View 14 Replies View RelatedI've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

The installed software version is 5.0.0.351 with platform 5.1.0.98 and branding version 1.0.160.529q.I have read in this forum that there is a later version of the os available yet when I utilized the BB desktop software updater, it say that the latest version is installed. Is this correct?
I also have other issues with applications. I am unable to download and install the "BlackBerry APP World"; I get a message, " Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry App World"
"Google talk" give an error messag: " Service not enabled for this hand held" "Blackberry maps" are not loaded on the handset.Setup wizard does not give me the option to set up my personal e-mail only enterprise e-mail.I am able to browse and send and receive MMS & SMS messages.
Kindly advise as to ho to resolve these issues and whether there is a more current software version for the handset, and if so: how do I update it.
This has been frustrating me for the past 3 hours. I just opened my MotoActv today. I plugged it into my computer, installed Motocast, and set up my Motocast ID. I can sign into mymotocast.com just fine, but cannot sign into motoactv.com. It gives me the message "Invalid credentials. Please try again."

Phone is plugged in, computer asks if i want to update, I click yes, computer downloads the new software (25-35 min) but when it starts to transfer to phone an error message pops up saying that the network has timed out. This has happened on two different computers.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been reading a lot of posts on here and all the problems experienced with the Defy and different versions of Android that I am just wondering what really is the best version to use on the Defy that has the least problems?I have seen posts saying that 2.2 is buggy but not as buggy as 2.1. But now I have recently seen a post where the OP is wanting to downgrade from 2.2 I believe back down to 2.1 due to problems.What exactly is the issue, is it the operating system (software) or the actual phone itself (hardware)? Do these different versions of Android work any better on other phones like HTC, Samsung, etc or are there just as many bugs/hangs/freezes?For now I think I'm sticking with 2.1. I like my Defy but I'm not convinced I should buy a Motorola product again unless the Google takeover drastically improves their customer services and product support, especially after-sales.

I haven't had a chance to fully test the new features as I wanted to let everyone know asap.....But one of the cool features is that it now supports file transfers!! Yaaay! Bout stinkin time! The UI is changed in look at bit and the video is supposed to be better optimized on Tegra 2 devices. I haven't tested the video out since the update but I will say that navigating the new Skype was FAST!
