Motorola :: PC Does Not Recognize Moto Q9c
Jan 12, 2010I have a motorola q9c. I have connected it to my pc with a usb cable. Active sync recognizes the phone, but the pc and motorola phone tools do not. Can someone help me fix this?

Aug 20, 2011I have motorola xt720 and could not update motonav because motoextras does not see my phone. What I should do? I try to make an update in portal and tool mode and in storage mode but nothing happens. I can`t ever login to motoextras because of it. How I can solve this problem? My brain is shuting down.

It got 95% done and had an error where it could not finish.After doing some further investigation, I see I was supposed to use RSD GENERAL. I downloaded it, but it says that it can't read my phone and that it needs to be recovered. There is a list of Vendors and Versions, but they drop down boxes for it are blank! What do I do? May 3, 2010My Motorola Droid is a battery eater. I expected this when the phone was on, but it also is when powered off (I mean POWERED OFF by holding the power key and selecting Power Off, not just put in Standby or Airplane Mode). I turned it off with a fully charged battery and put it away for the night. Eight hours later, I turned it on and the battery was at 60%. The only way I can prevent this from happening is by removing the battery. The battery use indicator doesn't help much.
I was wondering whether this is a known Droid problem. I got the phone used from Verizon Wireless after I lost my other phone, which was an HTC Eris. The Eris ate battery when on but not when shut down. If this problem is specific to my phone I need to talk to Verizon about it.

Nov 21, 2011I can't seem to get my phone to communicate with Moto Cast USB. I use Zumocast for wireless, but I wanted to use Moto Cast to sync my music and videos over USB. When I plug the USB in everything starts up automatically. A screen pops up and tells me its preparing my device, then another screen pops up telling me to wait while it loads content. However, this second screen has a large yellow triangle with an exclamation in it and lists things to try if you are having connection issues. I have tried every USB option I have on the phone, it seems to force the connection back to USB mass storage, so I assume that is where it needs to be.

Jun 20, 2012I restarted my phone yesterday, or rather tried to - but it will not boot - it gets as far as the shimmering red M symbol but no farther. The only way to shut down ore try again is to remove the battery. Have also tried with USB connected, and with sim card removed. Battery shows 90% charge when USB connected.
Have tried hardware reset but it never shows the menu.
This phone is only a couple of weeks old and Im severely disapointed, my first time back to Motorola after many years away. It seemed like a good phone, but this is a great inconvenience.

Feb 3, 2010I just got a new Motorola W385 from US Cellular. I can not get P2K Commander version 6.0.0 to recognize the phone. I have installed the Handset USB Drivers from the Motorola website and set the software to use the correct COM port. If the Mode is set to P2K/P2K05, when the software starts it says that the phone is Linux based and wants to change the mode to P2K05 over USBLAN. This has not corrected the problem. I have tried all three options under P2K Tuning. Do I need a different version of P2K Commander or a different driver? I saw that the instructions called for version 4.9.C of P2K Commander but I was not able to find a downloadable copy of that version.

Mar 2, 2010I'm having trouble getting my Z6c to recognize music on my SD card. I synced from Windows Media Player to the card, but when I put the card in the phone, it can't find the songs. I had this same problem on another Moto phone. (I know the card is properly formatted, because it recognizes the photos I put in the My_Pix folder.)
I notice when I sync to the SD card, a Music folder appears. I move the album to the My_Music folder before putting the card in the phone, but no success. This is my own music I've ripped from CD.
Do I need to do this via a USB cable instead? I tried getting help from Verizon, but the CSR just kept telling me to use VCast. I don't see why this wouldn't work with Windows Media. Things were so much easier on my BlackBerry, but I really want to like this phone.

I see it can set a reminder but the reminder requires you to enter a due time/date or location and I don't really need to do that. I just want to be able to have Moto Voice add something to a simple list. I have tried the "Note to self:" command but that seems to just send an email to your gmail account and since I don't use gmail, that really isn't useful for me either. Any simple list that can be voice controlled (at least to add to the list)?
