I just bought a new 8GB watch and connect with my Android 4.0.3 phone. When an incoming call, the watch shows the caller ID correctly but no notification sound. In setup, I have selected play a notification tone.
View 2 RepliesThis AM put on wired headphones (not the MOTO ones but ones that have always worked before). When I started the workout there was no workout started announcement. When went to Music nothing played. I realised the MOTOACTV had not recognised the headphones.
After the workout, I tried the headphones on another device and worked fine.
I tried powering off the MOTOACTV and on again but no luck.
How to get rid of the connect / disconnect notifications in an Android phone that is paired with a motoactv? The app was notifying me every 15 mins about getting and loosing connections to the Motoactv. Was driving me nuts so I killed the app.

I will notice it is vibrating without but there is no notificaiton. If I turn the phone off and back on, the sound returns.

This is very annoying so I muted my phone and this is fine until it time to wake up and the alerm doesnt sounds because I muted my phone. So my question is how to I stop the phone form playing the notificate every few minutes or how do I turn off the docking notification. I see nothing in the dock settings which is where it has been on every other android phone I have owned.

You currently have an action that will change the ringtone, so this should not be much different in coding. Please do this quickly or else I will have to develop a seperate app just to handle the notification change based on criteria, when it would make more sense just to have you integrate it into your application.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have rebooted, contacted Verizon numerous times, been routed to a Level II technician, but nothing seems to solve the only intermittent problem of getting no notification sound when I get an email. The problem started out getting no ringtone sound when I got a call. Verizon finally fixed that by enabling something on advanced calling in their network. That took numerous trips to the Verizon store. Then, two days ago, I went back to Verizon with my wife to look at the iphone6 for her. I casually mentioned the notification problem to the salesperson, who said the problem was probably due to my downloaded sounds, and that I should stick to the sounds on the phone. I promptly went home and removed the downloaded sounds, but the problem persists. Because the problem is intermittent, no one has been able to fix it.

Sending an email is another story. The phone says it is sending it, but last night I ended up going to bed after a couple hours without having received two emails going from my phone to my computer, both with pics. This morning I had finally received the emails and the funny thing was, the sent time would have been correct, even though my computer did not actually receive them at that time. They must have been in At&t limbo for a couple hours???
This morning same thing. I took a pic, sent it to my computer, and upon opening Gmail it says it is sending (in red), but I'm simply not getting it. Is this a phone problem or an At&t problem? It's a bad problem, I'll tell you that. I can't be waiting a couple hours for someone to receive an email.
In the meantime, I'm going to send myself an email without a pic and see if that goes through right away.
In my motor blur account i have several email accounts but only one make a sound when it come in. Is there away to kill the sound for that email come in without turn off the sound on the phone it is yahoo.com email my other email donot make sound and only show in my notification when drop the screen.

I thought the cradle software was supposed to automatically mute those notification sounds, but there must be something I've not set right somewhere. Anyone know how to fix it?

I did see another thread that seems to mention this but it deals more with ongoing notifications throughout the night and I don't have any problems with that. don't want to use silent mode because I want calls to come through, but I don't want the notification sound to play on insert. I've tried the Bedside dock app becuase it selectively suppresses notification sounds (no email alert, can choose phone or SMS alerts). Bedside works great to handle email notifications but it insn't active until after the dock insert sound has played.This is a real nusiance when my wife is already asleep when I place the phone in the dock.

However; this setting keeps reverting back to a default sound....something like an old phone ring or something. I can't even find this sound in the default sound files on the phone. If I'm listening to music (Winamp, the stock app, or Pandora) and a notification pops up, I hear the notification sound but afterward the volume of my music drops down a lot. I checked sound settings and they are all maxed out after a reboot, but still no sound until the second text message.

I have recently purchased a motoactv which works great, but when I try and connect it to a computer it doesn't connect properly. The initial connection via usb managed to install the USB Composite Device driver, but failed to install the Motorola Networking Interface and the Motorola ADB Interface. Nothing else happens. Whenever I connect or disconnect I do get the notification sound, but again nothing else. It does not even appear in my computer. I tried system restore to a previous point to remove the drivers and try again, but on the initial connection of the device exactly the same thing happened again. I have tried installing motocast but have had no results with that either.
