Currently, when you press an icon in the dock area you get a screen that gives you alternatives. What happened??Before, I could change the Dock icons with whatever I wanted it to be.Now I want to change the Contact icon and use the DejaContacts because my sync with my PC goes to DejaOffice.Can now only use what the "add icon" screen will allow.

View 11 Replies View RelatedHas anyone seen / experienced this? When I have my photon in the car dock and using the GPS, I am unable to receive incoming calls. My girlfriend has called me for the past three days and she says my phone rings and rings and goes to voicemail. I have Sprint Service. I am not using TeleNav or any other navagation, I am just using the GPS mode and Bluetooth is also running. I dont have any other issues with not receiving incoming calls unless its in the dock.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have the Motorola car dock, and when the phone is docked, the volume buttons do nothing. I want to turn up the volume on the phone becuase even when I trun my radio up all the way, the volume is still not loud enough.
If I undock the phone and just use the headphone jack, I can turn the volume up and down on the phone.
So for some reason, the dock disables the use of the buttons.
My Photon has been pretty much flawless, but it has needed reboots twice and both times after disconnecting from the Car Dock.

If my phone is locked and I am using a pin number for security, the phone never asks me to input my pin number once I place the phone in the cardock. The phone wakes up, unlocks and goes to the car dock screen. This is a bit scary, if that is all a person has to do to gain access to a locked phone.
Every time I shut down and restart my RM, or add a new app from the store, it empties the program icons I have in the dock bar at the bottom of the screen! The "apps" icon stays, but the others that I place there because they're the ones I use frequently all disappear, and I have to put them back into the dock bar.

I have a wireless mouse, and I'm waiting for a keyboard but for some reason, I can't figure out how to bring up the full screen keyboard on the actual photon while I'm using the hd dock. I know it can be done because I saw it at the sprint store and I read of others doing it but all the searching I've done hasn't lead me to an answer. To clarify, I'm trying to figure out how to bring the keyboard up on the photon screen so I can type in web top mode until my regular keyboard arrives.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy problem is I cannot use any keyboard in Webtop mode.I have an MB855 Photon 4G with the HD Dock and a Motorola keyboard w/trackpad.I can connect to the dock fine and open the Webtop application, shows up on my TV and looks dandy. Then I turn on Bluetooth and pair the keyboard (Motorola 89507 wireless keyboard with trackpad) with the phone. It requests a numeric code which I enter on the keyboard and hit enter- presto.Now the screen on the phone changes to a clock and I can control the cursor through the trackpad on the keyboard. BUT no matter what I do the keyboard will not type letters. No keys on the keyboard appear to have any functionality.At this point I undocked the phone, then the keyboard works fine!Plug it back into the dock and -whoop- right back to no keyboard.At this point I decided to try my Logitech mouse & keyboard. I plugged in a Logitech unifying receiver into the back of the HD Dock and the screen flashed- but nothing else.

It doesn't seem to recognize that I have plugged a USB cable from the dock to my PC? What I wanted to do, was use it in the USB Mass Storage mode just like I do with a cable--nice fast file transfers, using the file explorer on my PC...
How can I edit/replace apps in provided car dock menu? I know there are several 'add app here', but, like provided radio tuner is not much good here in AUS so I wanted to replace it with 'tunin' that works well, and, has local radio stations.

I went to Applications>Development> Unchecked Stay Awake and it keeps becomming checked everytime I reinstert it onto the Motorola Dock! So annoying, I made sure the phone is up to date and still this bug exists. Anyone know of a fix or work around?

When I put the phone into the dock, the app immediately opens, and I don't want it to. If I already have Pandora or Navigation running , I want that app to stay up and running instead of the phone opening the car dock homescreen. 2. Can I have the home button go to the car dock home screen when the home button is pressed while the phone is in the dock? Currently,if my phone is in the car dock and I press the home button, it takes me to my regular home screen. To get to the vehicle home screen, I have to pull down the notification bar and select the notification. I am currently using GO Launcher, but I think the issue still occurs with the stock launcher.

However after rebooting all the media icons like pictures videos became a black folder with a question mark along with the original icons and all my icons from the media dock were removed> now my media dock is empty and I cant find a way to put those icons back on> also I have a copy of all the media icons like pictures videos etc twice.

I cannot directly access the internal memory through the USB. Is there a way to make it store everything on the SD card?For instance I shoot video and it all goes into the internal memory. The only way I can get it onto my computer is to first move it to the SD card, then I can move it to my PC.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got my Photon yesterday and really like it. One odd thing I noticed was that sometimes an application icon on my desktop will be stuck in a "Loading" state. If I click on the icon, it says something like the application is unavailable. If I restart my phone, the problem appears to go away.A co-worker that has had the Photon for a while now says that he gets this problem all the time. He says restarting the phone will fix the problem for that icon, but sometimes another icon will have the same problem.It appears to happen with any launcher (e.g. Motoblur or GO Launcher EX).
*EDIT: In addition to the icon being stuck in "loading" on the desktop, I noticed that if you open the Applications area, the icon for the application doesn't even show up.
Is there a way to change the colors of each account in the combined inbox? The phone selects the colors automatically when addeding the accounts. Currently I have: Grey, Light Blue, Dark Blue. Which are *REALLY* hard to tell the difference between all 3 colors when just glancing at the phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to change the preferred order of WiFi networks? My office has two WiFi networks, one for my office and one for the conference room down the hall. When I added the network for the conference room I found that when I'm in the office the phone keeps connecting to it, even though the signal is much weaker than the office network. I ended up just removing it from the list, however, when I'm in the conference room I have to re-add it, which is a pain because there's a long password. On my Windows laptop it's easy to just change the order and it will connect to the one closest to the top of the list, but I can't find anything like that on my Photon. It seems like it would be something pretty simple that would have been built-in.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought the Atrix just for the docks (I have the car and lapdock) and after spending that much money I expect better from Motorola. I've updated to gingerbread if that help. The car dock hasn't rebooted the phone as much as the lapdock does but my lapdock is now useless.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI had an authorized seller replace the broken screen on my iPhone 4S, but now the bottom dock of icons is unresponsive. Weird thing is that I can't access the icons on the dock, nor open the lantern / calculator / clock / camera on the icons when I pull up the quick menu, but aside from that, that part of the screen works ... I can use the keyboard completely, you name it, everything except the icons on the dock and the bottom ones on the pull up menu ! Â
The guy who fixed my screen said it must be a software glitch, but I've restarted and restored the phone (from backup and as a new one) and the problem is still there !Â
Any chance he messed up something while changing the screen ?Â
Also, iPhone isn't (and has never been) jailbroken or anything of the sorts
I'm on my second Motorola Standard Dock for the Droid. In each case the dock worked fine for a short time, then phone suddenly stopped going into "dock mode" when inserted. The connection is OK: Still charges the phone. Just no dock mode features, which is why I bought the dock in the first place. Tried every combination of seating while turned on/off, seating then turning on/off, powering and de-powering dock, etc. No dice. Phone docks fine and enters car dock mode with car cradle. Using provided charger(s) with dock(s). Have not tried full reset of phone due to hassle of reinstalling apps, etc., but powered up, removed battery, etc. Am I really so unlucky as to get two defective docks or is there a software issue here?
