Samsung with gmail yet his phone only picked up 1406 contacts. Where are the other 300? They are contacts that he uses everyday like mine, and friends. But they have disappeared between gmail and the phone.

Windows says it cannot find the Hardware ID and therefore cannot interact with the phone. Also, why 'Wireless Network' connection not working after rooting. I could connect to my in-house network before routing, but no longer.

Well I have that little problem with it that whenever I download a pic from for example Google or Hangouts I don't have the -Downloads- folder in my gallery. They do not show up anywhere except if I go to "My files - internal memory - downloads" but nowhere in the gallery. In the gallery I chose the option to show every pic which is saved to the device but they don't show up only camera photos, screenshots. Nothing else.

Aug 7, 2012I've had this problem for a while and now I'm getting work I don't want to miss my phone because I've put it on dead mode. Before I factory reset my phone, I was able to change my volume using the side buttons to go from different levels of sound, then vibrate only, then dead mode (complete silent and no vibrations). Now I only have different levels of sound and dead mode. I read about changing an option in sounds to vibrate only in silent mode, which will fix this but I can't find that either (my suspicians are that this option was taken out in ICS or moved to a secret location to foil my plans).
