Been tring to update software for a couple weeks now. Every time I attempt to update I am given the following message - "The server is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. Please come back later to check for updates." Been in contact with customer service a couple times and have not heard back from anyone yet.

My units are set in metric. Everything seems fine when I look at my workout. But if I look at the public version of the workout, I see the values for the metric units but with american units instead.So 5.74km becomes 5.74mi and 5 min/km becomes 5 min/mi.

It showed it going from 1.2.9 to something starting with a 2.x number.I thought great, MotoCast is rather incomplete, has error issues and is a bit stale.When I clicked the update it then told me that there was no internet connection (not true).When I went to MotoCast and invoked check for updates it told me that I had the latest version (1.2.9).I also plugged in the MotoActv and checked for any device updates. Nothing (I'm on MA 1.6.12 N16 for my 16 GB unit).

I haven't had a chance to fully test the new features as I wanted to let everyone know asap.....But one of the cool features is that it now supports file transfers!! Yaaay! Bout stinkin time! The UI is changed in look at bit and the video is supposed to be better optimized on Tegra 2 devices. I haven't tested the video out since the update but I will say that navigating the new Skype was FAST!
Just got in from a run. Device won't sync, just sits there with 'syncing' on the screen for minutes on end. Also, the MA website won't let me into the workout data. It just says 'unable to process request'. Device synced fine Sunday, but not today. First elevation issue, not I can't even sync my workouts or view them.

Then i try to update the software and it says that it is already up to date. I have the 8GB version and thats what the update is for according to the website.

I have recently purchased a motoactv which works great, but when I try and connect it to a computer it doesn't connect properly. The initial connection via usb managed to install the USB Composite Device driver, but failed to install the Motorola Networking Interface and the Motorola ADB Interface. Nothing else happens. Whenever I connect or disconnect I do get the notification sound, but again nothing else. It does not even appear in my computer. I tried system restore to a previous point to remove the drivers and try again, but on the initial connection of the device exactly the same thing happened again. I have tried installing motocast but have had no results with that either.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to download maps to my Motoactv device. When I click on a particular map on the maps screen, all I get is garbled data (presumably raw image files?). This seems to be the case for any map I select. I've tried right-clicking and saving the map files, however it saves them as *.htm files, which is presumably the wrong format for the device.I'm using IE9 on Windows 7 64-bit.

I have been trying for 2 days with the same result as above. I tried unplugging device, using a different USB port, etc. nothing seems to work.
After the last update my computer brought up a screen saying to enter in my Proxy information. This is the first time it did it and I don't have any proxy information. Since then my motoactv will connect to my network but won't sync the data over wifi. If I use usb I can sync music but no fitness data. I tried the basic stuff like forgetting my network or using my phone as a hotspot but nothing worked. So i deceided I would do a factory reset. I would only lose one day of data plus one run and one golfing outing. I do the factory reset and now it won't connect at all. It gives me an error code 360.Now to my GPS problem. Before the update it would lock on in 10- 15 sec. Now it takes almost the full 5 min and sometimes it won't do it at all. Everything was fine before the update.

Decided to do so in the evening, but was unprepared for the rigamarole I encountered. The device would not update until I updated Motocast, which took FOREVER. And after all of that, the Motoactv won't even update. The device manager box tells me that my Motoactv is running the most current software version and that that version is N/A. 0 for 2; my device is not running the current version and the version it is running is 1.7.2 N8, not N/A. That is not the version number I saw this morning when Motocast informed me that there was an update available.

The ability to answer calls during runs was one of the primary reasons I went with this watch. I had since changed my phone as well to take advantage of it. Now that I have the SF600, I am still unable to answer calls on the motoactv and, when answered on the phone, the headset does not route the call.What am I missing?Equipment:Phone - Droid RAZRMotoactv - 8GB w/system version 4.55.78
