The Root Certificate on my boss's Moto Q is invalid now and wont' update his phone. (microsoft exchange 0x80072f0d)He has never used a data cable to sync his phone. Is there a way to update activsync on his cell or do I have to do it on his desktop?

View 3 Replies View RelatedGot the 4.1.22 update last night and it fixed my vibrate problem but I can't reply to emails anymore. When I open an email, click reply, the device opens a reply email (like it's supposed to), but then the screen flashes, and reverts back to the original email, and also puts a blank draft email in the draft folder. This is happening with my Activesynch account. My Gmail account works fine.

Seems ICS has been pushed up to Moto XYBoard 10.1; per rumors/leaked info and official sites, etc. They were doing good there for awhile, what happened? Surely the Forum Manager is not responsible for this too!!! Or did Motorola dispose of this part of the team/section too!!!
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe checkbox for push synching keeps inexplicably getting unchecked on my single Exchange account. Furthermore, it seems like ActiveSync may or may not work regardless of the setting (sometimes it doesn't work when it's on, and sometimes it works when it's off).
This worked forever on my D1 and it's currently working on my Xoom.
Will the fingerprint scanner still unlock the phone if a "Password Required" AS policy is pushed to the phone?

One record will become blocked or quarantined causing the phone not to receive mail. The user is also emailed a notification which is generating support calls.
View 8 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else setup the XPRT using the "Corporate Sync" account with a mailserver using ActiveSync? We've been trying a number of different phones out to do a company wide phone upgrade and have had numerous issues using the "Corporate Sync" connector within the XPRT. Our mailserver isn't Exchange but is Kerio Connect which has the ActiveSync connection. I've had no problems using the ActiveSync connection with other Android 2.2 and 2.3 phones and tablets along with iPads/iPhones but the XPRT has been troublesome to say the least. The latest problem we're having is I'm able to send a 1mb attachment but not a 2mb attachment from the "Corporate Sync" account. I get "message not sent" in the notification bar. I've tried different file types jpg and pdf and have tried it on two different phones/accounts and have had the same results. If I send the attachments out the Gmail it works fine and if I swap any other brand of Android phone to the same number/e-mail account it works fine. Looking at the Droid Pro and messaging forums this looks to always have been a problem caused by MotoBlur. I've got hours into this and Sprint connected me to Motorola Tier-2 who wants me to talk with Tier-3 which is callback only so I'm waiting.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've started having a problem with my Moto X (2014) since upgrading to Lollipop (or shortly after). When I received a voicemail I cannot get rid of the notification unless I restart my phone.
I'm using my phone in the UK on the EE 4G network. I'm using Android 5.0 which is the latest update available.
Having read through advice given to others in this and other forums and spoken to Motorola customer support, I've tried the following:
1. Leaving myself an additional message, listening to it, deleting it. The new voicemail notification arrives but does not clear after deleting the message.
2. Rebooting to safe mode which clears the notification on the reboot, but once I have another voicemail the same thing happens again. This rules out one of my third party apps causing the problem.
3. Clearing all the app defaults.
Noticed since the Lollipop update that if you spend some time in an app and then return to the home screen, it needs a second or two to redraw everything? It's like the phone isn't keeping the home screen in its memory.
The same for actual apps, too. Every single time I return to Chrome, it needs to reload the page. Or if I open, say Gmail, it's not as quick to open and needs an extra second or two to load up.
I was using Nova Launcher and switch to the stock Google Now launcher thinking it would solve the problem, but no dice.
The android system (6.0) update notification came on my phone yesterday (Moto X Pure 2015). Since I couldn't connect to a WiFi where I was, I decided to switch to my cellular data. But as soon as I did that the notification disappeared. I tried finding it on my phone settings, where you go to settings-->about phone-->system updates. It says my device it upto date. How can I retrieve the notification? I was waiting for my android OS update for a month and then this happened.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI installed the update the Hangout today and ever since all my SMS messages vibrate in addition to my selected notification sound.
I have tried everything to turn this off. All the "Vibrate" check boxes are cleared and still it vibrates.
It does not vibrate for Hangouts messages only SMS. Yes, I know there is a separate setting for each message type. All of them have Vibrate unchecked.
I even tries restarting the phone, but that did not work.
That's pretty disappointing if this has been permanently removed. It's not a trivial change for someone who prefers notifications a certain way.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI was prompted to update my MotoX yesterday 12/09/15 and wow - what a pain! The home button no longer works to go home and has another completely useless function (Now on Tap?) when it is long held. Might have value for some people but I just want the home button to take me home. I can't find anywhere how to disable or reprogram it.
Also NONE of the external links are working in any of my email programs or Facebook. When I tap on them, most of them open up Chrome but don't actually go to the correct website - Chrome opens to the Google search or the last webpage I was viewing. Copy and paste does work when the website address is there but links from facebook aren't able to be copied.
I have cleared the cache in Recovery mode to no effect. Multiple reboots have not corrected anything. Uninstalling email programs and reinstalling them also did not work.
I recently received an iPhone 4S from work, love it! My one disappointment, I can't figure out how to set my Outlook "out of office" from my iPhone. My blackberry had a simple option with in my email settings. Is there a comparable option on the iPhone?

I am using two different accounts on my Z2. The first one is my GMail account. Everything's perfect avout this. Second is my Exchange account. Here I figured ut that the Z2 des not sync my contacts. I checked all settings for the account and contacts are marked to be synced, but without success.

Since Microsoft Exchange is one of most common mail servers in the world this could be a showstopper for a lot of companies?
This is year 2014 and automatic notification for emails is a must otherwise the phone can't be trusted as a working tool? I don't want to login to my phone everytime I need to check if I have a received a new email.

My boss is having trouble syncing his contacts with Exchange ActiveSync. the Exchange group is his default group.I checked it on 20 iphones connected to the server and found out no one else is having problems syncing his contacts from the Exchange Group.I am sure that he is pushing mail and calander but cannot sync contact.Contacts created on the phone under Exchange Group are stays on the phone.Contact created in Outlook stays on the server. Just for the record he hold 3400 contacts on his Exchange Account.

I have an iPhone4S. The company I work for uses microsoft 365. My contacts are constantly duplicating I can't turn off "contacts" and stop them from continuing to sync becuase it will erase all of my contacts on my phone. Is there a way to back up or export my contacts on my phone, turn off syncing contacts and import? Please help! This is so frustrating.

I don't use the PIM or Microsoft Office functions much. I would love to have true push e-mail. I only have POP3 and GMail IMAP accounts, no MS Exchange. I don't care about Internet sharing.
