I am trying to update my Iphone software from 4.2.1 to the latest version.
I have tried restoring itunes, and also the update however the same message pops up at the end of installation.
the iphone could not be updated because the firware is not compatible
How can I solve this as it is driving me crazy and is slowly breaking my phone.

I updated my iPhone to the latest version (7 point something) but my iTunes no longer recognizes the phone when I connect it via USB. The iPhone permanently shows the connect to iTunes logo but does nothing when I do connect it. I'm using a Windows PC as the platform. When I open Devices in Control Panel, there's a small yellow exclamation mark icon next to the Driver, it says in recovery mode...Â
I cant reboot the phone because the Home button is bust.Â
At this point I'd be happy if I could simply get the phone to work properly again - even if that means I have to use the old iOS.Â
I've tested the USB cable and its working 100%Â
I've updated iTunes but that didn't workÂ
I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes but that didn't workÂ
I've followed several apple support steps which didn't workÂ
Having major issues with my Iphone Apps after latest patch. Is there anything I can do to get my iPhone applications to install? Everything seems frozen. I have done many system resets and nothing has worked?

I'm unable to upgrade to the latest version of Quickoffice. I've tried both options offered in the application - download and e-mail, but neither work. When I try to download, the application stops responding and when I use the e-mail option, the application reports that the process was successfully completed, but I don't receive an e-mail. My phone can access Internet normally.

I was trying to update through flasher, then the phone doesn't complete booting I mean just stuck on booting. I did try another version, and also doesn't work. The phone only accept one or tow version which is a Global RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM and Middle East version RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11.003_PR_COMBINED_003_ARM. Just accepting the old version. When I update to latest version, it just stuck for more than 4 hours on the 5 dots or booting.
I did read almost or all the posts talking about this problem and no one worked with me. I did flash it with EMMC first then OS but also nothing happened. And when I flash with the old global, the phone boot up and work fine but when I check the IMEI there is nothing show up. And there is red line on the top on the sim card. I tried many SIM card. But nothing work. I hope I can find solution.

Last night i decided to restore my 3GS to 3.1.3 from 3.1.2 and when i tried to sync my apps back it would not sync them to the phone, it would show the progress bar go really fast but its impossible for something to install that fast since some apps i have are about 100-200 mb. I have the latest version of itunes(9.1.1.12) and i tried using different ports on my laptop, i tried rebooting both my phone and laptop and that did not help either. Any ideas on what to do

This is an iPhone 4S. I have stupidly inflicted this on myself. Here is the situation: I haven't synced my iPhone for several weeks. I tried to install the latest version of iOS via wifi which I have done many times before with no problem. This time I ended up with the phone stuck in recovery mode. If I connect via cable to iTunes, it tells me that I will need to use recovery and restore. I would very much like to attempt to save photos and contact updates done since the last restore.Â

After latest update that brought us pinch-zoom I've got issue with using the phone with my in-car Bluetooth handsfree. It happens during call - it all works great up to some point when BT connection seems to "hang" so both phone and car BT thinks in's still active while it's not. After I move the call to the phone and finish conversation, BT in the phone gets turned off and it never turns on again until I reboot the phone. This is pretty annoying as I spend 2+ hrs daily in the car and I live in Ontario, Canada which has a law against using cellphones during driving except with handsfree.

They don't seem to understand that perhaps their information is wrong, and that I must speak to my network to get the latest firmware or they can't help me!
